I see it this way sis. We first need to see the need to be saved. Then we can see that we can do nothing to pull ourselves out from a certain death situation. The Word of God shows us the situation that we are in, and Obviously has sent His own Son to deliver us. We confess those things (sins and transgressions) to Him that we find in His Word that keeps us apart from Him, also turning from them and toward Him at the same time, and He stretches out His hand and pulls us toward Him out of the danger that will kill us for sure.
2 Corinthians 6:2 (KJV)
[SUP]
2 [/SUP](For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now
is the accepted time; behold, now
is the day of salvation.)
Every day, find out where you stand with Christ, and take nothing for granted. Die daily to yourself, and ask God every day, with sincerity, to do in you what you can't do yourself. The more we die to ourselves, the more He fills the gaps with His Spirit.
Ephesians 5:14-20 (KJV)
[SUP]
14 [/SUP]Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
[SUP]
15 [/SUP]See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
[SUP]
16 [/SUP]Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
[SUP]
17 [/SUP]Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord
is.
[SUP]
18 [/SUP]And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
[SUP]
19 [/SUP]Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
[SUP]
20 [/SUP]Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Philippians 4:7-9 (KJV)

7 [/SUP]And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 [/SUP]Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things
are honest, whatsoever things
are just, whatsoever things
are pure, whatsoever things
are lovely, whatsoever things
are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if
there be any praise, think on these things.
[SUP]
9 [/SUP]Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
