Yaaqob 2:18, "Yes, a man may say: You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works!"

Isayah 29:13, "Therefore Yahweh said: Because these people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their reverence to Me is taught by the precept of men."
Precisely.

Faith which does not manifest itself in obedience is not true saving faith, it is counterfeit faith.
(Mt 7:21-23)

But it is the true faith alone that saves (Eph 2:8), and not its manifestation of obedience.

Obedience simply demonstrates that it is the true faith which alone saves.

It's not that complicated.

My brother I do not believe any man is saved by works of law.

this is truth, if man relied on his own works they would never be enough.

Also I want to add I have stated this over 10 times here, but the default position seems to be to yeel fallen from grace about those who actually want to follow Yahweh's instruction.

now I ask you to acess post 1268, and give me you commentary on Rev 22:12-15 and Matt 5:19, something I have asked you many times....
ok good since u said that that works can't save, what comes after faith saves? we become new creatures correct? and we would have a new nature correct? our nature won't be of sin anymore, isn't that the fulfillment of the law right there? well then since the entire commandments is fulfilled through the death and receiving of the holy spirit what is left for us to do? The just shall live by faith, not the just shall live by commandments because the commandments already fulfilled in us

certianly my use of english did not represent what I meant, and I apoligize for that. What I meant is you focus seemed more anti-works, as in what the people claimed to do rather than looking at WHY Yahshua says for them to get away, and again it is not because of sin, iniquity does not mean sin, it is because they wont subject themselves to Yahweh's Law.

iniquity is: #0458 ἀνομία anomia {an-om-ee'-ah} from G0459

Greek Word Study (Transliteration-Pronunciation Etymology & Grammar)
1) the condition of without law

Sin is I am trying to live how Yahweh wants but I messed up, we all do that. But iniquity is im dont have to follow Yahweh old stupid Instructions!!!
I have always seen iniquity as the human nature. Thanks for confirming that.

And I as well as others have explained it to you before. I personally get tired of repeating myself to people who don't seem to want to know the truth.
i dont recall you ever adressing the latter 2? Possibly Mt 7? I run in circles with many here, but I do it in the hopes they will know truth and not follow mystery babylon.

now I ask you to acess post 1268, and give me you commentary on Rev 22:12-15 and Matt 5:19, something I have asked you many times....

Will these verses help?

1 John 5:13 (KJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP]These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

John 5:39-43 (KJV)
[SUP]39 [/SUP]Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
[SUP]40 [/SUP]And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
[SUP]41 [/SUP]I receive not honour from men.
[SUP]42 [/SUP]But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
[SUP]43 [/SUP]I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

John 3:14-16 (KJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
[SUP]15 [/SUP]That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Yes they do. Thank you. One more.

We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death.

i dont disagree, but if one is truly walking in the Spirit their actions will be in line with the Law, I can hionestly say out of all the "spirit" walking people I have met, that didnt look into the Law only a literall handful actually matched their actions with what the Law perscribes.

myself, I HAVE A BOOK IN FRONT OF ME that tells me how Yahweh wants me to behave, why not read it?

i agree and I also want to add that *I BELIEVE* someone who says they believe but still walks in the ways Yahweh says not to, does not really believe, they might believe that He exist, but they dont really believe, if they believed they would do. and im not singling anyone out here.

my whole life i have been a so called "christian" but continued to walk against what the Scriptures said, going to church and never hearing ssin condemmed, just its ok your saved! but never once: Yahchanan 5:14, "Afterward, Yahshua found him in the sacred precincts and said to him: Behold, you are healed. Sin no more, or a worse thing will come upon you"

It was not until I studied the Scriptures for about 4 years with NO outside influence, just Scripture and prayer that I actually changed. all those years I dont think I ever really accepted the Messiah, I did the "repeat after me prayer" but now i can see a difference in who I am, and im more a peace and joy than ever, and I want all to caome to this place and even surpass it, thats why i speak obedience and seriousness, I have been cleansed, the Messiah has done His part noe I have to do my part through the Spirit of Yahweh.

HalleluYAHWEH!

