So what mate.....Jesus said to fear the one who can kill and then cast into hell.....the same one that kills can also raise the dead....and yep....he did command Joshua to kill everyone....and in so doing showed mercy....now ALL of the children that would have grown up in a false religion, lost and only to die and end up in hell are now in heaven having died under the age of accountability having been safe under the blood.....there is NO negative with GOD and everything has purpose....so....the OP is a moot point!

Are you trying to learn about why and who God is? Or are you trying to disprove God's Word?

Have you ever considered you have not tried to have a true relationship with our very real God. How can you ever understand a person in less you spend time, true time with God through his word,church, other believers, elders, and prayer. God does speak to everyone in different ways but usually through the Holy spirit and answering prayer. But if your eyes do not understand the spiritual side of life then you can easily miss God telling you He Loves You and all things will make since if you give it time. Trust me it's beautiful and amazing once you enter that true relationship.

Many kids have imaginary friends, but they grow out of it. When they don't it is seen as an unhealthy preoccupation, and it's encouraged for them to have real sensory based relationships.

Would they willingly follow God and think God was Justified to be the One and only God of all existence??

God wants to win people and the Angels over to the truth that God can be the only God and that He is not only a God of ultimate power but also a God of perfect Love and all Wisdom... The only thing God would have proven to the heavenly Host if He wiped out Adam and Eve and satan was that satan managed to sabotage Gods Creation beyond repair/ Redemption and that God would have been just a brutal dictator that they would only submit to out of fear of His power to destroy... Do you think a perfect God wants His creation to follow Him out of terror?

I'm enjoying your answers. Okay so let me ask you this. If there was no hell, would any of us really want to follow God? Because a lot of God's rules are annoying to follow and I'm sure if there was no punishment of hell a lot of us wouldn't be Christians right now. What I'm saying is, what's the point of having God in your life if your life was fine the way it was before it was ruined by your own sin? It seems like sin and the fear of being thrown in hell is the only reason I have anything to do with God.

This is textbook Atheism 101. Cognitive dissonance is the new terminology that atheists are trying to run with. They taught this gobblety-gook at my son's college. Thankfully he is fully grounded in Christ.

You owe it to yourself to give yourself 40 days. Ask Jesus to enter into your heart and pray God I do not fully understand but that's okay. I hear you died for my sins and I would like to grow closer to you. Help me understand your word and teachings that give extenal life.
Then the next 40 days find a church and get connected. Do small groups and attend every Sunday. Spend at least a hour or 30 min a day reading the Bible Genesis, Mark, acts, and Romans. Spend time in prayer everyday.
Most real people have asked your same questions I know I have but I did the research, study, prayed, and found elderly counseling from a preacher. Everything makes since and the impossible thing is to try and prove the Bible wrong. I guarantee you can't. Archeology, science, history, world accounts, eye witnesses, ancient scrolls, and just the concept that the Bible came to be 6000 years and fluently reads with one purpose in mind. To save all of mankind. Amazing! But you have to remember the Bible is a personal relationship book and not a history or science book even though it has plenty of it.

You've got the wrong idea. Mankind is already condemned. As soon as sin, being opposed to God's will, came about through rebellion it was then that we chose our own path. God doesn't have to kill anyone, we chose death. It is because we chose death that God has offered us life, through Jesus Christ.

Remember what John says of Jesus? He didn't come to condemn the world, but save it. Why didn't God come to condemn the world? They are already condemned, His ultimatum of choose Him or die, isn't one of oppression but of saving grace. You are either staying on the road of condemnation or you are on the narrow path to life that God offers through Jesus Christ.

God isn't a tyrant, He isn't evil. He is Love, itself. To top it all off, He loves you and all the world. He wishes that all be saved. However, thats not going to happen. Why? Not all believe. That is what God has required for salvation. Not good works, or being perfect in and of yourself through some concept of morality but simply by faith in Jesus Christ. Believing that He paid the penalty for your sin, death, and rose from the dead to justify you before God. You then after believing would be saved by grace through faith in the Son of God, who was slain for the sins of the world.

It was not the thought of God in the beginning when he said let us create man in our image after our likeness that they would die. In the beginning as they were created after the same likeness which is life without end is the first born of all creation (collossians 1:15-19).

Before the first man was created the first born of creation,the saviour was. And he being created first before those who would later come and have need of an saviour testifies that those who would later die were not an afterthought of God.

In the day ye eat thereof ye shall surly die then is not an empty statement seeing that all have died afterwards. Yet there is the one who was before these began to die who from the beginning was prepared to make man in the image of God.
