What so new about having to struggle to maintain the correct Christian walk? I didn't know that CC has it's own dictionary. Your a moderator. You can find my E-mail address, can you send me a copy please? PDF or Word will due.
no one struggles to maintain the "correct Christian" walk. I did not know you changed the essence of the doctrine of Soteriology known as Salvation which is a science of the arts; which when one earns a degree in Christian Theology that is a degree of Science.

FYI Look up the word salvation in the websters dictionary Never mind I will do it for you for free like salvation.

Here is the dictionary definition of the word salvation

Definition of salvation

1a: deliverance from the power and effects of sin
b: the agent or means that effects salvation
Christian Science: the realization of the supremacy of infinite Mind over all bringing with it the destruction of the illusion of sin, sickness, and death
2: liberation from ignorance or illusion
3a: preservation from destruction or failure
b: deliverance from danger or difficulty

Deliverance? AMEN! But we must learn to tell the truth to ourselves in order to be able to confess them to the Lord and lay it at the foot of the cross. And we must keep a vigilant watch in order to keep temptation at bay! Because the enemy will most certainly will return. The Lord warned did he not?

I am totally lost now. I thought we were saved by Grace. Now someone says no it isn’t so, and that I am so wrong that I am like a heretic. I only said we needed Jesus to be saved. Isn’t that right? Or does it take more than Jesus? Is it my words being twisted or am I twisting other people’s words?

I am so confused.

We are saved BY GRACE amen through faith the word saved = salvation which means saved, delivered and healed. Grace is the undeserved love to us by God.

Grace = unmerited
salvation= healed saved, and delivered
Faith= the noun which produces belief = action or obeying

Why did you say all those things to me then in a previous post? How was what I said different from this?

Saved by grace and not of works (from the penalty of sin).

Sanctification is a continuous process. We are not magically delivered from every ill when we come to Christ (although we can be set free of some things). There are programs which help people (although I question the legitimacy of some of them). But, at the end of the day, why would you want a works program when you have Christ the Deliverer Himself? Just thinking out loud.

You're doing fine. There are 2 opposing sides here Saved by grace through faith and not by works vs saved by works. just like the bible discussion forum. BDF for short. @dcontroversal is the go to guy here.

I thought I had Christ, but then someone said all I believed was wrong.

I work because I can, the Lord lets me and because it is a blessing. That's all.

Never been there.
I must admit, I too am confused with some of the rhetoric here.
When a person becomes born again and receives a new nature, and no longer has the desire for their former addiction...do you refer to them as 'delivered' or 'cured'?
Yes instantly cured, delivered, set free, saved, made whole through the baptism of the Holy Spirit [with the Bible evidence of
praying in a new tongue].
We have thousands and thousands of testimonies of how when new believers received the Holy Spirit they were instantly set free
from their addictions, their lifestyle sins, often their diseases and illnesses, and so on.
The power of God working in people's lives with signs, miracles, healings …

wrong there are not two opposing sides in the context you have tried to lay out

the idea one is still an alcoholic once they have been saved.

One is no longer an alcoholic or identifies with the bondage after being saved.

You are not being honest with your comment.

Now he is saying the same thing I said. Is he wrong too?
lol you really read what you have said before.

Susanna,

you said " I think alcoholics, drug addicts, fornicators, gays, people corrupted by power, etc cannot be cured "

your statement is not true. Yes, they can be. salvation will heal and set free aka cure

Now, considering that a great number of homosexuals grow up in cultures where homosexuality carries severe social and/or legal penalties: what behaviour or learning is there within their cultural paradigm to cause them to have adopted homosexuality as a sociological response?

Can you support this statement from research?
You haven't noticed the extent to which gay people are vilified in the world? Or the countries where they are executed for it?
