Gen 3:24 “So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”
Today, in the risen Son, risen by Father of Son, the tree, we are how in. the rise Son given one, a neon by Father are freed to eat from, once born again as new by God for us each. The dinner table is set. bThank you Father and Son as Won (One) for us all in your resurrection.
Yet, I have been given a four foot fork to eat from. How can I feed me? I can't, others at the wedding table can and do as called with their four foot forks. Thank you Father and Son
That is God's dinner table for us, the ones that are won by God's gift given them, these attend and stand in trust to Father, Son, are given the Holy Spirit in Genesis 1 to share as led in care also.

Evil's Table has short forks, and these do not share, only pretend to share for a return. I was given help here on earth financially. I am elated over this. This was a gift from that person and I loved it deeply. Then one day, that person came to me and asked for a favor. I replied I was not available. I got told and reminded, how that person helped me, and how could I refuse! Arrogantly from that person.
What that tells me and told me is: That person did not share, what they had willingly to me. No! they did it for a reason to own me, whenever they called upon me to return the gift by doing whatever they asked.
They did not give anything to me freely. Now I am and have been guilty in past of the same.
So I repented to God directly in prayer over it, closed my door and had a conversation over it.
God provided me the money to return to that person and then some. I did that, God made me free and clear, thanking God and now seeing more clearly than ever and still not accusing or excusing anyone
Free choice given to choose Good (God) or Evil (that age old Serpent) known as the Devil
I choose Father, Daddy, PaPa, Jesus the risen, being given Father the Holy Spirit and my Pastor, leader, care giver, and guide to all truth invert mistake I have ever made and might name over again. Putting past behind me as fast as it is past in a Heart-beat

It was our immaterial, invisible souls that were created in God's image.
Later, came the bodies for those souls to inhabit.

The human soul was created in God's image.
Pondering over wha tis said here, and thank you as Daddy, PaPsa, Father leads not me or anyone else
I see to be led by God in God's Spirit and Truth in my Soul that God saves, not my fallen flesh thanks

Genesis 1:27

So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

When God created man in His image?
Creating them male and female?
The Hebrew is a different word than what we find in Genesis 2 concerning the human body.
Two different things totally.

What was *created* in man's image was presenting the Hebrew word, 'Bara.'
Bara means to create something out from nothing.
Only God can create something out from nothing.

When it came to lifeless body for Adam's soul?
The Hebrew word was Jatsar. (Yatsar)
Meaning to take something (that had already been created, and molding and forming it into something.

What was created in God's image, when He created it, had yet no physical body.
That creation of the soul was the invisible, immaterial souls of man and woman.

Genesis 2 is not about a second creation of man.
Knowing the Hebrew puts that way of thinking on the cutting room floor.

grace and peace .........

Why he created people. Notice the smikey on my post? It was a joke but in reality ive seen a lot of discord here.
It can be expected in a public forum with a diversity of Christians.

But, not to be expected in a well led Church.

FAQ: How is the sacrifice of a man superior to the sacrifice of an animal?

REPLY: Human life was created in the image and likeness of God. No other
form of life came into existence with that distinction, viz: all other forms of
life were meant to be expendable, whereas human life was meant to be
sacred.

So then, a better question than the OP's might be: Why did God create
humans in the image and likeness of God?

Well; the thing is: Jesus was designated, and scheduled, for the cross before
the cosmos came into existence. (Mic 5:2, 1Pet 1:18-20 & Rev 13:8) Had he
been on track to come into the world with the image and likeness of an
animal, then the cross wouldn't had near enough value for God's purpose.

Animal sacrifices in the Temple for Atonement were teaching tools about the reality to come.
So, when the Cross came, men could be ready to be taught to learn what took place!
yes ... all aspects of worship under Old Covenant point to the Lord Jesus Christ ... the tabernacle ... the priesthood ... the offerings and sacrifices ... the Holy of Holies ... the mercyseat ... much much more ... even down to the garment of the high priest ...

There is a free booklet available online.
The Angelic Conflict rages around us.

It is also good to hear it being taught one piece at a time.
It's like learning algebra after you had just mastered simple math.

It is a must for anyone who wants to have inner peace, by understanding why we see so much conflict in the world around us.
gonna check out the link ...

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Yes.

And It seems that the trend for many is that we are just animals. God chooses and denies, at His leisure , the animals He created.

Okay, seeing through this, thank you for sharing. What I am seeing here, God breathed into Adan and Adam became a living Soul. Man became flesh, God breathed into Adam and he became a living Soul, with flesh attached. Then Adam ate in unbelief and lost the Spirit of God guiding him as the living Soul he was made to be. Which the enemy, Evil deceived Adam and Eve. Then death came to all flesh. All flesh strived and wanted life and could not achieve it, No one perfect. Yet wanted to not die, and so Law got put in place in how to be perfect, yet no one could do it perfect
But Son first. Then all sin has now been condemned to the flesh since the done work of Son first Romans 8:1-3 says this to me
Thanks for the share in care Brother. Still Learning new as led to know, as needed to know, Gd knows and wow daily
