depressed. feel empty.

nothing but deadness inside me. stuck on empty. suffocating sterility. all is pointless and predictable. im rotting. i have no idea how i will ever make it out of the slump, or if i ever will crawl back out of this isolated airless hole. all is darkness and void. im dying and crying inside. I need Jesus. shatter the walls. resurrect my spirit. invigorate me with the Holy Spirit. im so broken. face down stagnant buried under darkness and void i am not living just festering. i need a miracle.

Be sure God is ever near, listening to you and your prayers. He is more then willing to give you His Holy Spirit, don't give up asking Him. He will do it because God is Love and He is faithful.

Luke 11:
9"I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you. 10For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. 11"Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won't give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? 12Or if he asks for an egg, he won't give him a scorpion, will he? 13If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"

Have Faith and move on. Forgetting those things that are behind and move forward to the high calling that is in Christ Jesus. The battle is of one and is one so in Faith when confronted with the woes of our minds and hearts we counter it with a get behind me Satan for it is finished. For we have entered into the Body of Christ through Baptism. The Life we now live in the Flesh we live by the Faith of the Son of GOD. We have entered into the joy of the LORD.

My friend, I am concenred about you. You can't keep living with such dark, hopeless thoughts and feeling like you have no life in you. Perhaps you would benefit from immediate crisis counseling. Please contact someone to talk with about what options are available for you.

My first blog entry that was written shortly after I joined this site is very similar to yours. I pray for God to remove the cloud of depression that is hovering over you and to open the walls of the prison on your mind that you are currently in.

my problem is far far away from not having a hobby. i have a passion. writing. i have other passions as well. there are plenty of things i enjoy doing. except depression sucks the soul out of u, as well as long term unemployment.
so i dont really enjoy anything right now.

and as for sports--- i detest them. I HATE SPORTS. i cannot play sports. as in-- i literally cannot play sports. i am dyspraxic. sports have done nothing but cause me a lot of humiliation and embarrassment-- p.e. classes did nothing but inflict a lot of damage on my self-esteem growing up. i recoil at the thought of sports. i have an extremely negative association with them to the point that i will never so much as throw a ball again. im serious. and yes-- you're right. chicks do dig athletes. and i'm not one and never will be. i'm a sensitive writer with few friends, an overactive imagination, intense passion, a problem with depression/mood disorders, a history of failure and total dissatisfaction in the way of relationships and careers and now im stuck at an impasse my life is a wreck im broke and have no flippin clue what to do... chicks don't like that kind of guy. and i dont like it either.

so while i appreciate your advice and know it is well-intentioned-- seeking a hobby or trying to be something i can literally physically never be in order to be attractive- these just aren't solutions for me.

hi auntie ant, i appreciate your genuine concern for me... i am in a dark place-- and the crucial issue is because of my employment situation since quitting the teaching career about a year ago and trying to navigate forward-- finding an alternative career. finding my place n this world. im n a bleak place. broke. stuck. parents dont know what to make of me anymore. few people know me. i just dont know what direction to go in. i just feel lost. alone. desperate.

Yes, I understand, Daniel and that's a terrible dilemma to be in. The thing is, most people go thru such a dark place so you definitely ain't alone in your struggle. Ya know what else, dear? You're young. You're so very young and have life ahead of you.

If I was your mom, I'd want you to talk to me. Have you tried discussing with your parents that you feel in despair about your situation? Perhaps they can help steer you in a new direction. I know they don't mind you being with them.

Don't let pride or even humility stand in your way of peace of mind. Let it all go to God and start making strides to change your thoughts. I'm telling you, negative talk makes your burdens like a living hell. Thoughts of light give you energy and joy and strength.

I'm not telling you not to express your dark moods. I write poetry when I'm down, too. I'm saying don't let all your talk be dark. Because you'll lose more & more strength. Give your heart & mind a break sometimes and let God's light flow thru you and lift you back up, young man of God.

You can always try to open your heart out more. Try to put all the things you like to do together and make it fun for you also add some spice. Even if your not working no more , find other ways to make it fun with the friends that you are closest to the most. Don't let your surroundings get the best of you. You can overcome darkness ..you can break free from the chains of darkness. You do not have to suffocate in despair any longer. Your life is worth more and your soul is more valuable to God. He truly does love you. Always pray even if your going through the toughests of time.
