If one likes mockery of the law with a wrecked train one would like any mockery.
Perhaps you should speak for yourself, and not try to speak in general for others.

I really feel for those trying to teach others the law is obsolete, since we are saved by grace. my heart really really go's out to
those being deceived by this teaching.
The law is not "obsolete," the old covenant is obsolete (Heb 8:13),
the law has been set aside
(Heb 7:18-19).

And that means you're feeling for the NT writers who reveal that

the law has been set aside by God because it was weak and useless to obtain righteousness

(Heb 7:18-19),
the law of Moses has been replaced (1Co 9:20) with the law of Christ (Mt 23:37-39; 1Co 9:21; Gal 6:2),
and the law of Christ fulfills (accomplishes) the law (Mt 23:40; Ro 13:8-10; Gal 5:6).

I don't feel for the NT writers, I believe them, and receive their revelation with joy.
my heart really really go's out to those being deceived by this teaching.
And now the NT Word of God (Mt 23:37-40; 1Co 9:20-21; Rom 13:8-10; Gal 5:6, 6:2) deceives.

You are feeling for the wrong ones.
Elin if thats what you believe, then keep on doing what you are doing, but if your world ever starts falling apart, you might try something else. as for mine falling apart, nah, just gotta keep it maintained with a wax job daily.
Why wouldn't I believe the NT?

Do you?

It is written in the Word, the Old Testament, that God's mercy is fresh each morning.

David and his men ate of the show bread when the laws were against any but the priest.
Yes, preservation of innocent human life trumps all other law,
as we see also in the Hebrew mid-wives who lied to protect the babies,
and in Rahab the harlot who lied to protect the spies from Israel

David was a murderer, and adulterer, and probably much more.
Not only that,
this murderer and adulterer was a man after God's own heart,
and yet he did not enjoy the "purity of heart" maintained by some
as necessary for right standing with God.

Forget Solomon with his wives and condubines, not to mention the enormous wealth he accumulated to himself.

These men, along with many others we are taught of, knew grace, as we witness even today from the Psalms they wrote down.

Blessed is he to whom God does not impute sin, whose transgression is covered. There is much more in the entire Word, taught by
Jesus Christ from Genesis through Revelation, which
allows for certain of the laws to be overlooked, those punitive to death, however it was not made clear to all men until Jesus Christ came in the flesh to save all who come to Him in Spirit and Truth.
Jesus did not say we could overlook the death penalty laws (Mt 26:52),
nor did Paul (Ro 13:2-5), both of whom said we were subject to them.

"Those who live by the sword (those who murder),
shall die by the sword (be subject to the death penalty)." (Mt 26:52)

"For he (governing authority) is God's servant to do you good.
But if you do wrong be afraid, for he does not bear the sword
(death penalty) in vain.
He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer."
(Ro 13:4)

It is painful, the web of deceit woven in the clerical world that hides the truth of the Old and the New Testament from so many innocent eyes.
You don't have to go to the clerical world for that.

It is alive and well apart from that.

The law is a unit which cannot be broken, you break one, you break 'em all.

Some are not "replaced by grace,"
either all are replaced by grace, or none are replaced by grace.

They cannot be separated.

And that is not a problem, because we have the law of Christ, which accomplishes the law,
and the multitude of NT commands which explains Christ's law (1Co 9:21; Gal 6:2).

JaumeJ does not understanding that or he refuses to do so and in a way Yeshua and the law have become an obstacle and stumblingblock to him through the teaching we have been given through the apostle Paul. It is so apparent, yet there is this smug attitude about keeping the OT law under the Torah as a NT believer. Can't put new wine in old wine skins or they will burst or a new patch on the old garment less it tear. They refuse to learn what it means to be NT believer under grace. They resist it and that is a form of rebellion.

In the beginning was the Word............Jesus Christ. He is all of the Word.
Right. . .but some was spoken by the prophets of old,

and some was spoken in the last days by himself (Heb 1:1-2) through the NT writers,

shedding light and giving the true meaning of the shadows spoken by the prophets of old.

And this true meaning includes his WORD that

the law has been set aside because it was weak and useless to obtain righteousness (Heb 7:18-19),
it has been replaced (1Co 9:20) with the law of Christ (1Co 9:21; Mt 22:37-39; Gal 6:2), and
the law of Christ fulfills (accomplishes) the law.

You get to decide if you believe all of the Word, who is Jesus Christ.

You have all managed to have your new church based on cancellations of scripture. Just read in these forums how many believe in what scripture says about marriage, for it is part of the law you speak so against saying you are new, it is part of what you lash out so against. Almost all cities have streets you speak so eloquently for where it is too dangerous to walk. New cars are now built with special locks against the thieves who live without the law as you lobby so for. The organized church, under your direction, has lost it's power to work for law. You have your way. You are winning for now. God will win in the end.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. (from 1 Sam. 15)

You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? 3 Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? (from Gal. 3)

Now there's some food for thought!!!

Why did God place the Law upon our minds/hearts?

Having done this, what part does it play in our Christian walk?

Are we serve God's Law with the spirit or the flesh?

What are the consequences of not serving God's Law?

Can lawless ones enter Heaven?

You foolish woman! There is no " cancellations of scripture". There are commandments that apply to Israel, and Israel alone, and there are commandments(2) that apply to you and I.

You and the other law/sabbath keepers here do the most asinine thing: "Please, please, mr. policeman of another country, put me under your law so that you can convict me of breaking it".

From reading your former posts, I believe you are reading these legalistically and making fun of God for giving them, not learning a thing from your Creator through what He says!!
* I didn't know this could be so therapeutic in laughter, I laughed so hard. Thank you both. Hugs. *And so I say, keep it going.*

*That is not said in love, to talk like that, you don't seem to be a good example of a believer, you could state your opinion without calling people names, your just terrible. How does that make you feel. You should ask the Lord for forgiveness for what you said, name calling, your just a bully then.

Make up your mind!! You say scripture isn't cancelled in one breath, then that some scripture is not meant for you who is too "special" for that to be read. Which is it? And what in the world has your mind done to you that you put God's law (translated from the word Torah) to do with secular policemen? Is that why the down with scripture if it instructs you thing in your craw? Is God really a policeman to you? God is no policeman, following Him in love is not like a criminal gritting his teeth to follow something he doesn't believe in. When you got a drivers license you learned the laws of the road, and didn't holler on and on about anyone who would write up those laws, and scream at drivers wanting to follow them, yet you would think I was coming to your town to personally batter you because I love the law and am grateful for it. It is so bad that if you knew me personally, I would be in danger from you.

*Let's write him up a ticket, and a fine, under the law he might get stoned.*

It really says, start a fight, and be divided. Jesus himself said, you load men with burdens, and don't even keep them yourself. So just as the*Orthodox*Temple I attended once, we sat behind a little white*fen se, and lo and behold,*guess*who were peeking into distracting us, the single unmarried men. Law keeping is not a thing from the heart, when the donkey fell into the ditch on the Sabbath, the Lord, pulled it out, they called him names, and a Sabbath breaker, for having a loving heart, and caring.

We hear from you over and over how scripture is not for you, it was set aside except what you choose not to set aside. To you, it is useless, but to those who love the Lord scripture is never useless. To you, when Christ fulfilled and made complete the law, Christ got rid of all His Father was and is, to people who love the Lord that is not so. You go ahead with how you see it, we will go ahead with loving the Lord.
