Thanks for coming out in the open as being against proper contextual interpretation in favor of tradition.
You misunderstand----------
Your Calvinist view is contrary to Scripture.
Salvation is offered to all, not just the chosen.

Basically it is Biblical doctrine or "the doctrines of grace".

T = Total Depravity
U = Unconditional Election
L = Limited Atonement
I = Irresistible Grace
P = Perseverance of the saints.
There, I fixed that for you.

Why is ti called Calvinist then, honestly that is something that always threw me off about Lutheran, Calvinist, etc...
Both Calvinism and Lutheran were names that opponents the two men’s theological beliefs concerning scripture.
Note neither guy had a original bone in their bodies both used scripture and referenced early church fathers in their
publications.
My opinion the Lord used men like these two to bring us out of the RCC at ione of its highest times of heresy

Not hardly----------

Your Calvinist view is contrary to Scripture.
What is really happening is you're the Romans 9:20 man who holds disdain for God's Sovereignty in electing mercy and Grace.

Salvation is offered to all, not just the chosen.
Salvation is only for those whom God elected. It has never been offered to every single person who has ever lived. You don't know Scripture or what you're talking about.

Now, instead of your ad hominem of ignorance, address the trailers, and refute the points. With Scripture.

The context is the elect of whom God waits patiently for their repentance and fulfillment in time which is the point of the context. But you don't like contextual interpretation over your tradition. The "usward" refers to the elect, and to them only, as none other will be saved, note also 2 Timothy 2:8-10.

You don't like God electing whom He wills. Right?

John 3:16
"The world" doesn't mean each and every person who has ever lived. It means those other than Jews as well, something striking to a Jew, who penned this, which would, shockingly to them, include Gentiles thus, "the world."

But again, you don't like contextual interpretations going against your tradition, right?

You place importance on contextual interpretation, I place importance on what the Scripture states in context.
I do not interpret Scripture to prove my belief, I believe what Scriptures states in context.
I believe that Scripture states that salvation is offered to all, not a select few, thus, those not selected have no hope to escape Hell.
Not an attack on you, but, we disagree.
I believe your are wrong---That is your right.

That was the intent.

You mean you don't claim Romans 8:28-39 for yourself?????
Thanks brother, now stick to the intent, like you tell other people to do in other threads.

I am. Now answer my question since you've gone contrary to my intent and now want to return to that intent all of a sudden.

Do you claim Romans 8:28-39 for yourself, or not?

what a treat!

Calvinist is a film about a generation that rediscovered an ancient Big-God theology. Join teachers like R.C. Spoul, Paul Washer, and Shai Linne in a Biblical journey to uncover the truth about who God is and who we are.

apparently they are still looking

in the meantime though, you can order T shirts like the one below

and dog if I didn't go and stick in another horizontal sidebar again...2nd one tonight

or is this one called a bottom bar?

wait...wait...the horizontal bar disappeared when I posted

it's all good

anyway, you will be glad to know they are going to make a heap off this one, no doubt to finance the expedition to uncover the truth etc

well, you know