Yes, truth, and as my brother said before he died, he said to my Sister, that all his life he had tried so hard to serve God and do all that was right, to please all around including God, was kind of a legalist. He said to her after that confession, in all that he had tried to do and be, that he now sees that GOD JUST LOVES HIM. He was 33 when he was found passed away two miles above the Sanctuary on Campus Crusade for Christ, leaned against a boulder with a bible in his hand. Found by hikers on a Sunday. They did Autopsies on his death for a cause at least 3, and found no physical cause of death, the only thing they found was that he died on Thursday. This was in 1978, that this took place. I was 21 at the time. When I heard the report as in no physical cause of death found, I was then convinced, beyond any shadow of a doubt that Christ and Father are real. I re committed my life to God then and there, only to see what a drunk and druggie I was at that time, but God changed me over the years, and never once by fear or force as this world does.

but something has to happen to tell you that you are doing the right thing and your going down the right path, i might be wrong but i believe to truly accept him we gotta make our heart empty( clean the way for him ) what i mean by this, i'm not to sure if it's true or not but when i had confess all the wrong i did to my mom my heart felt empty and needed something else to fill it, i believe that we gotta clean our hearts first say that we were wrong in whatever we did or that thing will still have a hold on you
I got that Josh, we sweep the heart clean, yet there is an empty heart, that needs life from God. And if not believe except in self doing the works, the demon that was kicked out goes and finds many more demons and returns to that man that is empty. and the man is worse off than before. Christ talked about this somewhere in the word.
So what do we do, do we clean the heart again and try, try, try or do we give up the self flesh efforts raising our little white flags and ask for Mercy and for God to kick them all out? Then trust in God alone 24/7, at least learn to. and be set free as it is only the truth that sets one free, and error keeps one in bondage. for no Demon can enter a born again person, they can oppress but not enter ever again, where we are saved after Jesus has come to live in us.
So whomever is still in bondage has not been set free, being in error somewhere in their truth, and might need to re-think their truth in order to be free from bondage yes? and see that it is all God and none of man that saves.

For salvation, do works of law have to be added to true faith in Christ's work on the cross?

True faith manifests in obedience. . .is it the obedience that saves, or the faith alone
that saves (Eph 2:8) from the wrath of God (Ro 5:9)?

Thats not the case at all. It has nothing to do with sin. Because we all sin. Are you going to sit here and say you are righteous, and do not transgress gods law. That you do not deserve to be condemned?

I know what iniquity is. You do not have to show me. I have plenty of greek and hebrew helps..

The point is. These people claimed to do works. Even claimed to obey God. So why is god telling these people he NEVER KNEW THEM?

That should be your first hint. The fact God NEVER knew them, should prove to you they were NEVER SAVED. Yet these people did ALOT of works.. why?? What separates them form people who ARE saved, Yet still transgress Gods law. And soes the SAME works??

In reading the comments made by all that are here, I see something that I believe all would agree on. If we can’t agree, then I can clearly understand why we have these differences of how God works in our personal lives. The following is what works for me.

1.Works of righteousness without first believing in the salvation of Christ Jesus, and the giving of His Holy Spirit, are vanity, and worthless

2.After receiving the gift of eternal life, the indwelling Holy Spirit causes us to recognize the immense love of God toward us.

3.By the Holy Spirit, we understand that the flesh, and old nature continues to raise its ugly head, and we have a battle within ourselves, wanting to love God, as He desires.

4.We have entered into a relationship with God, through Christ Jesus, and know, if our old nature has its way, we will be separated from Him until we ask for forgiveness, and be conquerors of the old nature through Him.

5.As we walk in the path of salvation, we will be conformed into His image and likeness.

6. Paul died daily and we are also given that strength to fight. We continue to pick up our cross daily, and follow, day by day, doing the works of the Holy Spirit, and being cleaned up as God has predestined.

7. To know what is correct, we understand that we should study God's Word, to show ourselves what is acceptable in the sight of God

Now lets see how honest you are.

1. How well do you obey that book?
2. Do you obey that book well enough to earn salvation?
3. What is Gods standard, according to that book, of obaying in a way one can merit salvation?

And are we not under a new Covenant, at the death of Christ, in a new Priesthood and have new Laws, the Laws of Love?
Hebrews 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

[h=3]Hebrews 9:16[/h]
For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
Hebrews 9:17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

Hebrews 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
Hebrews 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

brother Josh, if one is too busy fighting following Yahweh's Law tooth and nail how can they:

Yeremyah 31:33, "...I will put My Law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; minds, and I will be their Father, and they will be My people."
That is imputed by Christ to us that believe in God through Christ and it is not us that do it is God through us that does the works, we through the cross are dead to self works, and thus are born again by God the Father with the Holy Ghost that now does the leading into all truth that sets us free to love as God does. Do you see this ?

If it is brought to our attention that we are doing wrong, and we haven't the desire to change our ways, we are flipping God off (in short).

Romans 6:1-3 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
[SUP]2 [/SUP]God forbid.
How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Acts 17:30 (KJV)
[SUP]30 [/SUP]And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

A friendship flourishes with mutual understanding. When a person does their own thing with their friends disapproval, that persons friend will not participate in what they disapprove of, henceforth the relationship is lost until there can be a reconciliation.
