So finding waste, fraud, and abuse is bad. Got it. Ending wars is bad. Got it. Ending hiring practices based on race and personal characteristics is bad. Got it.
So many reasons to be optimistic breaking out. The sins of America should be corrected, but this was not going to happen with the status quo.

I have no problem with correcting fraud and abuse, I hate wasting tax payer money.
As well my own family has lost positions/promotions, as have I because of the bad part of DEI policies.
So make no mistake that is not my point at all.
USAID was an instrument of soft power so lets not pretend this is just about cutting waste and fraud, USA is seeking to preserve its hegemony and rather than enter the developing new world order as a partner, it is seeking to preserve its status but this is typical of dying empires and usually they do not go down without a fight and it typically causes a lot of damage.
This is the path we are on, of this I have no doubt, as Trump seeks to impose tarriffs on an ally with whom there really is no trade imbalance except for oil.

Nearly every nation, including Canada, have higher tariffs on the US than we have on them. We have been taken advantage of by nearly everyone. It feels good to have government fighting for the people again. Look what just happened: Canada stopped charging excessive rates on electricity. Thank you Mr. Trump.
Barrett is a fool and misrepresented her beliefs. She is not a strict constitutionalist. She likes the attention of the " Washington scene " and is just another in a long line of sell-outs of the American people. Another liar and traitor like her new mentor, Roberts.

Well Trump is not a man of his word he signed the deal.
Canada is not every nation, the USA has a trade surplus with the USA except for oil/energy.
Since you cannot stick to the topic and the facts, once again I am moving on.
Trump lied.
Remove Canadian energy exports from the equation and the trade story flips. Ex-energy, the U.S. enjoys a trade surplus with Canada of around C$60 (US$45 billion).
