he has not been allowed to bring this great war on the saints about throughout time, but is allowed to in his little season.

the nominal professors of Christ who are not saved will be sifted during that time. many will not remain faithful unto death, proving i suppose they really never trusted Him anyways.

most will be killed, though as Paul told us in 1 Thess, not all will die, some will be alive at the Second Coming...

Satan is not going to go after someone who is not really having victory in Christ and actually doing something to grow the church and those in the church. He attacks people who are doing these things. Or who are put in positions where they can have a greater impact. Which I was placed in.

I am sorry sis. this makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. I don't know what to say. Satan is cast into a bottomless pit. he is not there today. He never has been. So don't get what your saying.

Now Christ being on Earth ruling from the throne of David (as was promised) And satan bound so he can not decieve the nations to come against Christ. Where the fox and the sheep live in peace and harmony. And there is world peace like has never been. Then after he is released. People who still really did not want to follow God even though he is here himself. Are easily tempted to make war with him. This makes total sense.

Saying satan is SHUT up. means more than just make war. Shut up means your propaganda, your lies, Your temptations anything you say and do are prevented from happening to anyone. Satan fights with his mouth. Not with his hands. He tempts the people to fight. And they buy into his lies and this is what causes them to attack. Just like he does today. He comes as an angel of light. He is like a rouring lion seeking who he may devour. He does this now. During this 1000 years. He will not be able to do this period.

then i listened to a sermon by a preacher who was just sobbing over it all...and angry. he was horrified.

he was saying: "surely this can ONLY be judgment from God on the carnality of the NA churches!....surely He has sent lying spirits and strong delusion on those people, spirits to do the work of the prophets of Baal!....all the unsaved world sees it and is sickened....etc."

it is pretty scary to look at...that "holy laughter", "slain in the spirit"...the Copeland Hinn stuff.

What you have seen is nothing yet. I know you do not believe in the 7 years. But scripture says the man of sin will call fire down from heaven under the power of satan. We are just beginning to see what is yet to come.

amillennialism doesn't deny the eschaton.

its just that the trib won't be 7 years long...at least, if it is, it won't be because the 70th week has been severed and placed at the end.

i can't be certain, haven't spend enough time on it yet, but Rev suggests two different possible time frames: 3 and 1/2 years, and there's another reference to 5 months.

why do people think Revelations is written by John the Apostle?

What if it was written by John the Baptist who is called a prophet by Jesus and the writers of the four Gospels?

does it say where John was imprisoned? could it have been the island of Patmos?

most of the books were not written down until much later. I've read what the historians say about Revelations but I always wonder, How do they know?

If John wrote it would have to have been penned between

A mob boss in prison can still have communication with the outside world. and can still give orders. there's the BINDING/RESTRAINING RIGHT THERE.

Paul said satan is restrained (its the very same as the 'bound' in Rev 20, and Jesus's "binding" of the "strongman" while his house is plundered). Paul says he will be released...this chapter concerns the eschaton.
