Why is the church so accepting of divorce and remarriage?

You've said many time here you wish you were married so you could have sex. What woman doesn't want to hear that? And you obsess about it constantly on here. I think I'm beginning to see the problem.
I have seen couples who were warned by the church not to get married, but did anyway. The marriages failed. I have talked to people whose marriages ended in failure and asked them, "Didn't you know this about the person?" I've heard them say, GOD told them not to and they blew past the stop signs. When I have said I don't care, this is who I am choosing, GOD blocks the way. Thing happen out of my control and it all ends. I get blocked while others are allowed to go on.

I get really annoyed at Christians who tell singles, even thinking about sex is a sin, YET, they have no problem with people getting married 2,3,4,5 times. Divorce and remarriage seems to be acceptable, but a single person even thinking about sex is a sin. Which is worse?
Sounds a bit like politics in the church.

The "church" as described in scripture is the body of believers, not a man made organization that burdens people with laws and rules.

Divorce and remarriage is not as widely accepted as the OP claims. In some churches it is definitely verboten. Nor is the Singles (college &career) So accepting with lack or lapses of purity.

It's not ok to flaunt sin...

And when you make these things public...you might be asked to leave.

Just saying that I've seen it happen...and not just once.

You have to go back to some "churches" to get back under the Law that Christ came to free us from.(y):):coffee:

Do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together.
Coming together as the body is a directive given in the new testament. Finding a body that gathers together in The Word and the Sacraments is important.

I have done both, looked for years and not looked for years, Both ended with the same results...nothing.
I dont believe that one bit.
Good, high quality, high value women have a keen sense about men, its how they maintain their decency and self respect. If you ever give one a bad signal they will be done.

Do you believe everything you read?
I agree totally. Driscol is a terrible teacher, and why would we trust pagans who rejected and still do reject Christ. (Which is also why I dont believe that the 1948 establishment of the nation state of israel is any fulfillment of the prophecy in Dueteronomy. Because it is written that they will return to God's words before He will re-establish them; a thing which they have not done in any stretch of the word. They have not accepted Christ nor have they returned to Torah.)
Scripture interprets scripture.

hmm,, Years ago I was doing work for three brothers who were from Pakistan and a similar subject came up about about how God would see this. The discussion went sort of like this in that first they would bring their wife to the store and show them around and then a few weeks later they would bring their niece who lived with them also. After a few more weeks they brought one of their cousins and showed her the store. In Muslim culture a man isn't suppose to look directly at them but just say hello when introduced and then go back to work(to them it's rude if you do). It doesn't take long to realize that they were all actually their wives but when moving from a nation where they have more than one wife to one where it's only legal to have one(US) would present a challenge. Anyway when the subject came up over "getting married 2,3,4,5 times" as in the OP the answer I got was "what do you mean, in the US both the men and women date for years before getting married,,, why do you all share your spouses with each other?"...

Scripture interprets scripture.

Not only has the State of Israel rejected Jesus Christ, it is one of the most secular/agnostic/atheistic countries in the world today.

Agree with all you stated.

Especially agree with this, it is not the fulfillment.

sin is sin. There are many reasons why one has divorced. number 1 is unforgiveness 2. they did not have support from family in the marriage 3. no biblical counseling before marriage.

Yes, divorce can happen even if one does all that yet the church would not have 70% of divorces if they did this constantly. in addition, there is an all-out war on the family God intended it to be. The church has failed, and the government has a program that rewards being not married. Although divorce has gone down as of I think last two years those who made it through COVID-19 that were married and did not kill each other stayed married LOL.

When two Christians pray He is there. There is tremendous power in two people praying, thus the adversary will will attack the marriage, and in these last of the last days we are seeing this increasing.

I have done both, looked for years and not looked for years, Both ended with the same results...nothing.
I know how it is to be and feel alone, I am devorced and have been living alone for more than 20 years.
I know about temptations and falls, but also the teachings of the grace (Titus 2;11-14)

As the world is in theese times, it is easier to be a disciple and fellower of the Lord Jesus Messiah the Son of God when living alone than having wife and children to worry about.
I know what I am talking about.
See life alone as a privilege, even if it can also be a suffering, remember the word about taking up your cross daily.

Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. - 1 Corinthians 7:27 biblegatewayKJV

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. - 1 John 4:9-10 biblegatewayKJV

I once heard a speaker say, "The happiest single people are those who have been married" I can agree, they know both sides of the issue. Too bad GOD couldn't give the first marriage a pass. LOL
