Doesnt mean Google is right. I go to a Pentecostal church and they don't teach this.

Meself I think demons can attach themselves onto a person but not possess them.
I think demons can taunt and tempt (and they do). But it's not possible
for the holy spirit and an evil spirit to live side by side in a person.
Thats assuming a person has the indwelling spirit ...

This is the first time I have ever heard that. Years ago I dated a lady who was a Pentecostal whose church taught that such demonic possession could take place. (we broke up because I refused to attend her church services but that's another story)

Here in the USA we have all kinds of revival meetings where good Christians are said to be exorcised of demonic possession and supposedly cleansed of the evils they cause. As noted above, Paul had to deal with demonic torment despite being a good Christian. The Catholic church continues to teach about exorcism:

Exorcism in Catholic Church: Pope Francis says Satan, the devil, is real.

Those who are Catholic know of St John Vianney, St Teresa, and Padre Pio among others who were tormented for years by demons as well. This is why I Peter 5:8 warns to be watchful of demons and their attempt to conquer one's soul. This may not be taught by your church but it is taught in others and in the Bible.

There can be people who "turn over a new leaf" but they are not filled with
anything. Jesus warned about this.

Matthew 12:43-45 NKJV
[43] "When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places,
seeking rest, and finds none. [44] Then he says, 'I will return to my house from
which I came.' And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.
[45] Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself,
and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
So shall it also be with this wicked generation."

PS you have to read the whole of that chapter to put it into context, Jesus was speaking to the
scribes and Pharisees. In other verses he described them as like white washed tombs full
of dead men's bones. They were swept but empty of spiritual life.
You don't have to be possessed in all aspects of life to be demon possessed. Certain aspects of your mind will and emotions can be be demon possessed where you no longer have control over it and in many cases cannot restrain your will or actions. The demons don't magically dissapear once you get saved, they are still there. When you receive the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the demons cannot control that Spirit. But they can have dominant control over your carnal mind will and emotions. All this activity is taking place side by side with the Holy Spirit. A unclean spirit can enter your body through its openings at any time, and a believer would need deliverance from such on a daily basis in most cases if he want to maintain a state of purity. Matthew 12:43-45 is a warning that you can get worse than you were before if you allow the evil you were once freed from to return and dwell in you. The spirit actually calls the person "my house" in this case.
