When you are baptised in the Holy Spirit, it is not always the case that you must speak in tongues as proof that you have been baptised in the Spirit, that is unbiblical.
Are all Apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have the gift of healing? Do all speak in tongues? 1Cor12:29&30
In England there is Assemblies of God (AOG) Pentecostal and Elim Pentecostal.
AOG say when you are baptised in the Holy Spirit you must speak in tongues as evidence of this, Elim say you do not have to, Biiblically Elim is correct. I believe great damage is done to say we must speak in tongues as a sign we have been baptised in the Spirit.
I am truly glad you have turned back to God Joint Heir. I can empathise with what you have said about yourself. Thirty years ago I was very close to God and he wanted my whole life. Like you I went away for a long time from Him. It is only in the last year or so I have come back to Him.
Without going into detail here, there are pitfalls I have found when we try and pick up from where we left off with God before we turned away. We need to grow again, the world leaves its mark on us.

Well ok, but I'd appreciate it if you managed to speak in the Holy Spirit in such a way that I could actually read what you're saying.
Good English dictates that you should only press enter between paragraph breaks. Which you should have. But please not in the middle of sentances? Even an outline completes the thought before starting a new line. I don't mean to be rude or contentious, but I do find this style of writing extremely distracting and quite off-putting. It's very difficult to read, which tends to lead to me skipping over your posts. Obviously that's not desirable for anyone.

Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Two things from this verse: a) even though Jesus is in heaven, the Father is still present as well. In other words.. Jesus is not the Father...and Jesus speaks to the Father, even in heaven. Of course the Oneness believer would claim something like that this is Jesus's flesh talking to his spirit, which is nonsense. The Oneness believer thinks that Jesus became the Father when Jesus reached heaven, this is also disproven by these verses.
point b).. "his angels" -i.e. the Father's angels. Jesus does not own any angels, they belong to the Father. He did not say "my angels". Further proof that Jesus and the Father are two separate persons.

The reason why I chose Revelation..is because it describes Jesus's relationship with the Father in heaven. Something you cannot argue against.. with your "Jesus on earth" verus in heaven theories.
That's true, because the Father exalted the name of Jesus... not because Jesus is the Father, or Jesus exalted Himself...
Philippians 2:9-10 (King James Version)
9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
If Jesus is God..then how come it says God exalted Jesus?
Did Jesus exalt Himself? did Jesus give himself a name above every other name? No.. the name Jesus was chosen by God the Father and delivered to Mary via the angel.
But let me rephrase verse 9 in the way you would read it:

I TOTALLY AGREE. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE CHURCH I WAS RAISED IN AND THE PASTORS WOULD SAY IT IS A MYSTERY THAT WE SOMEDAY WOULD UNDERSTAND. I NEVER SAW IT AS A MYSTERY. FOR ME I UNDERSTOOD THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD IN THREE MANIFESTATIONS.
