I believe your right. That would be the only way one could dance in jeans so tight. Also sliding would be another good alternative.

But Wikipedia and Google are okay
Exactly, the collective wisdom of the millions of internet users should give reliable results .

Because they're stupid. There's really no other way to put it.

The Bible says, "Strong drink is not for princes" We are princes of the King Jesus!

Many famous missionary and Christians have advocated the banning of all alcohol based on strong conviction that recreational alcholic is harmful

It is MEDICAL DRUG and prescribed by such as Paul for Timothy sickness and for dying in battle.

We as Christians are Priests! A HOLY priesthood!

In the book of the Law of the Priests (Leviticus) we read:

Leviticus 10:9
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, [Church] lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:

Judges 13:4
Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:

Let us too separate ourselves from any ungodly influences so that we may found "blameless" when Christ returns.

Jesus whom we should emulate, took a special vow because he was a Nazarite:

Numbers 6:2-4 (King James Version)

2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the LORD:
3He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.
4All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk.

Ok I can understand the drinking, but drinking is only a sin if you get drunk. But then I understand why they may not want to partake of it at all. But what's so bad about dancing? And why do Baptists believe its a sin?
Because Catholics like to do it, and anything we like to do must be wrong.
:p

*humor alert!*

I know and am persuaded by the Lord jesus Christ that no THING is unclean of itself.

The first legalist in history was Eve in the garden.

The Puritans definitely weren't the first society to place a great deal of emphasis on education, but I'm pretty sure they were the first to really experiment with formal public education that was required of all children. It's my understanding that the Puritans and Congregationalists pioneered the concept, and then the Prussian Empire independently crafted a decentralized form of public education that isn't too dissimilar from what we have today.
The reformers, once they had the scriptures in their own native tongues, believed that all should be able to read the Bible. Therefore all needed to be able to read.
The Scots were in the vangard of this movement. The church began public education and the government eventually took over by promissing free education on Christian principles.

The cross is an important and potent symbol. It represents out vertical ralationship with our creator and our horizontal relationshiips. It also indicates their relative importance.

It's not just baptist who made a rule about dancing and drinking. Other churches do it too. I don't let people put rules on me. I see what the bible says. Problem is I don't think there is a church that man hasn't put in their own 2 cents. Pray for God to be the head not man.

CIR sorry dude but you have taken the verses way out of content and also misunderstood who Jesus was or aleast who took the vow of a nazarite, first of all both scripture reference was old testament law. we are under grace not law. romans 6. also if you want to live under the law if you break one you have broken them all.

Note here please that they are told not to drink wine or srtong drink, WHEN they go into the tabernacle ( church )..

Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:

this was spoken to the mother of Samson, while she was carrying Samson in her womb, which brings us to your misunderstanding, God put samson under the vow of the Nazarite, Jesus was a nazarene, which simply means He was from Nazareth, Not a Nazarite.

Mt 2:23And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a NAZARENE.

Jesus whom we should emulate, took a special vow because he was a Nazarite:

however if you could show me where the Bible says that Jesus took the vow of a Nazarite , I will stand corrected
