[SUP]38 [/SUP]Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
[SUP]39 [/SUP]For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
all jewish at pentecost.( your children )

acts 15, what law was a gentile to repent of. (or were they asking, what law should we give them)
18 For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.Galatians 3

29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to promise.

27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.28

Galatians 6:7-9King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Acts of works and obedience do not merit the blessings provided by grace alone. They only demonstrate a life lived for God and His purposes.

bro if God concluded all under sin ...then all fall under ...
[SUP]37 [/SUP]Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

[SUP]38 [/SUP]Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

[SUP]40 [/SUP]And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

Romans 3:9
What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

Galatians 3:22
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

repentance is a change of mind evident by a change of action

Matthew 21:28-30King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]28 [/SUP]But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.

[SUP]30 [/SUP]And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.

Say I am a robber, every day I am thinking about how to rob this bank, I make a research, what time is a good time to do it, what day is the large amount of money in that bank, etc.

After encounter with Jesus I not doing it anymore, Now every day I am thinking about how to close to Him more and more, I am not worry about money anymore, now I work at Burger King instead of being professional robber. Though I earn little money but I am happy to be close to the Lord.

Am I repent?

he does not understand, We were baptized INTO CHRIST, not water,

he wants water to cleanse him, when it can never remove the filth of the flesh..

He thinks he can earn it, he does not see his sin,

and in acts 10 did peter use (you read )the word repent (peter speaking about 16 years later)

1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

There is no righteousness apart from God. He cannot declare anyone righteous or remit sin without faith in the work of Christ. Christ gives us His righteousness as a free gift. This fact eliminates any pride and exalts God only.

What I don't see talked about much on this thread is the person of the Holy Spirit, who Jesus baptizes us with in order to give us the incentive, power and love towards God in order to become a new person.

Every good thing I have done I credit to the Holy Spirit, who works in me and bears His fruit through me. And mostly because i keep my eyes on Christ, not being self centered (taking my own spiritual temperature all the time).

You really do become more like what you look at.

Because Jesus said to go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature..starting in Jerusalem....Peter was not asking anyone for nationality when he preached...but he included all.. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

so in your understanding from pentecost to Cornelius the gospel changed .....or there is one gospel for the Jews and one for the gentile ...where the gentile does not have to repent?....

Luke 24:46-48King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]46 [/SUP]And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
[SUP]47 [/SUP]And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

[SUP]48 [/SUP]And ye are witnesses of these things.

now my friend we are here to help one another not to confuse....why would you enter into this discourse with your false teaching out of context and out of the scope of what is being discussed...to make confusion...that cannot be of God...

yeah yeah, We are here to discuss.

But you do not want to. You want to spread your works and self, not God.

CC will have a record of who is spreading what...

and??

So when are you going to have faith in God, and stop trusting (having faith) in yourself and your works?

Even faith of a mustard seed can do such a great work of moving mountains,, So it does not take much faith to trust God to do work through you. Anything above a dead faith (which is no faith at all) and you can do mighty things, things greater than even jesus did.

Will you trust him?
