A word to the Watchmen
The New Testament is our Marriage Covenant, it established this covenant 1Cor 11:25 The Purchase Price 1Cor 6:19-20 is part of this marriage covenant. The Bride being set apart Eph 5:25-27 is also part of this marriage covenant. Bridegroom is currently in the Father’s house, that also is something we are told in this marriage covenant. He will have an escort to accompany Him upon His return to gather His bride, again something we are told in our marriage covenant. This is the rapture. The wedding feast and being told to keep the Lord's table as a dress rehearsal for the wedding is also in our marriage covenant, the New Testament.
Yes, our marriage covenant also tells us that the covenant that God made with the Jews is relevant to us in types and shadows. We are told that the holy days are a shadow of things to come. That is all true, but there is no basis at all to say that any of the seven feast days are a shadow of the rapture of the church. The church is composed of Gentiles, all seven of those feast days will be fulfilled with the Jews according to their covenant.
My point is that too many of the watchmen are fixated on the feast days in the Old Testament. Those days are all referring to days and hours that all the Jews knew and yet Jesus said in Luke that the rapture would be a day and hour that you don't know. Yes, there are many types of a gentile bride in the Old Testament and lots of figurative language concerning the rapture and some prophecies. So although every word of the Bible is God breathed and is profitable my point is that the covenant with the Gentile bride is the New Testament. This is what we should be focused on.
We know there is a vail on the hearts of the Jewish people and that during the tribulation it will be taken away and that the rapture of the church will go a long way to cause the Jewish people to repent.
We know that at the rapture we will be changed in the twinkling of an eye, in an instant, into the same image, from glory to glory. We have spent two thousand years beholding the crucified and resurrected Christ and then at the rapture we will reflect that glory like a mirror.
Over the last few years we have seen a marvelous exposition of the feast days and all the significant days in the relationship between the Jews and God. It would not be right that the Gentile bride robs the Jews of those days, so instead we get the mirror image of those days.
Jesus is the incarnated word of God, everything we have seen is what He is, it is His family history. We behold and reflect Him.
