I think it is probable that John may have been saved in the womb.
I Agree, but then Jesus being Baptized by John would be more for example and following the Law.

+

we cannot forget.
John, asked God for a Sign.
after being Baptized, God, showed John WHO Jesus was.
Voice from Heaven and the Spirit coming down upon Jesus.

The verse says what says. It's not the only verse that relates to drinking alcohol. For example, Samson's mother was told not to drink alcohol during pregnancy. That implies that there was the possibility that she would. It also implies that there was otherwise nothing inherently wrong with alcohol.

Qualifications for eldership:
"not addicted to wine, not a bully nor quick-tempered and hot-headed, but gentle and considerate, free from the love of money [not greedy for wealth and its inherent power—financially ethical]. 1 Timothy 3:3, Amplified, also 1:7

It does not say that an elder must be teetotal. Doctrines I abide by? Jesus is the life of those who are born again. It's no longer I that lives but Christ who lives in me. I refuse to let anyone judge me by what I eat or drink or sabbath rules that no longer apply to me. The only way to overcome the flesh is to walk in the Spirit.

I do not live by doctrine. I live because Jesus rose from the dead. His cross is my cross. When Jesus died, so did I. When Jesus rose again, so did I. My weapon of choice is the Living Word of God, the Sword of the Spirit. The letter kills, the Spirit gives life. The Law is th shadow of realities that have now come. Some love the shadows. Me, I prefer to live in the light.

You would have to ask modes why the OP was banned. I have my understanding as to why, but its not my place to say so.

I
see, how you chosen to use the Amplified, rather than the Original Greek:

7
τακτα · δει γαρ τον
επιϲκοπον ανεγ
κλητον ειναι ωϲ
θυ οικονομον
μη αυθαδη
μη οργιλον
μη παροινον
μη πληκτην
μη αιϲχροκερδη

7 For the bishop must be blameless as the steward of God, not self-willed, not soon angry, not fond of wine, no striker, not eager after base gain,

the real question is, what does [[not fond of wine]] mean?

it means they don't like Wine, so, they Don't DRINK wine.

you don't drink something you are not fond of.

it's interesting.

the Original Greek says Jesus passed the Cup [did not sip] and that Bishops and Church Leaders should [not be fond of wine].

but the MODERN Versions 1600s till now, all say the opposite.

hmm

the OP has been banned

I know alcohol isnt good for you to drink a lot of, though there is that verse that says if you drink any deadly thing it wont harm you

Jesus was offered vinegar on the cross, I believe its fermented

Jury seems to be out on whether alcohol is good or evil, I think for most believers, its only ever good in small doses to kill something even worse.

I have had enough pain from alcoholics to last several lifetimes and dont want to see them suffer but unfortunately, the more you drink, the worse it gets.

why do People Red X a Verse from the Holy Word of God?

especially, a Verse, that comes from the oldest known Greek Text in existence?

are they telling God, to go get lost so they can do as they please, or believe, what they only want to pick and choose to believe?

Matt 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

Luke 7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

Luke 7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
i like how in the Original Greek, Verse 19 ends with:
And yet Wisdom is justified by her works.

then in Luke, Verse 35 follows Verse 34:
35 And yet wisdom is justified on the part of all her children.

so, what is the Wisdom by what Jesus is saying here?

what the People are saying about Him is Wrong?

i can sit at a bar and never drink.
but, i suppose people around looking, think i do.
to them, i must be someone who drinks.
but, what does WISDOM, say about it?

you don't drink something you are not fond of.
You're applying a particular nuance of "fond". "Not fond of" in this context does not mean "doesn't like" or even "doesn't much like" but rather, "doesn't like a lot of". The word is most commonly translated "addicted".

"Fond" usually means "like a lot". "Not fond", these days, is more commonly used euphemistically, as in, "I'm not fond of Brussels sprouts".

I couldn't find your particular wording on Bible Gateway, which leads me to question its validity at the outset. This shows why it's worthwhile to read several translations before attempting to interpret a key word.

If you're referring to the X's on post 304, it is not the Scripture with which people are disagreeing, but your interpretation thereof. Don't confuse the two. ;)

English Revised Version
For the bishop must be blameless, as God's steward; not selfwilled, not soon angry, no brawler, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre;

all NEWER Versions.

I'm sure you're aware there are very few English versions from prior to the 1600's.

these say: not given to wine: [to me this means they don't drink it]

Worrell New Testament
For the bishop must be blameless, as God's steward; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, not a striker, not greedy of base gain;

Worsley New Testament
For a bishop must be blameless as the steward of God, not self-willed, not passionate, not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of sordid gain:

Mace New Testament
for a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not morose, not soon angry, not given to wine, not violent, not desirous of unlawful gain.

Godbey New Testament
For it behooves the bishop to be blameless, as the steward of God; not audacious, not irascible, not given to wine, not a controvertist, not fond of filthy lucre;

You cannot prove from scripture that He did, so all you have is speculation and wishful thinking.
There is always a party pooper.

Without theological speculation and interpretations of the scripture, what do we do with all our time?
