That's the question I'm asking. My family and I always went to church on Sunday's. However, I know some people go on Saturdays or Wednesdays. So what is the actual Sabbath on? And does it matter to God what day we do worship on? Bible verses would be helpful.
Genesis 2New King James Version (NKJV)
2 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. [SUP]2 [/SUP]And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. [SUP]3 [/SUP]Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
God blessed Saturday and sanctified it. The Jews always worshiped on Saturday and continue to.
The Vatican changed the day of Worship from Saturday to SUNday, with no scriptural or cultural reasoning or anything. They also inverted the sign of the cross with no reasoning. They placed Easter on a day symbolic to and honoring the physical sun, as well as Christmas. Some say this was done because of Pagan tradition of sun worship, some say the vatican and catholic church are secret devil/sun worshipers and did this as tribute.
So Christians today believe the Sabbath is on Sunday because the corrupted Catholic Church changed it to Sunday, and the Jews worship on Saturday because they denied the Messiah and continue on with all the old traditions including some that are true or still relevant.
So since God sanctified Saturday, we should hold our Sabbath on Saturday. Although our society or at least my mind treats Sunday as the last day of the week, so maybe this counteracts things and Sunday becomes grey area Sabbath because of circumstances. Depends on whether it's the Seventh Day of the week that has special properties, or the day in our minds devoted to worship, or both.
