MahoganySnail: Where will you be in 2012??
It's only 2 years away!!

Who prophesied that the world would end in 2012? Or are you referring to the upcoming movie??
Please answer.
Thanks,
Maggie
I just read it in the internet that the Mayans made their calendar named after them and according to the studies, the calendar ends in 2012 which means the end of the world. Although i'm a Man of God and not convinced, i'm just curious waht if will happen. So, i guess i'll wait in 2012 and see if that prophecy i just a hoax.

Most scientists think it will be some sort of astronomical event but nothing more than that.

They say that all the planets are going to allign in 2012 (which they are) but it is supposed to be the end of the world. Yet this makes no sense, this is not the first time all the planets have lined up.

It's a clear case of exaggeration. Like the superstition surrounding solar or lunar eclipses. The only ones who will worry about this are astrologers and those women who think their monthly cycles are so important that they are tied to the moon's orbit.

Indeed it is, I find it quite funny thought to be honest.

Would you still be faithful to God if foreign magi used astronomy and possibly astrology to track down the baby Jesus? God speaks to whoever he wills in whatever way he wishes; just because someone heard his voice doesn't mean the rest of what they taught is valid, though. Even if the Mayans turned out to be right, you don't need to replace your Bible with the Popul Vuh.

Well, i'm considering Mayans as false prophets that's why i'm separating them from God it's like a tug of war where one of them will win. I know God is the truth and nobody can foresee the future but him and his prophets but if that ever happens, i'm seeing the Mayans are not the ones who predicted it.

Matthew 24:36 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Therefore we can conclude that this prophecy is just a myth and the whole purpose of this is to create a huge panic to us. I became fascinated to this story since last year but when i found out that they've made a movie for this, i became less-convinced about this story and my intention is to hear your thoughts and see how strong and assured you are.

If they've made a movie, then it MUST BE TRUE AGHH. Really, ask yourself if men who dress like this could really predict the end of the world:

I just gave you a verse that proves it wrong.

Actually, i'm in disbelief about the Planet X Nibiru and formations but it's still interesting how skeptic people are:D

They took advantage of that story to make money out of it that's why it became less-convincing to me.:):)

This wouldn't be the first time the earth has seen a mass extinction either. Don't support the 2012 hysteria but god has all but wiped mankind off of this planet before with the exception of a few in an ark.

It is possible that something may happen and the date is there because as we all know satan in the great imitator. It is also very possible that all of this is just great hype to promote a movie.
What ever happens I will stay with Jesus as he is the only one that offers a true reward for faith. He also is the only one that healed my heart for simply accepting him and his salvation.
God bless, pickles

According to Josephus Adam predicted that the world would be destroyed twice.

Once by water and once by fire.

Listening to the Global Warming scaremongers it will be destroyed by water again.

I can, however make two detailed predictions regarding the Rapture.

1. The Sunday following the Rapture the churches will be packed.

2. The text for the day will be.... 'they went out from among us because they were not of us....';)

Who's going to take the service if all Christians are raptured and the Holy Spirit removed?

Everyone will be lol, there is no rapture that results in that sort of scenario . That's the stuff of movies and books like the Left Behind series I'm afraid.

Your "detailed predictions" obviously didn't think about who is going to take this Sunday church service or for what purpose or who will draw people to the church and convict them if the Holy Spirit is removed.

To me it is bleedingly obvious. There are any number of unsaved people who go to church currently. Many who do not have a personal ralationship with the Creator and do not have the seal of his Spirit.

People who think they are saved by believing TULIP or are descended from the lost 10 tribes of Israel.

It is all in the parable of the mustard seed.
