False. He did drink it.

Joh 19:29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
Joh 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
BOOM!

I suspect it wasn't your intent to provide such a thorough shut-down, but you succeeded! :)

Jesus wasnt a Nazarene unlike John the Baptist - the Nazarenes did not drink any alcohol and had made a vow not to, I believe.
John "the Baptizer" was a Nazirite, not a Nazarene. See Numbers 6:1-21.

Yes, with meals. Wine back then was stronger than today.

The main difference between Roman and modern wines was likely their alcohol content, as both Greek and Roman wines likely had as high as 15% or 20% ABV, compared with 10-12% or so in most modern wines. Consumption of wine was often very different as well.

Genesis 9:21
One day Noah made some wine. He got drunk, went into his tent, and took off all his clothes.

Genesis 19:32
So let’s get our father drunk with wine. Then we can have sex with him. That way we can use our father to keep our family alive!”

Ephesians 5:18
Don’t be drunk with wine, which will ruin your life, but be filled with the Spirit.

just wondering here, how would grape skins and sugar, with no real type of yeast from barley, wheat, rice, grains [according to the LAW] would make wine stronger?

i can see this with Noah, he was not under the Law.

Wine made with Yeast from wheat, rice, grain, barley
wine is not just made from grapes, you can have rice wine, cider, gin, vodka, whiskey as fermented alcohoic drinks.

There is also beer. The Bible doesnt mention beer is wine, but it does refer to 'strong drink' possibly meaning alcoholic drinks. Confusing the issue is liquors and drinks known as spirits.

Because spirits DO affect people.

Fruit juice does not always need to be refrigerated, if kept in a properly sealed container, in a cool dark place it can keep.

People can be silly when it comes to alcohol, which is why there are restrictions, and signs saying dont serve alchol to minors, and why you cant drive under the influence or when you are intoxicated. People say drink 'responsibly' or know when to say when, but unfortunately for some the pressure to drink is strong. Some parents feed alcohol to their children to shut them up (gripe water for babies!) and then its no surprising been exposed to a taste of it, they become raging alcoholics and dependent on it later.

Does Jesus like it when you are drunk, ask yourself.

In the US, drinks are watered down, which is why they have those big red plastic cups. Humungous cups. Same goes for fizzy, but they have insane mounts of sugar in them, and people pick unripe fruit, and then have to add heaps of sugar to something that is tart and sour. Just to make it drinkable.

RTDs or ready to drinks are harmful esp to teens who cant handle it because their bodies are still growing, as well as their brains. You can get brain damage from drinking alcohol.

Jesus is/was most certainly NOT a Jew and that was very irreverent.

Nobody stays sober by drinking alcohol.

And nobody drinks alcohol to stay sober.

Jesus never touched it in His life.
I know he has left the building, but seriously?

The Bible says Jesus came to His own but they did not receive Him. Who were the people of God, chosen by God and in covenant with Him and who were promised the Messiah?

People need to lay off them black market Bibles. They seem to be corrupted and lead people astray. :cautious:

this is not worthy of a BAN, but, the Book of Esther [4th Century BC], is the first time the use of Jew, to refer to the inhabitants of Israel was given life.

14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and rescue will arise for the Jews from elsewhere, and you and your father's household will perish; and who knows whether at a time like this you will attain the kingdom?

So, in Jesus day, they would have definitely been called Jews.
much like Jesus, being called, King of the Jews.
I disagree :)

I don't see the connection.
20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened

no baking soda or yeast, that makes bread rise or wine ferment

they used grape skins and sugar as substitutes for yeast in Wine.
grapes have natural “ambient yeast” inside and on the skin
this is not the same as real yeast but acts similar.

Doesn't that just apply to Passover? That's what Exodus 12 is dealing with, right?

isn't this passage only referring to the time of the feast of Unleavened Bread?

So you are to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on this very day I brought your divisions out of the land of Egypt. You must keep this day as a permanent statute for the generations to come. In the first month you are to eat unleavened bread, from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day. For seven days there must be no leaven found in your houses. If anyone eats something leavened, that person, whether a foreigner or native of the land, must be cut off from the congregation of Israel. You are not to eat anything leavened; eat unleavened bread in all your homes.
(Exodus 12:17-20)

yeast is a living creature. it's found everywhere, on the outer skin of every fruit. an ancient way of making beer or wine was to simply make a mash and set it in a field for a few days -- the wind would blow yeast on it. it's not on the inside of fruit unless the skin is broken so that airborne yeast can find its way in. that's why you have to mash up the fruit when making wine.

honey may be used to feed the yeast, but it's not necessary. all we needed to do to make wine from our blueberries was literally smash them and wait, keeping them in a loosely covered container and stirring the mash daily to minimize the risk of mold growing in it. we progressed to adding some honey and experimented with how long we let it go before straining.

the yeast that's found on the skin of every fruit is no different than the yeast found anywhere else -- the yeast one buys in a store is just a cultivated strain of yeast, whereas what you find in nature may be hundreds of different strains. the advantage of using store-bought yeast is that by cultivating one or two strains is consistency; if one is making thousands of gallons of wine as a business, one can better predict flavor, strength and brewing times. what's found in nature isn't always evenly distributed.

what i am talking about is Kosher Wine:

“In order for a wine to be deemed kosher, it must be made under the supervision of a rabbi."
Wines require some sort of mold (yeast) for fermentation; kosher wine must be made from a mold that has not been grown on bread, for instance sugar or fruit.
