Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Are you a spectator or a participant in the kingdom. If you are on the outside with your telescope and microscope and all your tools to observe when the kingdom of God shall come you will have nothing to do with it. Paul told us "it is no longer I that live but Christ that lives within me". He also said "Christ in you, the hope of glory".
22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
God is doing a hidden work. At the end of the age He unveils His masterpiece, His "poiema". That is the unveiling of the church at the time of the rapture.
23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
If you understand that, you will then focus in on having communion in your spirit with the Lord Jesus. Then you will realize the world is filled with flim flam men trying to deceive and lead astray.
24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
Flim flam false prophets try to lead people to think they have to go out to Waco Texas or some other remote place to get the hidden message. Baloney, the message is that the Lord will come in great glory and every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. This is not some secret society that has the revelation.
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
If Jesus has to first go through all this shouldn't the bride also want to go through this? How else can you have fellowship with Him in His sufferings? How else can we fill up that which is lacking in His sufferings?
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
There are those who tell you that Noah was myth, they are liars. They try to hold down the truth in unrighteousness. All of the evidence for Noah's flood is known, it is undeniable, and yet they still try to hide it and lie about it.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
These are trivial, vain people who are willfully ignorant. They are gluttons, drunkards, lascivious, fleshly people who mind the things of the flesh rather than the Spirit.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
In the midst of this evil and adulterous age people think "hey, I'm a pretty good person, I am building something, I'm planting something." All those things will go up in flames. There are others who all they care about is money, they buy, they sell, and they think whoever has the most dollars at the end of your life wins. They will also go up in flames.
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
You cannot possibly understand the purpose of human life if you cannot see the Son of Man. You need to pray that the Lord would be revealed to you, otherwise your life will be nothing but vanity, a puff of smoke.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
Some people realize that Sodom will go up in flames, but they "prep" for the end. The Lord is telling you that you will have to flee. Imagine having a house filled with supplies only for you to have to flee and leave it all behind. If the US is hit with a radioactive Tsunami if you aren't killed you aren't going to be able to stay, you will have to flee.
32 Remember Lot's wife.
She almost made it. Physically she had left Sodom on time to be saved, but what about her heart?
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
Can we remember this verse when you are seeking to prep for the end of days.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
This "bed" they are talking about is not for sleeping, it is like saying there will be two people at a booth in the diner, one will be taken the other left. They are eating. Or better yet, two men in the pews at church, one is taken the other left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Yes, maybe they are preparing dinner, or perhaps it is a reference to those preparing a message from the word of God.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
This could be talking about work, or it could be talking about the mission field. Two men involved in ministry.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
This verse points us to that sign in the heavens that wrote Aleph Tav over the US because it made an X over the spot where the vultures gather together, a spot called "Little Egypt". This verse also reminds us that 60 million babies were aborted in the US and that we expect in the fall of the Great Babylon (the US) there will be 60 million dead.
