On matters such as these I find its best to let the scriptures speak and to leave folks alone.
After all, How long is long?
Let God guide thier conscience.
If i am asked, i say "i think" or " its my opinion" long hair is best on women. I point to the scripture and drop the subject. Let the Spirit be their guide.
Now keeping in mind that "long" is subjective. How long is long? So its not really possible to be a judge in the matter. Only God knows. He knows their heart. He will convict those in sin, and He will cause them to repent. If they are not in sin God is pleased with them. I cant tell by looking at their hair style.

We are taught never to judge by appearances but with right judgment. I believe this covers all better than a hairy head...

I don't think it's a trivial matter as we have a whole chapter of the Bible. My wife has long hair. Now I think she does it for God not me but it's still nice. Do you believe Paul was teaching submission to the husband as the husband submits to God. Is the husbands submissiveness to God required for a woman to keep her part.

Many readers assume that the chapter divisions are original to Paul's writing; they aren't, but rather were added in the 16th century, in the published editions of Robert Estienne (aka Stephanus). While the divisions (and verse numbers) are not arbitrary, they also not to be given the same weight as the text itself. If you read the latter part of chapter 10 you will see that verse 1 of chapter 11 fits better with the preceding verses than with those following.

No, it doesn't. While we can conclude that from other things Paul writes, we can't get it from this verse. It is an imperative statement directed to the Corinthians, not a statement about Paul's writings.

yes it does 2nd timothy 3:16 -17

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [c]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work .....

so all scripture is inspired by God ...and is profitable for doctrine, the doctrine of the churches of God everywhere in the apostolic times was men dont cover their heads while the pray or prophesy and women cover their heads when they prophesy or pray....for reproof and correction....paul says judge it yourselves is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him ... so the scripture is for reproof and this verse....for instructions in righteousness...its clar that this was a guide to righteousness....so all scripture is from God

But the fact remains even if the verse doesnt fit to that chapter...there is one thing, imitate me as I imitate christ...If paul said dont pray with a covering on your head if you are a man, do as I do because thats what he has been told by christ....It is not I who lives but christ who lives in me.....so the separation of that chapter doesnt negate the fact the its not insignificant to the topic of head coverings

Does 1 Corinthians 11 mean a woman should have long hair for her husband or God.
Long hair would be considered towards God. For God desires that a woman look like a woman.

Her hair is called her "glory":

1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

It is part of her beauty versus being bald. A custom that was in vogue, among the women of Corinth, that were not of the best social standing. So historians tell us. How long should a woman's hair be? Perhaps this is the Biblical answer:

John 11:2 And it was that Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.

Many churches have moved away from the idea that women should have long hair and indeed, some women cannot have their hair long because it causes them issues, (neck pain and headaches). However, women should not cut their hair, in such a way, that it looks boyish.

Additionally, while we are on the subject of hair and coverings - many modern churches have moved away from women veiling their hair while in the assembly meetings. It should be noted, that in this text, a woman should have her hair veiled because it is her glory. So too, to show all, that she is willingly in subjection to her husband; thus, as her husband follows his head, Jesus Christ, she follows him. The Greek word translated "covering", (peribolaion), in 1 Cor. 11:15, speaks to a "natural covering", that covers the head. The Greek word translated: "veiled" or "covered", (katakaluptō), in 1 Cor. 11:6, carries the meaning of: "something that is placed over something".

it’s a natural head covering according to Paul because she was deceived and listened to the serpent rather than god

women don’t need to wear a head covering made of cloth by men God provided her a head covering already

Paul makes the point this isn’t a steadfast “rule “ but it’s something that is not significant enough so that each group should judge for themselves about hair length so as to not argue over meaningless things meankng that we can then agree on all the important things and come together

Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.

If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no rule —nor do the churches of God.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:13-16‬ ‭

In other words , it’s not going to save or condemn a woman to have short hair , but king hair was given to women by God for a natural head covering.we should t argue over little things but just agree on all the important things

I agree that it's not trivial.
There's no mention of husband/wife relationship in this passage; it's always man/woman. The glory of 'the' man is 'the' woman, and the glory of 'a' woman is her long hair.
Other passages (such as Eph. 5) deal with husband/wife relationships.

It is difficult to avoid interpreting Scripture. The key is to ensure your interpretation is supported by the text.

1Cor 11:15 . . But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her:

In other words; we're talking about individuality and independence. Those
things are not bad in and of themselves and certainly every woman has a
value of her own apart from men.

However; relative to their association with Christ, women really ought to
keep in mind the details of their origin, and resist the pagan influences of
militant feminism; for example:

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back and pretend
'Cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever going to keep me down again

You can bend but never break me
'Cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I'll come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
'Cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul

I am woman, watch me grow
See me standing toe-to-toe
As I spread my loving arms across the land
But I'm still an embryo
With a long, long way to go
Until I make my brother understand

Oh, I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong

I like my hair growing a natural length, longer than I see most men growing theirs, now. Longer hair is natural. But what is my own choice, and not yours, I don't push on any others, nor on you. A woman who wants shorter hair can choose that, for herself.

And in the song, about hair, it's 'spaghettied'.

There are cultural circumstances, not to be generalized on all others.

Men with long hair not only goes against nature, but it's a shame.

14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

1Cor 11:14 . . Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man

That which was the nature of things in the Roman world isn't the nature of
things everywhere. For example: long hair on men was, and still is,
appropriate among Native American folks.

This conversation is useless unless you can state exactly how long, long is.
