a bigoted scum bag calling themselves a Christian.
Hmmm... I was wondering why the west is being swamped by Sodomy. I just got my answer. Christians who oppose the evil that is Sodomy are maligned as "bigots" and "scum". Christian beliefs and values (in general) are spat upon, suppressed, smothered and criminalized when it does not align with the 'ideals' of the world. When people who call themselves 'Christian' starts joining hands with the world to pull down and oppress conservative Christians and their Bible based beliefs (The quote above is a perfect example.), I think that is when God finally starts to abandon a society or a nation.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Why stop at homosexuals. Would you refuse a cake to a customer who wants to celebrate a year of living in sin with a partner?

What about the local drug dealers and pimps? What about the Muslims and Budhists, refuse them trade too as they are following a false religion?
Giving a cookie to a pimp, drug dealer, or lesbian is different than giving them food that is meant to celebrate their sin.

If a pimp bought a cake to take back to a brothel to celebrate how many girls he sells out, I don't think people would be as upset at him being refused service for that cake. And for those who would say, "But a homosexual relationship has two mutual people, your example has someone [the girls, in this case] being harmed!" Does it matter if God says both are a sin?

didymos, I repeated myself because you didn't seem to understand the point. I see now that you are not able to do so.
Yeah, I'm ignorant and everybody knows it...

Well whatever. I've said my say here,
I'm done with this pie fight.

Does it say somewhere in the Bible that being part of an interracial couple is an abomination? I don't see how that really relates...the bakery owners denied service to the lesbian couple because Christianity teaches- straight out of the Bible- that homosexuality is wrong. I don't understand why it's closed-minded for people to actually practice Biblical values...?
because its one thing to practice them yourself. Were the bakers gay? No oh so they got it right for themselves according to their beliefs. Now explain the christian part of discriminating against others because they dont believe the same?

If it was targeted, well I'm fine with that too. Sometimes you want to get a trial going for people who had broke the law multiple times. In order to do that you need to actually be able to file the complaint based on how you were discriminated against. They may have went there knowing that the store owner would refuse, but that doesn't make the situation different. The owners were breaking the law, and someone in the community wanted them to stop and decided to go a legal route to stop them. That is all that matters to me.

Let us not blame the people who were willing to take this to court, if you have something against it you should take it up with the equality act.

I thought bigoted Christians were only found in Westbro Baptist Church, but I guess the hate towards me and the reactions to my reasonable logical hypothetical scenario proves otherwise.

I can not see the reasoning behind denying a couple of people a wedding cake based on their sexuality yet its ok to sell them cupcakes, the hypocrisy of it, It is ridiculous.

The cake owners should be prosecuted, they broke the law, end of story.

This is not the way for Chrisians to behave, if Christians want to protest about homosexual marriages, they should concentrate the effort on politicians and law makers.

We are to show love and bring people to Christ, that can not happen if people throw toys out of pram when homosexuals want something for their wedding, all that does is re-enforces that all Christians are hateful bigots who detest homosexuals.

I think the word "hate" is thrown around just as much as the word "love".

I'm pretty sure no one's hating on you, Agricola. That's the problem nowadays, disagree with someone and you're automatically labeled a "hater".

Don't you understand that many religious people think that homosexual acts are against God's will?

Why can't you accept the rights of others to hold beliefs that are different than yours?

These are also all against Gods will,

  • adultery
  • Living together without being married.
  • Stealing the paperclips and pens from your work.
  • Getting drunk and taking drugs
  • Telling little white lies to make life a little easier,
  • breaking the speed limit laws
  • looking at porn
  • lusting over someone

so does that mean if you owned a cake shop and you knew your customer did one of the following you would refuse them? Sorry I can not serve you as I know you sleep around that is against my faith and belief.. Sorry I can not serve you as I know you steal things and that is against my faith and belief.

Why so much hate directed towards homoseuxal and why single them out for special treatment? Why can you not see that victimising homosexuals is going to turn them even more away from God. Just go the whole hog and wave placards saying God hates Fags.

If you want to make a stand against Homosexuality, then aim it at the law makers and politicians.

Homosexuality is not right, I accept that, but then neither is most other things, yes I understand its become a battleground and many Christians see it as warfare, all homosexulas have a target on thier back and must be eradicated atg all cost, but really? is that really how Christ wants us to act? No.

Was the actions of cake shop owners one of planting seeds and winning hearts and minds for Christ? no obviously not, it was the actions of hateful bigots who showed hate and disgust.

IF Christ was standing next to cake shop owners, would He have said, "Well done, that told them, disgusting faggots and sodomites, they will soon burn in hell for their filth"

Or would CHrist said, "What you doing, that's not what I taught you, have you not read the Gospels and my message, you missed a huge chance to tell them about me and my love for them, but thanks to you, you simply have pushed them further away..."

Stop the ridiculous stance against Homosexuals and show them love and share them about Christs love for them, not condemnation.

Do you think that this business should have to make a cake for an adultery party? It's none of your business.

Why can't you anti Christian bigots leave us alone? Do what you want just don't try to force us to say it is OK.

All diversity must be respected....except Christian diversity!
The conscience is to be molded by the State...not God's Word?

Technically it is our business because whether you agree or not, discrimination is wrong. Trying to smooth it over with the guise of religion doesnt make discrimination right. If the bakery makes wedding cakes then they should do so for whoever orders them.

People discriminate every day. How many convicts do you hire to babysit your children?

How many child molesters work at daycare centers.

Why do sexual deviants think they get special rights to force their lifestyles on others?

sexual predators nor felons are protected classes. Sexual orientation is. Perhaps you should learn some things before also comparing homosexuals with the dregs of society.

Only when it discriminates others. Besides its not like the bible is the recognized law of america. Just because it says something is bad, does not give you the right in this country to discriminate. Get off the christian high horse and try seeing them as people and not as gays

Are Christians? Do you think a Christian photographer should have to photograph an orgy?

Why can't you get that this is a violation of rights. For Christians marriage is a sacred thing and we should not be forced to profane marriage.

Homosexual acts are like any other sinful behavior. There is no right to force others to condone this behavior.

Agricola, it's already been discussed that there's a difference between serving a sinner a donut (or a carwash, or mowing their lawn, etc.) and serving an event that celebrates that sin.

So, using one of your examples, if I owned a cake shop and someone walked in who I knew watched porn and ordered a donut, I would serve them. BUT, if they wanted me to make an erotic cake to take to a "porn watching party" him and some other guys were having, I would feel uncomfortable and refuse. I will not provide for a "sin party".
