Dear Millennials: Your Love of Socialism Could be America’s Downfall…

Courtney Kirchoff Thursday March 31 2016

Dear young adults in figurative diapers,
Being an adult can be a major drag. We have to get jobs. Pay bills. Pay taxes. Make our own appointments. Go to bed early so we can get up early and shuffle on to work the next morning so we can pay for all the stuff we need to continue working. Also the refrigerator doesn’t magically fill itself. Someone should tell Whirlpool about that. Have you noticed that in order for food to be prepared… you have to prepare it? Ridiculous. I’m calling my mom.

Still even if young people are confused with socialism.....they shouldn't be derided as imbeciles there is a way to disagree without name-calling of which some older posters could learn about.....

I don't think this person would like to be called a diaper wearing old person just b/c of their beliefs...

Well if the diaper fits... older people voted Obama in too. I think you understand who is being talked about though. The OP didn't call anyone names and wasn't talking about you.

Yea but could have been worded way better like "dear millennials who love socialism..."instead of seemingly lumping all millennials together...which you can derive from the title.

Go easy, my Brother. The OP knows full well there are people in your generation like you that have integrity. In fact, when the torch is passed, it will be up to you and your generational brethren to be the guardians of us all. The problem is, you're going to be undermined by more socialist idiots than we already have at this point in time. You and the OP are in solidarity, she's just sharing things from a different perspective. And with that, I say that I'm very honored, proud and thankful to call you Brother.

Us old folks are responsible for doing too much for our kids. We send them off to college unprepared to defend themselves from the wolves that await them. Under the guise of higher thinking they have been indoctrinated to believe that the government owes them something. It started at home where we gave them everything we did not have in our homes growing up.

By trying to make life easier for our kids we have saddled them with a heavy burden. The burden of dependency upon someone other than themselves. If we failed to teach them dependency upon Christ in a real sense we have totally failed and only God's great mercy can remedy the situation.

An old Baptist Evangelist who is now home with the Lord once said that if you chuck a stone into a pack of hounds the one that yelps is the one that got hit.

Curious isn't it how we are so quick to say not me Lord. It's the other guy.

For the cause of Christ

Thanks Utah, you're my Brother as well, unfortunately I think people who are anti-socialism like me are going to be fading out as time progresses more people become stupefied to accept the status quo and wanting everything free....socialism is never free....you should see the atrocious living conditions in venezuela (extreme socialism)...

I watched this video and was horrified....this is what is coming to America if they vote in a guy like Bernie Sanders or even Clinton, social welfare programs always fail and even basic utilities are cut off.....if anyone is voting for Bernie I do not condemn you but you should watch this video to consider if this may be the end game sanders wants.....they literally need a bookbag of cash just to eat 1 meal at a restaurant b/c of the massive inflation and 92% currency devaluation....highly recommend to watch....it won't be reported in MSM but it is sad reality over in Venezuela.

I'm glad there are people like you who can see the good in others. I'm one of the people who talks down to younger folks because I don't respect them. They've done nothing to earn it. It's nice though that you can see the good in the younger generation and that you have faith in their ability to be the guardians of all of us older folks.

I don't get this rant. I don't know anybody like that. I've been paying my own bills ever since I was 18. I've married, been working, raising kids, finished university and yet older folks are talking about spoiled millennials...good grief...

Thank you for your kind words, Grumps. I have this bad habit of speaking my mind, but I also share praises as well, and believe it or not, I'm always open to correction when its valid. I'm very glad you're part of this family. I like what you bring to the table and look forward to sharing and learning from you. As far as young folks go, there are a few here on CC that bring me great joy because they love the Lord with all their heart and their integrity is rock solid. Brother Ultimatum77 is one such person. Be blessed, Brother Grumps! And thanks for sharing!

Thanks Kaylagrl. I posted it for those who are voting for Sanders. Although I think the writer of the article was quite colorful in her wording,I think she hit the nail on the head.

Its an article.

You know theres an old saying that goes something like this: You cant control what another person says but you can control your reaction to it. When you find yourself getting offended, it isnt the one who offended you whom you should examine but it is YOU that needs to look at YOU.

I agree. We should always ask ourselves what it is within us, that caused us to feel a certain way when we experience something. However, I really don't like name calling. It is a form of abuse that's intent is to degrade someone else or to strip their humanity from them. We need to be mindful that we are no better and no worse than another person and have our own shortcomings and pitfalls.
