Would be funny if not so tragic.

Yup Brazil, who scoffed at the virus, is experiencing a walk in the park.

If this virus targeted babies I wonder if their response would be different.
The Supreme Court already targeted babies decades ago. And Planned Parenthood is carrying out their agenda with the help of politicians on both sides.

Is that what we are discussing... that would be a No.

It is the Christian response that is troubling, society does not value the elderly this we know, but when Christians decry efforts to save their lives that is extremely troubling to me.

I suppose banks could consult with scientists, also. They do have money. But JP Morgan may have some economic incentives, also, to write this.

I do wonder if some of the governments included the lives of people who die from starvation into their calculus of what to do. In some of the underdeveloped and developing countries, that could be a bigger risk than the disease. People can die from starvation, also. I live in a rich western country that printed out money and doled it out. But it was enough to cover one month's expenses for a lot of families during a multi-month period. They upped the unemployment benefits, but that did not help everyone. if someone had just graduated college, for example, and had not been working, what good would increasing unemployment benefits have done them? They have to live, too.

With the riots I think it's safe to say no one is worried about the Rona anymore. Social distancing is out the door. Slightly hypocritical I'd say.

I disagree, the lock down has achieved a lot personally. I have the chance of speaking to all of you, this would not happen if there was no lock down. I think isolation has also brought a lot of good. Imagine if everything was normal, we would all be dead by now.

Too soon to tell. Texas spiked three weeks after public protests and I am wondering if they will trace it to the protesters.

My state is just starting their open up phase how could this study have been done already? Too soon.

I predict 250,000 deaths in the US by end of August. I predict a record spike in infection cases in one month from today. I am using simple logic. I hope I am wrong. If I am wrong I am predicting that the slow down will be directly related to the warmer weather and its effect on how the virus spreads.
About 195,000 half way through September. I still think it might reach 250,000 before 2020 is over and then it will drop drastically over the next year due to vaccines. By 2022 only the unvaccinated will get it and eventually it will be stamped out.
We are going to look back on the very first task force press conferences and the original predictions of the expert panel that advised Trump of a 250K US death count before the bell shaped curve drops back down and we are going to say, Wow. we have good experts in the USA. Be proud of your country.

Yeah, except for the fact that those numbers are all highly exaggerated, as the hospitals have been attributing other causes of deaths as being Covid deaths. The Democrats did this in collusion with the hospital admins in order to create the Covid epidemic, so that they could legally shut down businesses and control the population. The democratically controlled news media aided in this deception. The front-line doctors themselves have admitted this. As an incentive, the hospitals receive 13,000 per covid death and 39,000 is certain cases. Therefore, the hospital admins with $ signs in their eyes were motivated to comply.

As one doctor said, "How many cases and deaths were Covid related, no one knows." To be sure, the virus is real, but the truth is that, the number of Covid cases and deaths are no where near what the hospitals and media have reported.

Along with the impeachment attempt and the exaggerated Covid cases and deaths, the rioting and destruction and everything else, is all being perpetrated by the far left democrats in an attempt to continue to keep Trump from being reelected. Else you would have to ask yourself, why would the governor's and mayors of those democratically run cities, allow the rioting and looting to go on night after night without deploying their police and swat teams to stop it in its tracks? Not only did they not do anything about it, when Trump offered to send the National Guard, those democratic authorities refused and just continued to blame Trump. The simple answer is that, the Dem's wanted the riots to continue so that they could get the people to believe that Trump is responsible in order to discredit him for reelection. Yet as previously stated, these are governed by democrats who didn't do anything and refused any help.

But getting back to the subject, the numbers you refer to are false and much, much lower. Not only that, but according to the front-line doctors, Covid for the vast majority is nothing more than a mild cold. It is the elderly and those already having health issues, that are affected, which in comparison is a small majority.

I'd like to see a breakdown of the numbers. I've heard some deaths ridiculously attributed to COVID when that was not the cause of death. But if someone has COVID-19 and comes down with pneumonia or some other disease while fighting the disease, it might be fair to attribute it to COVID-19.

That is because pneumonia is usually the reason that someone with COVID-19 dies. That does not mean it is something other than COVID that killed them. COVID caused the pneumonia. Also many of the other things mentioned on cause of death are a result of COVID but people who do not read and try to understand are spreading rumors that these other items listed are not related to COVID. They don't understand how medical causes are documented. They will see medical terms that have to do with not being able to breathe and think it is some other non related issue.

Part of this may be the social media echo chamber effect. Social media artificial intelligence compares what you like with what other people like and feeds you stuff the algorithm thinks you like. If you like right wing conspiracies about the deep state or left wing conspiracies that Trump had something to do with Russian bots posting on social media during the last presidential election, that may pop up at the top of you Facebook feed or be in the recommended YouTube channels. People often have friends with similar views, which compounds the effect on some platforms like Facebook and Instagram. If enough uninformed people say the same thing, it feels like common knowledge. It seems like a fact.

CDC -- which is supposed to tell the truth -- DELIBERATELY OBFUSCATED the reporting on deaths in order to continue promoting the myth that there would be millions of death in the USA (as initially started by Fauci). Just go to their website and see how cleverly they have hidden the truth and gotten away with it since January 2020. If you can get away with connecting accidents and poisonings to COVID, and get away with it, that is simply evil and brilliant.

uh no

we would not ALL be dead now. as it is, the lockdown has had some very bad side effects such as people committing suicide and
people loosing their livelihoods. apparently half the restaurants in NYC are finished and will not ever open again

the effects will begin coming in in further months down the road. people loosing their homes and properties and so on

notice I am not ranting anti lockdown, I am just pointing out that it was not the perfect answer to all ills
