Aion was written twice. it means age after age, ie forever.

We are told satan will burn age after age, and told those not written in the book of life will be there with him.

If you do not like the truth. maybe you want it to be just a small time?

Again, Being separated by God will be hell. I believe the burning will be internal. (weeping and nashing of teeth)

But, what you've stated isn't the truth. The Greek text says ages of ages, it is possible that ages of ages could be eternity. However, Since Scripture gives us an example of the fire and it didn't burn for eternity we know that it isn't eternal. Also we have prophecy that Gehenna will one day be made holy again to the Lord. So, that is a second confirmation that it will not burn for eternity. That is from the Scriptures and therefore it is truth.

Then I guess you'll have to tell Paul he was wrong. Who is without excuse? Read verse 18, men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. In order to suppress the truth one must know the truth.

I guess you'll have to tell Paul that this statement is wrong.

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. (Rom 5:13 KJV)
you need to learn to read.

The people who supress the truth will be EVERYONE who denied Christ.

so. why bother stopping my sin? why bother suffering for God? All I have to do is have fun, drink and be merry.

Hell is not forever. I will either cease to exist. or eventually be allowed in heaven anyway.

wow dude. You have some serious issues, and are a danger to the work of God.

The Law is to be a statute “forever” (Ex.12:24; 27:21; 28:43).

never stopped never will

So you turn to God out of fear of eternal torment?
where do you get that from?

I turn to God KNOWING my plight against him, KNOWING and TRUSTING he will save me, and give me what he wanted to give me in the first place.

But does this mean I should water down Gods wrath on those who reject him?
And say do not worry, it will not be forever.

Ecclesiastes 3.....Whatsoever GOD does it shall be FOREVER.....Nothing added, nothing taken away from it and he does it this way so men may fear HIM.....

Whatsoever means EXACTLY THAT...WHAT EVER GOD DOES it will LAST FOREVER!

I need to learn how to read? where does the text say that infants have denied Christ? Where does the text say the mentally handicapped have denied Christ? I don't believe it does, therefore the passage doesn't even address the theory that I posted.

I find it interesting that so many draw this theology from Revelation, an apocalyptic book which is full of symbolism. For those who believe in ETC, let me ask you a question. Do you believe that Jesus was a lamb with seven eyes hanging on a cross?

5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. (Rev 5:5-7 KJV)

3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

3And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.
11Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel:
behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

Isaiah 29(16-24)
17Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into
a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?

18And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book,
and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

24They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding,
and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.

Isaiah 65:20 (KJV)
There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not
filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old;
but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

God does not torture people forever. Those who believe that must have Him confused with Dick Cheney. What He does do is simply put incorrigibly wicked people out of existence so they do not make themselves and everyone around them miserable.
In a biblical sense Gods wrath abides on sin not the people. The people have rejected the need to be separate from their sin so they are bound to their sin forever. The eternal nature of things spiritual leads one to conclude that the punishment on sin is forever and since the people are bound to it they will suffer accordingly. Even former Vice President Dick Cheney cannot alter what God has decreed.

It's not I that has a problem, I'm not impugning God's character. God gave the Law to show the Jews and mankind what justice was, an eye for an eye. He told Adam, if he ate from the tree he would die. He said the soul that sins, it shall die. Paul said the wages of sin is death. Everywhere in Scripture the punishment for sin is death. Nowhere in Scripture is it said that the punishment of sin is eternal burning. What I believe is that the wicked will die, they will be burned up in the fire.

The danger is for those who hold to ETC. According to this doctrine God says one thing but then does something. The threatened punishment is death but according to this doctrine that is changed to eternal burning, that's kind of a bait and switch. To threaten one punishment and then give a different one is dishonest. Those who hold the ETC position are in a tight spot on how they can get away with this doctrine and not impugn God's character. Again, God has shown mankind what His idea of justice is. The ETC doctrine doesn't fit into God's teaching on justice.

Again, it's not a matter of judging God. It is a matter of knowing what God would do in any given situation because God is love and God is good. For Abraham asked, shall not the Judge of the Earth do right? Did God judge fairly in that situation? You betcha! And God still is fair and good in His Judgments. I don't need a Bible to tell me what is fair and just. You don't either. Yet folks are saying it is like some BIG mystery that we cannot know God's justice and goodness on this matter. We are supposed to believe some flawed interpretation of Scripture because that is what everyone teaches. Sorry. Truth is not determined by a popularity contest. God's Word is the standard and we can explain the truths within it easily and simpy using real world examples. For Jesus Christ did it all the time.
That is precisely what you endeavor to do...judge God. Job had this discussion with God and God asked Job a question. Where were you, Job, when I laid the foundations of the world?

God understands His righteousness and judgment far better than I. God inhabits eternity so He alone knows the severity of His punishment upon sin. I should think that if man considered the severity of hell the need to spend even five minutes there would be more than sufficient reason to take whatever course of action was necessary to avoid it.

This is a question of love. Do you love sin more than God?

Yeah, I just find the use of such a word to be impersonal (if you don't know the person);
But it's all good.

Peace, love, and blessings be unto you.
HAH when I use the word dude you rake me over the coals......there is a word for your double standard!
