well then, if you are suspected of having ties to radical Islam, for your safety and others you shouldn't be able to buy a gun.
I fixed it for you.

I could suspect you of having ties to radical Islam... it doesn't necessarily mean that you do... hand over your guns if you have any. =/

Maybe Trump should have said we should revisit and consider modifying the 14th amendment. The 14th was ratified when DEMOCRAT controlled southern states were denying citizenship to freed blacks. Maybe the 14th should be changed to say that you have to be born to atleast one parent on U.S. soil that is a citizen to be a citizen yourself.

You're correct. Anyone could be "suspected" of anything with little to no evidence supporting the suspicion.

In homicides cases, when a wife or girlfriend is murdered, it's protocol to have the husband/boyfriend brought in for question being their first suspect. This doesn't mean that 100% of the husbands/boyfriends actually did the murdering. We have a court of law that decides if a person truly did the crime or if they were merely suspected of the crime.

It astounds me how people use "suspected" and "convicted" interchangeably. As ridiculous as it is, even active shooters like the Dallas sniper, are called "suspects". He is a suspect until he is tried (or he is dead).
You said it yourself, in this day and age, ESPECIALLY IN THIS PRESENT TIME, it is ridiculous. And many of these laws have to be looked at very closely.... in the meantime, I , personally, don't want any suspected killer to be allowed to be freely armed..... and many of these guys are already felons. This is not the day of one shooter having a single shot muzzle-loader.

I fully understand this point of view, I even sort of agree to a large extent. However, if we are going strictly by the constitution, a person merely suspected of a crime is not enough to deny them their constitutionally guarantee rights.

We have to change the constitution or have a liberal Supreme Court "interpret" the constitution differently than the founding fathers wrote the right to bear arms.

Laws are made to be broken. Gun control won't work.

They oughta leave that to the states. If some state approves of gun control, so be it, but they should not pass a federal ban on guns.

There are nowhere near enough Bernie supporters to elect him over Hillary. We all know that. So, are you saying that since if his supporters did that, the democrat vote would be split, and Trump would be elected?

I just don't see Bernie wanting Trump in, so we both know he is never going to do that.

(Or, were you just hoping that Bernie would do that, and, thus, you must have been talking about yourself when you said "the old man is smarter than he lets on"? That bit was a little hard for me to follow.)
It takes a while for old men to finally get it. lol

I'm voting for Trump cause I don't want Hillary nominating the next justice to the supreme court.

Shucks, it's almost the only real point.

Did you hear that Harold Hamm is the top contender for Energy Sec? Wouldn't it be a novel idea to put someone in there who actually understands it? Lol

There are so many things that would be neat to see if true experts in ALL field were appointed.... and their advice, heeded.

BTW, Harold was conceived right about the day I was born.

We are on the verge of having our natural rights that were enumerated in the constitution severely chilled if not taken away completely. One supreme court justice away from disaster. If I'm not mistaken, Trump has already put out a list of nominees that are very much constitutionalist. That is the big message the Republicans need to get out.

Yep, 11 of them, and they were all well received.

The fact is rachel, we need to weed out those who adhere to radical islam...and if a muslim is offended that they are looked at with a weary eye because of the religion they ascribe to...too bad, they should be understanding and sensitive to that, because...well....radical islamists like to murder us and we need to find out who they are. I don't even trust white people until I get to know them Lol. Are you as suicidal as the left wing appears to be?
the republicans did not dismiss strict adherence to the constitution as 'suicidal' until trump showed up and told them america would need to do 'unthinkable' things to stay safe...

It's ludicrous to assert that a pregnant canadian woman out combining her field, goes into labor, drives thru a fence and gives birth to a US citizen 15 ft inside our border.
no more ludicrous than insisting that a person who has never set foot on mexican soil is a mexican national...

Hillary;"we are against evrything Trump and pence are for"

What does that tell you?

Hillary is just 4 more years of Obama's destruction of America.

You like promoting Homosexuals, transvestites, pediphiles, comunists, and destroying the economy and defense?

Then vote hillary.

Oh,and stirring the racial pot,and the class envy pot,and the ever successful VICTIM POT. Yes we need those things and she will surely give us an even more diverse (transvestite, gay, lesbian) staffed white house.

TURN ON THE RAINBOW LIGHTS HILLARY!!!!
don't look now but trump had his openly gay convention speaker dismissing most of the social issues you mentioned as 'distractions'...

amending the constitution to modify the fourteenth amendment would be the constitutional approach to addressing this issue...

but to do as trump promises to do and simply ignore the constitution because it doesn't say what he wishes it said would be unconstitutional...

but while we are talking about an amendment to modify the fourteenth amendment...i would argue that being born to american citizen parents should not automatically make you a citizen if you spend all of your formative years outside of the united states...
