First of all if I came here to pick a fight I should just have replied to your posts. but the thing is my first post in this topic is my stand for the question, then you came and counterattack my post, then I tried to defend my stand. and now you're calling me stupid? who then is trying to pick a fight? anyway I'll try to explain my side for the last time. this will be my last post for this thread.
If you read the bible, through and through you would see how God sacrifice a lot for his people. In the OT how many times the Israelites turn their back to God beside everything God has done to them. NT is very evident on the sacrificial love of God. Loving the unloveable, that itself is a sacrifice. The endless commands like love your enemy, pray for those who persecute you, bear each other's burdens.. those are sacrifice. Now if you think you're deserving of God's grace and mercy, then you can say that love needed no sacrifice at all.
"If you read the bible, through and through you would see how God sacrifice a lot for his people. In the OT how many times the Israelites turn their back to God beside everything God has done to them."
now this makes me laugh(what you said) let's see:
if you haven't noticed in the old testament:
God is forgiving israellites everytime they turn their back, and afterwards reconcilling with God.
that is called Gd's Mercy not sacrifice.
"Loving the unloveable, that itself is a sacrifice."
another one that makes me laugh:
again.. that is not sacrifice.
that's loving more than what you know in this world
"The endless commands like love your enemy, pray for those who persecute you, bear each other's burdens.. "
now this one you almost got it all right, cause it can get confusing..
-love your enemy? i wouldn't do that with sacrifice. i would do it gladly (hipothetically cause that's real hard)
-pray for those who persecute you? i wouldn't do that with sacrifice. i already do it gladly and not with sacrifice
bear each other's burdens? now if you do this with sacrifice. no one would surelly trust
you to share any personnal sad story of them.
strangely as it may seem you didn't mentioned the only sacrifice that God made for US!
and that's the crucifixion of Jesus! plus some other things, but mainly the
Cross
remember the post where you got so mad at me for daring your ego?
it goes like this:
"Re: What Is Love?
yeah i get what you mean, we sacrifice for love..but love is not literally sacrifice but i get what you mean :s :s
it's just that love is not a sacrifice to me. i love because i want to...and i sacrifice because i want to. and if we love someone or many we sacrifice for that love."
now that you are leaving and i'm glad,
can you ask yourself the question?
what part didn't I understand that what nio said doesn't contradict my definition for love?(love is sacrifice).
bye bye
