Remember, Trump promised to drain the swamp the first time around; but instead, he forgot all about draining the swamp once he got in there. I predict the same this time around if he wins. He just tells people what they want to hear.
He was attacked on all sides the second he got into office. You wouldn't have gotten half done of what he did.

That's not actually correct,,,Trump imminently began referring to GOP members as RINO's and began taking the GOP apart one by one and divided the Grand Old Party against it's own self. People just assumed he meant the Demoncrats by draining the swamp...

I have been around from 1999-2004, 2013-20, 2023-

I can tell that @posthuman is giving the same impression as he has for many years. My observation is that the crowd here has changed a lot over the last years. Probably some of the people who have been here a long time have changed their attitudes and opinions also.
well I had many pleasant exchanges with Post in the past, but ... I am not going to say what I think here

you have frequented the forum more than I it seems

There's always the concept of being pushed too far. I think this is part of what has been drawn out during Trump. The push had to become extreme to deal with him and in doing so it may finally be the "too far." It seems to me most of us just want to be treated fairly and not have absurd ideologies pushed and forced upon us. It also seems this "most" may be some big numbers. So, I guess we'll see the numbers and if too far has finally happened.
Are you aware of what is happening in Europe? It seems the 'too far' button was pushed and people have had enough

I mean it is or was getting to the point in this country, that people were afraid to even say what they really thought for fear of the FBI showing up at their door

while Jan 6 was a stupid thing to enact, the trials were a travesty and the way those who participated in nothing more than just being there have been hunted down, is beyond the pale

the so called 'summer of love' was the violence they have attributed to the Jan 6 crowd. the whole thing is like a poorly written spoof of a drama for prime time tv

Been here a fair long time myself. I personally see a difference. So much so that I was going to ask myself but Niki beat me to it. Post is entitled to have any POV he wishes. Just seems like times have changed. He can speak for himself I'm sure.

Right, I hope Trump pardons every one of the Jan 6 people if he gets into office.

I watch headlines to some degree and look at some details that catch my eye. My impression is that the far enough may be [just about] here and that much has come to light that I don't think was the plan to expose to the degree and as soon as it was exposed. There were plenty saying what was taking place and would eventuate. The eventuation is in plain site now and the slippery slope has ended up where some said it would.

I also think there is some energy in younger Christians to get involved where the past generation was not paying enough attention and was not sufficiently involved.

The problem now IMO is that it doesn't just need to be stopped from proceeding, but that a lot needs to be reversed. That's a big task that will require a lot of strength, resolve and stamina.

Baby boy found guilty...on all counts...no one is above the law

And a big Yea go's out!!!!!... I was afraid they would argue that they did not give a drug test to him(and he failed it), nor did the FBI or police catch him with any cocaine themselves. Now watch they'll try and say he was convicted on just hear say witness testimony and that it opens the door(by Federal law) for any person to just claim someone is on drugs and get their guns taken away but anyone we think is a doper should immediately loose their guns and rights...

Voters Leaning More Toward Biden on Economy more here

A Financial Times/University of Michigan's Ross School of Business poll found that an increasing number of voters are saying they trust Biden to better handle the U.S. economy.

While Trump (41 percent) still leads Biden (37 percent) in what is widely considered the election's biggest issue, the Democrat has clawed back some of the Republican's lead from 11 points in February to just four in June.

"The Trump campaign should be worried about his shrinking lead on who voters trust with the economy because the economy is voters' biggest issue," said Erik Gordon of the Ross School of Business.

"Voters are more concerned with the economy than with other campaign issues like immigration and foreign policy. To win the election, you have to convince voters that you will do the best job with the economy."

lovely piece from spin city :cautious: left cannot win on merit, so spin spin spin and lie into the wind MUST become a part of the campaign

Trump is not loosing in these polls concerning the economy or any other issue that we are all concerned about

but get ready for the outrageous offerings that will be dropped like leaflets during WWII when certain cities were going to be bombed by the allies

Got this off of Drudge where it seems the truth goes to die

Gotta really ramp it up now that Biden's pride and joy (smartest person I know ring a bell?) has not been declared innocent

the defense has tried all kinds of gymnastics including sympathy (reminds me of that Stone's song)

They even tried saying that the FBI changed the X to the box we see it in on the forum

the entire Biden choir was seated in the courtroom for most of the trial

And what's the deal with all the poll's where the vast majority of younger Republican voters are beginning to support climate change...

Yep it struck me like a sneaky trick where those wanting to end firearms rights establish a federal law by convicting Hunter,,,giving him a slap on the wrist then they get to go state by state and take gun after gun. All the recreational dope states just lost their gun rights if you notice... I bet the bag with the supposed gun she put in the trash never had a gun in it and it was a movie we watched to so the feds can go after half if not more of the peoples guns...

It's actually sad because Hunter is a victim of his Dad and Politics. We see how Joe played him all throughout his career from the moment he passed the bar. Obama and Joe placed Hunter in Ukraine and literally used him as the "fall guy" in the scheme of things. And we see in Hunter's life he hit a wall and started crashing under the pressure and next thing he's an addict. And as an addict he began doing irrational things. This is a sad day because the wrong person was found guilty today.

I pray that this weighs heavily on Joe. I don't wish him death but I've seen many elderly parents die when their children had great tragedy like this. And this is Federal. There is no good time served in Federal. What you get sentenced you serve to the letter of the Sentence. Just another straw in the box of a man who has been destroyed by the pressures of the weight of their parents. Joe did not even attend a single day of the trial. He ran his big mouth when Trump got convicted and is now being forced to eat his own words.

Should Bidden lose in November, he will no doubt compute the Sentencing.

A smart Judge in this trial would extend or delay the decision in Hunter's case until January 1, 2025.

actually have not heard or seen those....got a reference?

I dunno about climate change, but I do know things are extra hot and last summer was extra special

thankfully we have a wk of off and on again rain here in FL...the past week was a 'stay inside' week...anything over 90 and I'm nope! not doing it. I would actually prefer nothing over 85 and that would be with a nice cold lake to swim in

I do not believe people are going to hand over their guns with a 'oh wait a minute...I have 3 more upstairs'

I am not with you on the rest of what you said. I'm Canadian. up there they went past the point of no return as far as guns and ownership go

You know, we might read things like God rained down sulfur on Sodom, the land was full of Blood in the Battle of this, the sea became a great wall of water, and many things in Revelation clearly shows us natural disasters.

When we look at Sodom it is literally surrounded by volcanoes in a valley. Clearly God blinded them and erupted volcanoes on them. We're still finding sulfur balls to this day.

Where Armageddon is located, 75 volcanoes are dormant. If they would erupt the lava flow covering the valley of Megiddo would be red like blood and easily come up to horses bridle.

A tsunami easily explains a great wall of water.

So no doubt Climate Change is real and God is using it to bring the End of things to pass.
