we have several friends in these types of situations, and we are caught in the middle, as we LOVE
them both so much that it hurts.
both want to vent to us and of course we have to listen and be there for them, but we have laid out
the boundaries- but it seldom goes well! all we can do is what we are told to say and do, the rest
is up to them...
most important rule, 'don't ever say to us, 'if I tell you this and this, promise me that
you won't tell the other what I said or what I did...
this is a no-no for us, because the fine line between 'betrayal' is a very fine line indeed....
our oaths are to Jesus and not to man...
we tell them from the start, and it never goes well, especially if they want us to come over and
'referee, - at some point, either one always says that we are 'taking sides'...
it's such a terrible situation to be put in, but this is one of the things we are required to do in our Walk, =
listen, advise, sympathize, support, but most of all, we have to Love equally and to not show parciality,
but equal Love for both, if not equal judgment, for it is very rare that it is 'both' who are doing the
worst-wrong thing to the inth degree...there is always an un-balance on one or the other's part...
this does not excuse the sins of both, but it makes it a burden for us, to tell them the TRUTH...
Yes, it does hurt, but the TRUTH MUST ALWAYS BE TOLD, no matter the cost...
