What does sanctification have to do with salvation?

before JESUS was crucified for us on the cross people were not born again yet,JESUS went and preached to them In Hades.
You seem to be having a problem recognizing that what you see Is not the real you and what you cannot see Is the real you or what the difference Is In being born again and renewing the mind Is.

The body of flesh that you see Is not the real you.

Before JESUS was crucified,they were not reborn but after he went to Hades and preached to those that believe HE set the old testament believers free.

3Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin. 7For he that is dead is freed from sin.

if one compelled to do sin - old self still present
it is the baptism spiritual to crucify old man - sin and his lawlessness that the old man died

who received the HoSP entered the battle with his own self which is old one till it will be crucified
after this comes freedom and possibility of entering the Christ

that is called spiritual circumcision of Christ

or simply - internal man has old dress which should be undressed
nobody will give new one to dress on the old one

No matter how you slice it, the answer remains the same, no one is perfect,no one is sinless this side of heaven.

the problem is - disbelief in God's power
but Jesus died for this exactly

I wonder If he thinks that since he has been born again In the spirit that he doesn’t still sin In the flesh.I think he feels that since the spirit was made perfect that the body was made perfect here and now also.

Perhaps, I mentioned earlier that God forgives and forgets our sins, so it's like we never sinned. Maybe that is what they mean.
