Lack of Knowledge
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Lack of Vision
Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
(see also: 2 Corinthians 4:4, and Ephesians 1:18)

Proverbs 13:12
Hope deferred (put off) makes the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

Being Carnal Minded
Romans 8:1-7

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Not Understanding the Lord's Body
1 Corinthians 11:28-30
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

Unbelief
Hebrews 4:2-11
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
For he spoke in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
Seeing therefore it remains that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Again, he limits a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
There remains therefore a rest to the people of God.
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Choosing to Reject Deliverance
Hebrews 11:35

...and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection

Some choose to not receive deliverance and go on to Heaven, even though deliverance has been made available to them through the anointing in God's Word.

However, this is not God's best as people that do this are willingly choosing to allow their lives to be cut short without regard to God's promise of long life spoken of in Psalms 91, among other places.

Our goal in staying here should be to impact as many lives as possible to not only make decisions for Christ to become born-again believers, but to learn and grow up to become overcomers in this life.

This is what "living" for God is all about. Dying is easy. The trick is to live an overcoming life and bring as many people as possible into the Kingdom of God because this pleases the Father as it's His desire for His house to be full.
WOW!!! none of those have any relevance whatsover to healing. Maybe 1 Corinthians but yikes you really do not know how to read a text in context do you???

OK, so you reject scriptures that promise healing... reckon God is a liar???

Romans 8:11
But IF the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you (allowed to live in us), He that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead shall also quicken (energize, make alive) your mortal body by His Spirit that lives in you. (see 2 Corinthians 3:17 – where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, freedom!)

1 Peter 2:24
Jesus carried our sins in his own body on the cross, so that we, being dead to sin, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.

Matthew 8:17

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Isaiah 53:4, 5
Jesus has carried our grief (pain, anxiety, calamity, disease, sickness), and carried our sorrows (anguish, affliction, feelings of pain, sadness and sorrow): yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted....but He was wounded (to wound, to break, be slain or killed) for our transgressions, He was bruised (crush, destroy, oppress, to collapse) for our iniquities: the punishment (violence, rebuke) of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. (He took our wounds, so we could take his wholeness & health in every area of life)

Proverbs 4:20-23
Attend to My words; incline your ear unto My sayings....let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart....for they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh....keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it flow the forces of life.

James 5:15
The prayer of faith shall save the sick (from being sick!)

Exodus 23:24-26

You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do their works: but you shall utterly overthrow them, and destroy their images.
And you shall serve Adonai your God, and He shall bless your food and drink; and I will take sickness away from the midst of you.
There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: and you will live out the full span of your lives.

If you wish to help those who are suffering, instead of asking what
to pray for, take what you know and use that as a basis for prayer.

For instance, right now I have shingles. Bragging to us about how you have never
been sick a day in the last twenty years does not help me or anyone else in the least.

Thank you :)

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Hang in there brutha bro man... if you keep studying the Word and believe God for HIS wisdom and to deliver you from the wisdom of this world... the Lord will get some revelation to you!

I know if I had sickness, I would be studying what people who know how to not get sick have to say and see what scriptures they are looking at.

If God can teach me how to overcome sickness / disease... He can teach anyone and it is a learning growing process.

Best way to learn nothing is to reject Gods promises concerning health.

Exodus out of context. Romans 8 is talking of a liveliness, and exuberence after all our mortal bodies were not dead in need of healing, but not alive in the sense of purpose, in this case and context to serve. Because in Romans 8:13 two verses later he describes a putting to death the deeds of your body which cant mean wounds and cuts and bruises but rather a tendency or even impulsion to commit bodily sins. 1 Peter and Isaiah 53 are talking of a spiritual healing in Christ from the wounds of sin. Notice past tense were healed in Christ not will be. It would be impossible to be physically healed if you had no need for it. But it suggests that we all needed healing. I never have needed physical healing so why would he say that i do need physical healing? Proverbs certainly speaks of healing but it is no relation to it being purchased on the cross and James 5 is legitimately a prayer request for healing upon not a demand that God must. Again not obligatory for God to do.

Well why not ? They heal millions of people dont they? They use the same argument you use dont they? They believe exactly point by point in terms of healing arguments you do and yet.... not legit.

Manifold wisdom. Seek it. There is more in the written word than you think.

Yes and no. He should be but some follow themselves or what they think is Him. When folks scoff at others, it's a huge indicator that they don't know Him as they should..
Well of course its real. but it would be more encouraging to say OUR teacher is the Lord. Right? Mine is the Lord is saying and yours is....?

Its simple hermaneutics, seek it lest you start taking scripture out of context and distorting it.

Well i largely agree with you here. :) but the truth and fact of the matter is simply my words have been taken out of context majorly so it would be appropriate to suggest that it is ignorant for someone to impose what i believe when ive clarified what ive believed over and over again. I do believe in healing ive said that a number of times and yet he says i dont. Whats that? Ignorance to what ive just said over and over again

Yes the question isnt if he reveals it to you which i agree with. The question is how? The answer is through his Word he reveals truth and as 2 timothy 3:15 says study to show yourself approve. right? So studying the Word in its context is very very important and the verses that got posted asides from James 5 were ripped straight from its context to say something (physical healing) the author himself had no intentions to say.
