His was a really dumb question. Any bible or secular dictionary will give a definition of righteousness. It doesn't have to come through me.
lol then color me "dumb". You're a follower of Christ who has the truth, and I'm a wayward soul. You wouldn't deny your task to win lost souls would you? What is righteousness?

I will give you a hint ok of what is righteousness

[h=3]Psalm 92[/h]King James Version (KJV)
15 To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

[h=3]1 John 3[/h]King James Version (KJV)

4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

[h=3]1 John 5[/h]King James Version (KJV)
17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

Even the very question of 'what laws are still valid' beggars the imagination of the redeemed soul.
Would a soul that is redeemed in the blood of the Lamb steal?
Would a soul that is redeemed in the blood of the Lamb murder?
Would a soul that is redeemed in the blood of the Lamb steal another man's wife? (Adultery)
Would a soul that is redeemed in the blood of the Lamb worship another god?
Would a soul that is redeemed in the blood of the Lamb lust after earthly goods? (covet)

What would a soul that is redeemed in the blood of the Lamb do?
Jesus said what they will do.
Love the Lord their God with everything they are-(and by so doing), love their neighbor as themselves. Matthew 22:37-40

none is righteous outside of Jesus Christ.

Without faith in God and what He did for us on the cross we can never hope to please Him

sorry it took so long to get around to your question

What is the Law of Moses ?
Depends on the context.

Sometimes it refers to the Ten Commandments (Mt 22:37-40),
sometimes it refers to all the ceremonial laws of Leviticus, etc.

Of course not. He exalted the law. And he taught against following it as a means of righteousness. He knew how to use it lawfully. You keep adding this phrase in there...what is righteousness?

In the NT, righteousness is two things:

1) justification = declaration of right standing before God because of forgiveness of sin through faith in Christ Jesus

2) holiness = transformation of character through obedience by the Holy Spirit

Hence god has inumerous angels people? Statisticians have calculated the "mortality rate" for the world to be roughly .883 percent. This means that 1 out of every 113 people in the world died last year.

Based on this rate, here is an estimate of the incidence of death among people now living in the world:

1.78 deaths per second
107 deaths per minute
6,390 deaths per hour
153,000 deaths per day
56.0 million deaths per year
3.9 billion deaths per average lifetime (70 years)

Of course, these numbers are based on inductive generalization and therefore are not infallible; however, the fact remains that people are dying all around us - and many of these people have not heard of the salvation of the LORD God of Israel through Yeshua His Son.

May these sobering thoughts spur us on to action! May they shock us out of our apathy and move our heart's affections to freely share the gospel of our LORD Jesus the Messiah to a dying and hurting world.

"O blessed Holy One of Israel, give us all a heart for the lost children of this world! Give us joyful courage to reach out to them all. Help us, LORD, to be your witnesses in the truth. In the Name of Yeshua our LORD I ask: Amen."

He is the Lord God Almighty Savior of those in all nations who believe in Christ Jesus,
and is Savior to none in all nations who do not.

and is Savior in all nations to none who do not.

Watching the tragedy in the Philippines today brought me to tears and led me to ask how much longer o lord? How much longer til you settle the earth and its people's? No one leaves earth without his knowledge? How can we know this is true ? Because every persons last breath is like the first, god starts the breathing process and each one returns to him at the end. Therefore I and the father work? Want to know what business god is in ? The life and death business? Be thankful this day that wether rich or poor you are still alive in his great plan others have left earth and life before you, gods mercy is evident that your breathing still . Angels are workers structured, assigned to many tasks ensuring not one is forgotten for as Adam before breath was dead so life is in the breath? At that last breath a spiritual mould of everything that spirit was and did went bk to god who gave it ? Our lives are in our breathing, not many think about breathing but I do, I highly recommend. Give thanks to god for breathing its one of those things we just take for granted bt I think breathing deserves a bit more praise.. We are reaping weather systems cos we sin against the earth the air the ground besides god I mean and we expect sunshine , weather is worsening people bt pray for those today who lost thier very breath???? Come old Jesus even so ?, come

Yes, it is a staggering loss of life, and now the health crisis for the survivors begins.

If God were not sovereign, all powerful, holy, good and wise, the events of the world would undo me.

you didn’t let GOD down…
how do you let go of guilt? there are two approaches to guilt. one is right and one is wrong. they are both seen in two of the disciples in the bible – peter and judas. both peter and judas, on the night before JESUS was taken into custody, both denied JESUS. they both sinned. but they responded very, very differently to their guilt. one response was right and one response was wrong. you will choose one of these two responses to the guilt you have in life.

the way judas responded was condemnation. self condemnation.

matthew 27.3-5 (niv), when judas, who had betrayed him, saw that jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse. then he went out and hanged himself."

he committed suicide. that's the ultimate expression of self-condemnation. he said, “i’ve blown it! i’ve made the biggest mistake of my life! i’ve created the greatest sin! therefore life is worthless and i’m condemned.” he went out and took his own life. there are many, many ways to live in condemnation without committing suicide.

but peter, on the other hand, his response was not condemnation but confession.

matthew 26.75 (niv), then peter remembered the word JESUS had spoken and he went outside and wept bitterly.

he had the same remorse judas did but he confessed his sin. how do i know he did that? because a few days later GOD used him.

peter must have said, “GOD, i’m so sorry. i lived with JESUS CHRIST for 3½ years. i’ve watched every move and when it came down in a clench, i copped out! i denied i ever knew you. GOD, i’ve really let you down!” have you ever said that to GOD? “GOD, i’ve blown it! i’ve really let you down.” and GOD, says, “no, my child. you did not let me down. because you weren’t holding ME up in the first place.”

you don’t hold GOD up. HE holds you up. you don’t have GOD in your hands. HE has you in HIS hands. this may shock you but nothing you ever do surprises GOD. isn't it amazing that GOD knows every stupid mistake i’m going to make for the rest of my life and yet HE still loves me? HE already knows. that’s grace, folks.

peter said, “GOD, how could you use me? i’m so unfaithful.” but he confessed his sin. he repented and peter, the man who denied JESUS CHRIST at the crucifixion, was the same man that GOD chose to use 50 days later on the day of pentecost to speak and 3,000 people were saved. that’s the GOD of the second chance. that’s the good news. you confess it to GOD.

just a thought from the front porch…
