Y'all are the determinists and the pessimist. I'm well aware of what God can do. And I'm well aware of God's ways. Trump is a vessel like any other leader. He'll be successful if the hearts of the people are turned again towards God. But some things are already better. Churches won't be closed. Pornography won't be forced upon grade school children. Men will be recognized as men and not allowed in women's sports. These are victories. Moreover, there is at least hope that many other things can change for the better. Cautious optimistism is in order, but pessimism is unwarranted at this juncture, imo.
No, we are the ones who are in touch with reality and not falling for government and the technocrats propaganda.

If the people's hearts were turned toward God they would not be complicit with the evil that the USA has been inflicting around the world two situations come to mind.

I got some fresh RED Xes for you that just came out of the oven. :giggle:
Go for it.
We all know it far more than a simple disagree when it is expressed over and over again towards the same person or idea.
Go read up on psychology studies.

Well, you keep repeating yourself with the same things and you don't have any substantial material to discuss without grabbing a diet-conspiracy.
I mean you compare Trump to Nazi Germany? lol
What kind of discussion do you expect after that? Besides humor? :)
And where were you, when the left was pulling a "Goebels" confusing children and language?
:coffee:

You mean DOGE is not working on behalf of the good of American people, you mean this administration does the same things the other party does!!

For shame, I am shocked, my world is crumbling, oh the reality of it all.
Where are my rose colored glasses!!

Citing a quote, that is ridiculous.
For that you go on ignore. Give all the red x's you need to make yourself feel better.

See unlike you I can see the evil on both sides of the aisle and I am not lost in lala land.
Substantial material, it is all available if you were actually interested.
I gave the names to @studier

The reality is most people will not put in the time and effort.

The Republican party are the only ones who can get away with giving great lip service to average, working Americans but only deliver for the millionaire and billionaire class. Their base keeps falling for it every time. Truly a remarkable achievement.
He is working to maintain the tax cuts ...but tax cuts for the billionaire class is ultimately a way to starve the system that is the long term goal.

So finding waste, fraud, and abuse is bad. Got it. Ending wars is bad. Got it. Ending hiring practices based on race and personal characteristics is bad. Got it.

So many reasons to be optimistic breaking out. The sins of America should be corrected, but this was not going to happen with the status quo.

I have no problem with correcting fraud and abuse, I hate wasting tax payer money.

As well my own family has lost positions/promotions, as have I because of the bad part of DEI policies.
So make no mistake that is not my point at all.

USAID was an instrument of soft power so lets not pretend this is just about cutting waste and fraud, USA is seeking to preserve its hegemony and rather than enter the developing new world order as a partner, it is seeking to preserve its status but this is typical of dying empires and usually they do not go down without a fight and it typically causes a lot of damage.

This is the path we are on, of this I have no doubt, as Trump seeks to impose tarriffs on an ally with whom there really is no trade imbalance except for oil.

Fentanyl an excuse.

Correction of some sins, yes, but continue on the same path and worse in other ways, once a leader starts to undermine the democratic principles and structures of a government, restoration is not likely.

I am with Amy Coney Barrett who glared at Trump because she knows, she can see below the surface rhetoric.
It is the actions which matter.

Nearly every nation, including Canada, have higher tariffs on the US than we have on them. We have been taken advantage of by nearly everyone. It feels good to have government fighting for the people again. Look what just happened: Canada stopped charging excessive rates on electricity. Thank you Mr. Trump.

Barrett is a fool and misrepresented her beliefs. She is not a strict constitutionalist. She likes the attention of the " Washington scene " and is just another in a long line of sell-outs of the American people. Another liar and traitor like her new mentor, Roberts.

Do you believe social security should be done away with?

Well Trump is not a man of his word he signed the deal.
Canada is not every nation, the USA has a trade surplus with the USA except for oil/energy.
Since you cannot stick to the topic and the facts, once again I am moving on.
Trump lied.

Remove Canadian energy exports from the equation and the trade story flips. Ex-energy, the U.S. enjoys a trade surplus with Canada of around C$60 (US$45 billion).
(TD Canada Trust)

Impressive how far people will go to defend him.

Barrett, ooh trigger!! She ruled against Trump she is a sell out. Maybe she is trying to block his tyrant/bully tendencies.
