I think that you @Waggles are letting your disgust for homosexuality get the better of you.
I think you and others how chosen to misunderstand and misinterpret what I have written on this thread.
I do not have uncontrollable disgust for homosexuals and their lifestyles.
What I do have as an issue is with Christians who will not challenge the notion of a "gay wedding."
My beef is that there is no such thing as a homosexual or same-sex "wedding."
Marriage and thus the wedding ceremony are God given for men and women to procreate and to have families.
Same-sex unions can do neither and are an abomination, a profanity.
And yet here on CC we have Christians defending such blasphemous weddings as OK and that they would attend and
support the "wedded" same-sex couple.
And it is not only I but plenty of other CC members have posted good scriptures and wisdom as to why RickyZ ought not to go
to his nephew's "wedding" but to no avail.
Suddenly the thread turned into a calling out of alleged close minded, self-righteous bigots who have no love and were condemning
all homosexuals out of proportion to other sinners.
Many times I attempted to to bring the thread back to the OP issue of should I attend my nephew's "wedding" but those who
see no wrong in attending such an abomination reduced the thread to some serious name calling and slander.
I will never attend and support a same-sex union ceremony not because I hate anybody doing such, but because I have
wisdom and discernment as to my walk with the Lord as a Christian with a testimony.
I am happy to preach to any person, gay or not, about Jesus in less offensive venues and places - a shopping mall or in the street.
