Are you God's son? If you were God's son, wouldn't you have power and authority over the evil in this world? If demons were harassing you, would you not be able to rebuke them?
Yes, all this authority is given to the children of God.
If you believed in healing and power over darkness, do you believe they are some special elite commando Christians? Or just Christians who have been given the gift? Trust God's Word, and His love towards us.
I recall seeing someone a few days ago saying that Christians weren't doing miracles like growing limbs or something, I believe this is simply a lack of faith. I don't condone people mutilating themselves to prove they can do something, just like I don't condone snake juggling or drinking poison, or petrol.
When you claimed that we had no power, it's false. Though you are correct in that power can only come from God, we have been given authority over the darkness in this world. All of the apostles did miracles, not just Paul.
The next time you have illness or pain, I urge you to know that you can remove it completely. Command it to be gone in Lord Jesus' name. Do it boldly and without doubting and then be amazed at what you did.
You have the power and authority to do this. Sometimes there are cases where you need to fast and pray, but I'm sure God uses these occasions to teach us.

It would be amazing if you healed sickness now like "Wow this is amazing I didn't know I could do this". I hope any Christian reading this can realize it too. All demons and unclean spirits must leave if you command them to in Lord Jesus' name. If you hesitate or doubt, they do their best to stick around and exploit the weakness of faith. 100% certainty is key. They will try to cause you to doubt yourself.
If you needed to, you can search for "heal" in the bible and meditate on those passages.

To have the power as you have mentioned , won't you think would present a conflict of intrest? Gods will verses mine? I would never want anyone to be sick or hurt or over come by demons as Iam sure you wouldnt but then theres the Lord will to be done.
Our power is in prayer and knowing the one that can deliver. Would you say we are higher than the angles in our present state?
We are called saints, vessles, which God chooses to use for his good pleasure.
When you get coffee or any beverage dont you choose a container that is empty? Then you fill it with what you would like to have , and when its empty if more is desired you refill. Now do you drink the same thing over and over again?
Where the Lord leds the Lord provides. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Hard to imagine but God has choosen the foolish things to confound the wise. He allows sickness, Poverty, yes and even posession for his will to be done.
Case in point remember the apostles asking Jesus about the blind man and what sin did he or his parents commit to be blind from birth?
Jesus said that no sin was the fault but his blindness was choosen to be so untill now as a witness of Gods power and jesus healed him.
We are in Christ and Christ in us, the Holy Spirit is in us . Even Jesus said I do the will of the father.

No the power in us is not of us. If it was we would simply not die. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven. Men are still dying. (one per birth) Not one new creature has received their new incorruptible body.

I take this literally. Even though it's difficult, I still believe it. Even if it's a personal rapture to be taken to paradise, or a translation to God's kingdom. Death has killed almost everybody, yet I believe if a person abides in God, they won't die. Everything God says is true.
Irrelevant, he originally said we had no power. We do, God gave us power and authority over evil and sickness. The apostles embraced it and went out in to the world healing sick and casting out evil. Once he attempts this and succeeds, he will also know it and preach it.
You have authority over sickness and evil. Why not ask God to show you?
I can't heal myself? Lol when I first read the gospel I cried my eyes out because I knew it was true. One of the first things I did after reading the gospel was to cure my acute arthritis in my ankle. My atheist friends didn't believe me, and we are no longer friends. That was before I even got baptized. Since that I've healed colds and even my eyesight.
Why wouldn't God give you authority and power over these things? Are you not entitled to these things?
