I agree with #1. I think it could hurt military morale in the end...
As far as #2, I don't mean a parade for the purpose of boasting but more for bringing it to the attention of people who spend their whole lives in coffee shops, night clubs, yoga classes, and their iphone apps and who try as hard as they can to block out the rest of the world that isn't so attractive and easy and nice.

The term "fascist" comes from a political movement that started in 19th century Italy called Fascio and evolved into the Fasci movement in the early 20th century. They were opposed to liberalism, marxism and democracy in general. They were highly nationalistic and believed that society should be led by a strong authoritarian leader. They also opposed women in the workforce, any kind of immigration and were quite racist. They wanted a one party, totalitarian state, supported capitalism but opposed international trade.
Besides all that, the authoritarian, nationalistic mindset that is the backbone of fascism is hardly a new concept and has been around since there was power to be had.
How you can extrapolate that to mean they started as a "liberal" movement is beyond me. Please have a go as squaring that circle for me.

This country has proven itself time, and time, and time again it can take the fight to anyone when provoked....but remember, we're such a blessed nation still under the protection of our Lord....and Trump stands and fights for the nation of Israel.......we all know what happened to every civilization and nation that stood and fought and enslaved Israel.....so say what you want about Trump, complain if you will, but as long as he stands beside Israel, I'll stand beside him.
Just think of all the better things we can do with the millions (why does it cost millions to put on a parade anyway?) of dollars trump (really we) would spend on this show of power when the world knows how powerful we are anyway.
