But the Spirit was manifested in the flesh, I always tend to think Oneness pentecostals understand what the incarnation is. So Jesus in the flesh, was praying to Jesus in the Spirit, Jesus was .. Praying to Himself?

I don't believe in 3 gods and I wasn't raised a christian. But enough about me..

By "mainstream".. I mean things like the Nicene creed, if you've ever heard of it...oh yeah.. and all the mainstream bible scholars and theologians who have decades and centuaries more knowledge and experience than you can gain in your lifetime. ..even the Baptists won't be agreeing with you on these topics. I don't often make stuff up out of nowhere... I'm usually just quoting what I've read in books and material written by more knowledgable men than I.. or you.

I am guessing logic is not a strong point in this conversation. Let me just break that down one more time. The Word which was with God and was God manifested into the flesh, and the Word (Jesus) was praying to Jesus (Spirit) :confused:

Then you really shouldn't call yourself a Christian. I don't consider JW's Christian for similar reasons, I'd be a hypocrite not to extend the same courtesy to you. Half the things you write are positively unfactual and incorrect. Someone in your position shouldn't be so dogmatic towards others.

The Father sent the Son.. the Father did not send Himself. That's the basics of the Gospel.

1Jn 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son tobe the Savior of the world.

I don't think that analogy works because I don't pray to myself or have multiple personalities. Why is it that Jesus always gave glory to this mysterious "Father" that you believe is Jesus. For all of His miracles and works He said He did not do anything on His own authority but by the authority of the Father. If Jesus (who is the Word and the Spirit according to you), did these things on His own authority like you're claiming then you would be calling Him a liar.

No, lets try that with help from the Holy Spirit.

There was no method by which a man could pray to God directly before Jesus as man the mediator prayed to God the Father, this sets the method by which it would be possible under the New Covenant for this to be done, now we as Christians can pray to God and at least have a hearing anytime, anywhere, could not do this before, why? Because God has to do it first, because He is before all things", He sets all things in motion, He creates all methods, He sets all templates by which the Creation can follow. The fact that God as a man prayed to God in Heaven allows man to do the same today, because He does it first.

"Foreasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil" Hebrews 2:14

"Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be merciful and faithful High Preist in thing pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that He himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted." Hebrews 2:17-18.

Jesus prays for the reconcilation, why? Because He is High Preist and it behoved Him to take on flesh and blood so He could provide the means by which ye are saved, He needs to perform the prceedure first, Because He is before us, He opens the reconcilation by His prayer for it is His will, and He creates by His Word, when He speaks then it is done according to Him who all things belong to.

How do you reconcile the Sh'ma ?

Hear Israel the Lord our God the Lord is one.
Sh'ma Ysrael Adonai Elohyinu Adonai echad.

So God is ECHAD... Right? God told the Israelites to quote this every single day that God is ECHAD, because God would be revealing another Person who is the ETERNAL Son of God.

So after we understand God is "echad" let's discover the Hebrew text and define the word.

Genesis 2:24
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

They shall become "ECHAD", yeah it's the same Hebrew word.. Remember the Sh'ma ? God is ECHAD, right here we have an example of two PERSONS as ONE (echad) a man and woman who are obviously two distinct persons but yet God says they are ECHAD like HE is ECHAD....

Can we confirm this elsewhere?

Genesis 1:26
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Wow... Let US make man in OUR image, according to OUR likeness.. God who is echad... Creating man n His image or sorry.. The text says "OUR" image, and Genesis 2:24 says a man and woman become echad, they become one.. They are made in the image of God..

Does Jesus confirm this at all? Yes.. Of course..

John 17
9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.
10 And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them.
11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.

How can Jesus make it anymore clear? Let them be ONE as we are... Jesus is God, the Father is God because God is ECHAD.. They are not two separate God's they are two separate Persons.. Jesus says let them be ONE, as we are.. Obviously the Church - the body of Messiah is ONE, but we are not all the same person we are many members but ONE body.
