I agree. We should always ask ourselves what it is within us, that caused us to feel a certain way when we experience something. However, I really don't like name calling. It is a form of abuse that's intent is to degrade someone else or to strip their humanity from them. We need to be mindful that we are no better and no worse than another person and have our own shortcomings and pitfalls.
I posted the name of person who wrote the article. I didnt name call anyone. I have said her words are colorful. I do think she has made an observation that many who are older tend to agree with. To say its to degrade is just what the PC crowd would say. A duck is still a duck:)

I don't believe anybody should be labeled godless before the good Lord has examined their hearts. That is not to us.

Its an article.

You know theres an old saying that goes something like this: You cant control what another person says but you can control your reaction to it. When you find yourself getting offended, it isnt the one who offended you whom you should examine but it is YOU that needs to look at YOU.
Yes I understand now that is an article (I didn't see the link intially but will check it out) however if you were a millennial and you read that title how would you not say that it's a very broad phrase to say "dear millennial" without some type of qualifier such as "dear millennials: Some of you love socialism...." to paint brush every millennial as a socialist is wrong. It is a trend the idiots in the media catering to sanders love to say "oh millenials love bernie" well this one (me) does not. No ill feelings towards you :) Just try to read the title of the OP and put your age group/name of decade in place of millennials...it sounds too broad like every millennial is a socialist which again is not true. That's all I'm saying :)

If it walks and talks like a duck its pretty safe to say its a duck.

Those who proclaim their godlessness are indeed godless.

Dear republicans, if you would put some more social stuff in people wouldn't have to vote for a socialist.

When someone has a wound we don't get out a hammer and pulverize it. We perform triage on it. I find it far more effective to think of interaction with people to be like siphoning gas. You dont blow into the hose....you draw it out.

I don't get this rant. I don't know anybody like that. I've been paying my own bills ever since I was 18. I've married, been working, raising kids, finished university and yet older folks are talking about spoiled millennials...good grief...
CLEARLY you are a "spoiled millennial"! You have money to pay YOUR OWN bills.......how spoiled is that? Using your money to pay your bills and not the bills of others. You got married........!!! Egad! Spoiled rotten! Raising kids? A serious intervention is awaiting you. Daring to actually raise your OWN kids. Finished your educational goals? Spoiled, spoiled, spoiled millennial selfish brat! Shame on you!

What next? Gonna claim to believe in God and Family Values?

Can't speak for coby2, however, I also believe the Republican Party suffers because they do not address/pay attention to the various Social Issues that face our Nation.

1) The Homeless.
2) Veterans.
3) The Mentally Ill.
4) The Poor.
5) In Country Illegals.
6) Public Education System.
7) Health Care.
8) Abortion.
9) Church v. State.
10) Drug Legalization/Abuse.

(these are some of the issues that the Republican Party does not address in any viable way in my opinion.

:)

I don't blame the millennial generation when the disregard for God started fifty years or more ago. America cannot be great apart from God.

I agree no politicians will save America if it continues showing a fist to God with all this pro-homo stuff lately....we can only pray for repentance and prepare ourselves spiritually.....

Healthcare for everyone, money for people who can't work, that people don't become homeless when they loose their job etc. Not abortion, anti Israel, drug legalisation and all that evil stuff. Now you have to choose between two evils. It's either the 'christian' party that doesn't care about the poor or the socialists who are social but have all that other evil stuff.

They don't care about abortian and drug legalization? Sounds like the right 'christian' party we have here. We have one that has all of this, but that one is very small, not much christians here yet.

Dear Millennials: Your Love of Socialism Could be America’s Downfall…

Courtney Kirchoff Thursday March 31 2016

Dear young adults in figurative diapers,
Being an adult can be a major drag. We have to get jobs. Pay bills. Pay taxes. Make our own appointments. Go to bed early so we can get up early and shuffle on to work the next morning so we can pay for all the stuff we need to continue working. Also the refrigerator doesn’t magically fill itself. Someone should tell Whirlpool about that. Have you noticed that in order for food to be prepared… you have to prepare it? Ridiculous. I’m calling my mom.

Dear Millennials: Your Love of Socialism Could be America's Downfall...

My teens and early twenties coincided with the 1960s. During that period I had extreme left wing beliefs. I protested about Vietnam, had a Che Guevara Poster on my bedroom wall and owned an English translation of the thoughts of Chairman Mao. I am no longer that person. As we go through life and gain experience our view of the world undergoes many changes. One thing we should all avoid is to steriotype a certain age group. We are all individuals but at different stages in lifes journey.

If you want to increase jobs, which will increase consumers and help the economy:

1. Lower taxes for companies.
2. Eliminate the freebies companies have to give out to their current employees.
3. Make it more economical for companies to hire on new employees rather than increase their current employees' overtime. This could be done by increasing overtime to 2-3x regular pay instead of the current time-and-a-half.

As an optional one when companies start lowering the minimum amount of pay they pay their employees in response to point #3, you could do the following:

1. Increase minimum wage.
2. Reduce the gap between their highest paid employees and their lowest paid employees.

A code word for free, I deserve it, you pay for it, stuff.
Take it from those who work for it and give it to those who will not work or learn a trade to better them selves.

How will this help?
If my productivity is 2 or 3 times that of others, shouldn't I be paid 2 or 3 times that of others?
If not, why should I continue to work so hard. Maby I will just work at the rate I am paid.

1. General Electric paid no taxes. Many oil companies pay little or no taxes. The list goes on. A fair tax with no loop holes is far more appropriate. Also a more liberal use of import tariffs on foreign products that are also made in the US.

2. This is called creative salaries. They are given out as bonuses that minimize taxes on the employee. A fair tax for employees with no loopholes will solve this problem. It would also do a lot to ensure that the highest income people actually pay their "fair share"

3. Replace Obamacare with a single payer Healthcare system will do much more than changing overtime rules. Overtime exception rules need to be overhauled. Far too many people are excepted from overtime.

Option 1. A minimum wage indexed to inflation is appropriate. States should have the freedom increase their rates.

Option 2. Allow employees to sue company leadership when the leadership runs the company into the ground.

I would add a point 4. Tax all assets transferred overseas at 75%, and tax companies who move a plant overseas at 75%.
