What is wrong with you people and your backwards politics? First, politics and faith are separated, one can be a Christian democrat and an atheist republican, or a narcissist republican, in Donald Trump's case. I have seen so much hatred, meaness, bigotry, lies, foolishness, arrogance, aggression and ignorance on the side of right-wing "Christian" republicans than on the side of democrats.

I think President Obama has been a good president, he has had to make up for the idiots that were before him, and he has made America more equal and popular around the world. He has done a lot to help the poor and lower class. A lot of ignorant rednecks hate President Obama, they are poor and do not realize that republican politicians are only interested in money and dominance, the poor rednecks will be really sorry when republicans win, they are heavily against the poor. Republicans support big business, oil and gas, billionaires are the ones who profit. If you're not rich, republicans are not interested in you.
Quote "I think President Obama has been a good president"

So as a Christian you have no problem with the fact that Obama mocked Christians and the Bible. You have no problem with the fact that he lit up the White House in support of gay marriage when the Bible clearly says that is a sin. You have no problem with the fact that before he was elected in Rick Warrens church he said marriage was "between a man and a woman" and now lights up the White House in colors to support gays. And as Christian you have no problem that Obama said there are other ways to get to God. If you are Christian that believes the Bible you cannot also support Obama.

Quote "I have seen so much hatred, meaness, bigotry, lies, foolishness, arrogance, aggression and ignorance on the side of right-wing "Christian" republicans than on the side of democrats."

Then you aren't listening to far left Dems. But would you care to explain what you mean by bigotry? And thats a pretty big brush you're using to paint all Republicans.

Quote "and he has made America more equal and popular around the world"

This is going to sound mean, but its a serious question,do you get your news from the late night shows? More equal and popular around the world? That is just an unbelievable statement to make. I'm seriously surprised.

Quote"He has done a lot to help the poor and lower class."

I'd like to see proof of this statistic. Putting everyone on food stamps is not helping the poor.

Quote "A lot of ignorant rednecks hate President Obama"

As someone who lives in the south and married a southerner I take offense to that comment. The people of the south are wonderful people. And they are not "rednecks" nor "ignorant". That comment is deeply offensive.

Quote "they are heavily against the poor"

You know there is a couple streets in our town that are full of black families.Working class families.Their homes are so tiny. It looks like they are barely making it. When Obama came up for election there were signs on everyones lawns. After all these years of Obama in office the same families are still there.Same homes, still just barely getting by. I wanted to stop and ask them "what has Obama done for you? What has changed for the better in your life?" I wonder what their honest answer would be.

Quote "If you're not rich, republicans are not interested in you."

So you think Hill and Bill arent rich? You think they honestly understand what it is like to be poor? Hillary said they were poor when they came out of the White House. You really think she understands the word poor? I think she uses a different definition then the rest of us do.

After all these years I find out twilight zone is real. Huh:confused:

He claims to be a Christian
how odd then, that so many believers voted for a devout mormon instead!
when if either had become a member of this forum, we would have quickly rejected the mormon and accepted the brother, even if he was weak in the faith.

My question was lost among the hate filled posts (and still is). It was not intended for a written reply, but a self examination. We all can sit back and throw rocks and hate at people who don't look like us, think like us or vote like us. My question, as a Christian, speaking to other Christians, instead of spewing hate, how about praying? Again sorry to derail your thread OP, just responding to a question asked of me. And for the record, I did not vote either time for Obama. I do not hate or wish him ill. I have prayed for him to lead this country. He has been president for nearly 8 years and I still have all my guns and still go to my same church. Fear and hate are a terrible thing, especially coming from the mouth of believers.
You werent done? You interrupted my self examination. How rude!

What makes you think we dont pray?
Is Jose' Suave' your kinfolk?

Just because we have disdain of his chief-ness doesnt mean we hate. We certainly dont fear!! It also doesnt mean we dont pray for him!

Please be careful getting down from your high horse. I wouldnt want you to hurt your holiness.:)

it wasn't that long ago when conservative wisdom was that undermining the authority of the POTUS was decidedly unpatriotic, damaging to the country, and the cause of 'tearing the country apart'

remember?
in "the good old days" and the "great" America that the RNC wants us to get back to, it was unthinkable to publicly denounce the nation's leader, much less to declare 'he's not my president' or refuse to complete ones sworn military service out of blatant disrespect for the commander in chief.

1) “You don’t criticize the Commander-in-Chief in the middle of a firefight. That could be construed as putting U.S. forces in jeopardy and undermining morale.”
—Bill O’Reilly, 4/2004
2) “I’ve held this in long enough. I really suspect that these liberal tactics are damaging, maybe even killing the morale of our troops.”
Rush Limbaugh, 6/14/07
3) “The only ideas that they espouse are ways to undermine the troops in harm’s way and undermine their Commander-in-Chief while they’re at war. Your candidates have no idea how to keep this economy strong.”
—Sean Hannity, 10/18/06
4) “He’s the Commander-in-Chief. And what I find frankly repugnant about you and some of your fellow Democrats – you have undermined our president…”
—Sean Hannity, 03/19/06
5) “You know, Norman, those comments while we are at war, while troops are in harm’s way, while he is the Commander-in-Chief, do you not see the outrage in that?”
—Sean Hannity, 11/12/07
6) “I have had it with members of your party undermining our troops, undermining a Commander-in-Chief while we are at war…”
—Sean Hannity, 11/05
7) “Can we do it without distorting their legacies and pandering to anti-American elites worldwide and using their deaths to embarrass and undermine our commander-in-chief?”
—Michelle Malkin, 11/23/05
8) “On the other hand, if Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat Congress are successful in undermining the Commander-in-Chief (thereby emboldening the terrorists to kill more Americans in Iraq)…”
—Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, 04/11/07
9) “And furthermore, one of the fundamental principles we have in America is that the president is the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces and attempts to undermine the Commander-in-Chief during time of war amounts to treason.”
—Pat Robertson, 12/07/05
10) “While young Americans are dying in the sands of Iraq and the mountains of Afghanistan, our nation is being torn apart and made weaker because of the Democrats’ manic obsession to bring down our Commander-in-Chief.”
—Zell Miller, Republican National Convention, 9/01/04
11) “Through their relentless, vicious attacks on Bush, they systematically undermined the public’s confidence in the war and our ability to optimally wage it.”
—Conservative Columnist David Limbaugh

GOD looks at the heart.

