Here are the fruits of my spending the day with the WORD
If we ask the Lord to have our backs, we must LEAN on his continually.
Roll away the stone that keeps the Lord from entering our lives, we ALL have blockages that prevent us from fully accepting & embracing Christ & HIS way of living.
Don't get comfortable with compliments, They become like a woolly blanket whose warmth we'll continue to seek.
We keep saying "I want to be like Christ" then let's BE like Christ, let's walk a mile in HIS shoes, just 1 mile at a time & because we know he cares, he WILL walk with us while we do it.
We can only study the scriptures for so long, at some point we are going to have prove that.
1) that they are TRUE.
2) that they are IN us.

The sacrifices we have or have not made, or are afraid to make.
Are nothing to the sacrifice that Christ GAVE.
THE TIME FOR TALK IS OVER.
Amen , He will Never fail to keep those who are willing to follow where he leads. even if we stumble even if it takes us time to learn how to walk , even if we aren’t impressive he always is towards those who will take a step after him

even if we have to acknowledge our weaknesses before him , even if we have to repent when we do wrong he’s always going to be there with us encouraging , teaching , comforting , admonishing , disciplining when we need it , he’s always there if we embrace him always working to make us better than we were yesterday , if we will only hear and believe and trust in his ways

But can the love of a spouse, be compared to the Love of God?
The Bible does this very often. The Church is often referred to as "The Bride of Christ". It could be said that one of the greatest uses of marriage is to paint a beautiful picture of Christ's love. I'm so sorry that your view of marriage has been sullied by bad experiences.

I refer to the love of a human, verses the love of GOD, 1 has a limit the other doesn't, I'm sure I mentioned it. but the beginnings of any relationship/marriage is full of bliss,
GOD's love never wavers

Thank for that apology, fully appreciated,...... If you read my answer to your questions, about how I keep Sabbath. am I valid in saying I'm trying to live as a Christian.
The reason I don't post Bible verses is, I expect all Christians to be aware of the Bible and it's contents, I think what's important is HOW we interpret and embrace those verses into actuality, and allow them help to transform us.
I suppose it comes down to whether keeping the Sabbath makes you a Christian.
Is that what you think?
The Jews have a Sabbath, the Muslims have a Sabbath.
That doesn't give them the validity of living as a Christian.

If I am honest I was a bit worried as to whether your were affiliated to the SDA'S

I have seen it on this site and been told myself that if you do not keep the Sabbath on a Saturday then you are not a Christian, not saved.

Having read one of your posts I now know you don't think that at all.

The point I was trying to make is that keeping the Sabbath does not make us a Christian and it does not validate our faith in Jesus.

So no I don't think any of us keeping the Sabbath can give us cause to say we are living like a Christian.

We do that every day, wanting to be like Jesus.
That is what validates us as living as a Christian.
That I know you do, as you know I do.

Can I just offer a bit of advice concerning your quote about how you expect all Christians to be aware of the Bible and it's contents and how we itnerpret it and as a result you do not post Bible verses.

Firstly our interpretation may be different.
Secondly some may not have because they do not fully understand it and need help.
It's useful where those who can apply good hermeneutics and have an understanding to explain it and expand on the verses in question.

That was the point I was trying to relay to you.

I know you want to be like Jesus, I do and most of us on here.

That's what validates us, because people will see it.

God bless.

I don't understand what your trying to say here, and who its directed at, it appears you believe someone thinks they are superior because they keep Saturday over the Sunday Sabbath....
Your post actually validates Saturday, because "we are not like Sabbath keepers who violate Sunday".
Can I point out to everyone that when the Sabbath was sanctified by GOD, there was only Adam and Eve, Hebrews were not there, so the Sabbath does not belong to the Hebrews, but was made for man.
what?

you don't understand satire already?

