I'm sorry, but with wild thinking like that, I honestly have no idea how to converse with you. I imagine there are many hundreds, probably thousands, of family members of dead victims of terrorists who wish someone had done SOMETHING about the guns possessed by people the government felt were a threat , long before they ended the lives of their loved ones.
what you call 'wild thinking' is actually nothing more than the arguments that the republicans themselves made against this proposal in congress...

it is flatly unconstitutional for an entity of the executive branch to revoke a person's second amendment rights without due process on the basis of 'suspicion'

this is something that has been understood by constitutionalists and conservatives and republicans for years...it has only been recently abandoned now that trump has hijacked the republican party...

there is a long list of other considerations...but the ones i listed are the decisive ones for me in concluding that neither candidate is fit for office and neither deserves my vote...

an analogy would be that someone has already failed all of the exams so miserably that they have no hope of passing the course...and you want to look at their homework assignments...

Except the list I provided pretty much makes the one you did concerning Trump null and void.

What she is saying is that the laws should be passed by the lawmakers and not the executive branch.

first amendment...called for penalties against reporters for reporting that he doesn't agree with...called for religion based immigration bans...

second amendment...wants to deny gun ownership rights to those on 'no fly' lists...

fourth amendment...mathematically speaking his call for deporting all illegal immigrants would require 'booking' every single person on american soil...otherwise it will just not be possible...

fifth amendment...also related to the 'no fly' list gun ban due to the fact that being on this list would have you immediately banned from owning a gun without due process...

tenth amendment...trump promised the death penalty for anyone who murders a police officer...but this is a power reserved to the states...

fourteenth amendment...trump opposes citizenship by birth...
Let's just go thru it.....You think that a person can come across the border illegally and give birth to a citizen is a constititutionally protected right....which it ain't....and you are blatantly misrepresenting Trumps stand on the issue.

Tenth amendment....hadn't seen that come out of Trumps mouth. I saw him suggest it...and I agree with him. To say he promised it is again another misrepresentation of Trump by Rachel.

If you are on a no fly list due to ties to radical Islam...you shouldn't be able to buy a gun....same as if you are a felon.

4th amendment....yet another exaggeration by Rachel. If you are here illegally like you say everyone is then you should, based on your lofty principles and love of all things in truth....deport yourself.


5th amendment.....again, if you have ties to radical islam you shouldn't be able to buy a gun...well because radical islamists have this weird tendency to murder people.


The fact is rachel, we need to weed out those who adhere to radical islam...and if a muslim is offended that they are looked at with a weary eye because of the religion they ascribe to...too bad, they should be understanding and sensitive to that, because...well....radical islamists like to murder us and we need to find out who they are. here is the 'citizenship clause' from the fourteenth amendment...

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

trump believes 'all persons born in the united states' does not include -all- persons born in the united states...

You're correct. Anyone could be "suspected" of anything with little to no evidence supporting the suspicion.

In homicides cases, when a wife or girlfriend is murdered, it's protocol to have the husband/boyfriend brought in for question being their first suspect. This doesn't mean that 100% of the husbands/boyfriends actually did the murdering. We have a court of law that decides if a person truly did the crime or if they were merely suspected of the crime.

It astounds me how people use "suspected" and "convicted" interchangeably. As ridiculous as it is, even active shooters like the Dallas sniper, are called "suspects". He is a suspect until he is tried (or he is dead).

In homicides cases, when a wife or girlfriend is murdered, it's protocol to have the husband/boyfriend brought in for question being their first suspect. This doesn't mean that 100% of the husbands/boyfriends actually did the murdering. We have a court of law that decides if a person truly did the crime or if they were merely suspected of the crime.

While the person is being interrogated/interviewed, it would be in the interest of both parties for their safety.

If the officers/DA have nothing on the husband/boyfriend, they have to let him go and he has the right to his guns again... Even if they consider him a prime suspect... That is the law of the land.

Consider a woman accuses you of raping her when you did not do it. You're obviously going to be the prime suspect. The court of public opinion has you guilty even before hearing the entire story or supposed evidence. The stigma from being a suspect remains, even if you are exonerated of the crime.

Should you not have access to guns after you were suspected of rape?