IF I prayed to GOD for Obama and then got up and talked negative about Obama,I would feel the next time I prayed for Obama,GOD would be saying "yea right".

That's why I pray to God for Him to work His will in Obama's life............When God works His will in a persons life, that person may well be in for a rude awakening, and the experience may be less than wonderful for them. But, if they recognize God, confess, and turn to God, the result WILL BE WONDERFUL.

Jesus told us to love our enemies and pray for our leaders, He didn't say we had to agree in lock step with them, OR fellowship with them.

Let's see. This country voted insanely in 2008 and 2012 (especially 2012). You'd think it would learn a lesson.
Now in 2016 we face an entrenched media inculcated with political correctness, a generation of Millennials, a disdain for authority...i just don't think it's an automatic ticket for Jan 2017 to see your man being sworn in. This country may be too far down the river already to recover...at least this round.
Well first lets examine what you are saying because McCain and Romney were not any better of choices, especially not Romney.

The only people that would have benefited under Romney's polices that he put forward were those who make over $150,000 a year. Everybody else especially the middle to lower class would have struggled more under him, so to say or make it out that Romney was a much better choice you would have to be financially well off or rich.

Are you either of those crossnote ???

The election this year is not looking much better either on the choices, as the front runners Hilary and Trump are not any better and would piss a lot of people off. Hilary has to many issues and Trump's ego will piss even more people off at the U.S.

If Jeb Bush gets the nod then we really are in trouble, another Bush after the first two helped to destroy the economy. People would be blind to elect another !!!

There is a guy names James Bailey and he has a site on the end times. On Aug. 16, 2015 at 11:12AM he posted"

"Obama will not be leaving office in 2017. The 2018 election will be cancelled under the pretense of postponing it. He is the final U.S. Presidnet and he is the antichrist. There are many antichrist prophecies yet ot be fulfilled, but all will be in the years ahead."

I'm looking forward to seeing if his prediction about the election comes true.

Well, the fact that he said obama is the antichrist demonstrates to me that he is lacking in his understanding of prophecy. I dont think I would give this persons opinions a second thought. Just sayin

I got too excited, too emotional, too angry. I should not have called names, should not have called anyone idiot or ignorant, or rednecks. I am from the south too, my parents are from the south, I live in Florida we have a lot of people from the north, people from all over the world live here. I was rude and disrespectful, for that I apologize. The south is nice. I have been to Charleston, where my Dad was born and grew up, it has some pollution, but I like the beautiful old buildings, and when I went there my mom and aunts and sister would go shopping at the old market. I like the Appalachian mountains where the country is so beautiful. I do some painting and I've painted southern belles in a southern garden, I'd like to paint the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky mountains.

Perhaps I am more interested by my Dad in politics. My mom is not that interested. I don't know who to vote for. All politicians are rich. The politicians cannot please everyone, so they pick a group of people they like, a large group who will vote for and support them, and they cater to this group and get this group to vote for them, like the "evangelicals" or "liberals" The problem is I don't belong anywhere. I am not sure about Obama mocking Jesus Christ and the bible. He is a bad singer and should have left it up to the professionals to sing praise songs.

Perhaps he approves of other religions because he is trying to please everybody? The gay thing because he feels sorry for gays and it is becoming popular? I know Christians should not do what's popular but what God tells us in the Bible that is right. I like Obamacare, health care for all Americans, especially poor people who cannot usually afford to see a doctor, children, the elderly and homeless, is a good idea. The USA also needs to improve our schools. I have no idea how to do that.

I am against abortion, it is evil and cruel. But there might be drastic circumstances when it could be necessary. If a young girl at the age of 12, 13 or 14 gets pregnant, she should be able to have an abortion, for a girl that age to give birth could put her life in danger. If the mother is sick, her life is in danger, she could have the option of abortion. In cases or rape or incest, abortion could be an option too. If the baby is not doing well and will be a water head baby , severely deformed and die within minutes of being out of the womb, maybe abortion could be an option too. In cases of selfish, frivolous abortion, the woman should not be allowed, if she became pregnant through her own sin.

I am not a far left liberal or a far right conservative. I am a moderate. To go to extremes on either side is bad and foolish. Be reasonable. I am not sure who to vote for in this coming election. I will look into it.

Thank you,I appreciate that a lot. Ive been to Destin Fla. and around that area. Very beautiful. Im originally from Atlantic Canada so Ive never seen waters so blue as Destin.

Quote "

That was the biggest turn off from me.When I heard him do that I just knew he wasn't a Christian as he claimed to be. I actually like Gov. Huckabee but he doesn't seem to be getting the support just now. It really is hard to know who to vote for. I'd just say pray about it.

The cases for abortion due to rape, incest or medical issues is very low, 3%. Imagine if the abortion rate was 3%. I dont agree with abortion at all.But even if you allowed for those cases there would be almost no abortion.
t give it
I agree you cant be a nut for either far left or right.God gave us a brain and expects us to use it. Just give it prayerful consideration.God never leads in the wrong direction.

God laid two verses on my heart today. I believe that these words are the key to the future of our country.

Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

2Ch_7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