you should since you want to keep Jewish customs

PEOPLE read what I write not what you think.
Misinterpretation is rampant to some on here... first off, no I don't understand satire, I was born in the pacific, we didn't know about sarcasm, satire and the like till coming to the civilised world,
NO I do not think Keeping the Sabbath makes you a Christian, it's a part of.
I'm trying to live by the scriptures, and it tells me that someone/thing will try to change GOD's times and LAW's.
Wait... didn't someone already say they had the power to change GOD's Law's, and forgive our sin's, because they represent GOD on earth.
(read what the Catholics say in their Catechism of themselves). we are even offered to pay for our forgiveness.
NO I am not SDA either, but its very hard to find another Church open on Saturday.
I don't think, posting Bible quotes is enough, there must be understanding, and an explanation to go with them, which is why I refrain, or it may appear I'm pushing my views on other's

Is this misinterpretation or assumption ?....I never said I wanted to keep the Jewish customs, if your referring to keeping Sabbath, and that being a Jewish custom, then I must have missed that in the fine print. doesn't it say in the Book of Genesis, "on the 7th day GOD sanctified it and made it Holy, If the account's in Genesis are correct, the only people there were Adam and Eve, and Adam lived to be over 900 yrs old, ...even then when he died there were no Jews,.... when Noah died there were no Jew's...(side question- what was the difference between Noah, and everyone, what did he do different from everyone else ?).

personally, since you asked, I believe that much of what you write is assumption and subjective understanding of a topic it does not seem you are qualified to explain

your scripture mashups indicate either an inability to focus or a desire to give the impression you know all about everything

personally, I am leaning towards the latter

following is an example of what I am describing:

your disappointment does not factor into my understanding and most likely that applies to the majority of folks on this site

in fact, and this is not charitable on my part, I think you are somewhat of a windbag in love with your own opinions

I asked if what you wrote about me was misinterpretation (and it is), I then challenged you to find anywhere here were I misinterpret you or anyone, ...as a reply to your.... "you must feel at home" comment to your highlighted "misinterpret" sentence on one of my post.
....I'm assuming you couldn't find one....so in order to make yourself feel better... you attack me personally.
I humble myself, when I reply to you and others on here, the Holy Spirit then guides my response's, so I don't say what I feel.
I don't want to ATTACK my fellow brother's and sister's, and create disharmony...cause Christians are LOVING & KIND.
My disappointment is,...you sound intelligent, so your 7 line quip at me ...was to me,
Have I said some TRUTH's that prompted you to start name calling... What is a CHRISTIAN to YOU?... and How are they meant to behave and treat each other,....as well as non....
I learnt as a CHRISTIAN not to lower the standard the LORD had lifted me to, I have learnt not to throw rocks in a glass House, and to re-assess my walk continually.... so I don't become one of the fallen, and have a negative "like for like" attitude.
I offer this free advice...... SPEND MORE TIME being IN THE SPIRIT and OF THE SPIRIT... GODblessyou.

Try to ignore the barbs. She does it to everyone. I don't think she can help herself. Or, maybe does not want too.

and what are you doing ?

your thread on your requirements for salvation ran its course and that angers you because your actual beliefs, Oneness Pentecostal, finally were identified and you had to stop

so, here you are actually creating barbs yourself

why don't you tell everyone in this thread that you believe a person must speak in tongues and be water baptized or they are not saved? tell them that even if they have accepted Christ and are living for Him, you say they are not saved unless they are water baptized and speak in tongues AND they can only be baptized in Jesus name only. If they have been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, it is no good according to you

and tell them that you are Oneness Pentecostal and do not believe in the Trinity either

see how that goes over

Thank you,SophieT..... The credit is not mine, but the Spirit in me, I ask GOD to lead my life and allow him to do it... As we all know, our walk is not an easy walk, it is a path many will take, only a few will stay on,
I thank you once again but the standard was set by Christ, I am merely trying to follow/copy his example, If you can read that in me then I thank you very much, but thank the Lord even more for abiding in me.
GOD bless and guide you on your journey my sister.
LOVE. PEACE & HARMONY.

posts like that are very difficult to read through, and confusing (can be). i think many people online I have seen (not here so much) talk in a bad way. this is like a plague i have seen online.

Hahaha..... just reading your last post again SophieT. and I'm starting to read sarcasm in there - I hope I'm wrong.

"You,.. Lord,.. give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and their trust In you".... Isaiah 26: 3
