again with the establishment of [the treaty of rome], E.C.C. has became [the roman empire] again today
Fine, you want to believe that, feel free. That it isn't true apparently won't serve to phase you.

The old Roman Empire is not antichrist's nation. Islam is.

The "bomb throwers" of Islam are not the aberration, but the root. That is, the bomb throwers are the evidence that evil is present in Islam, all of which can be directly traced to the teachings of the Qur'an.

Islam fulfills every antichrist identifier the New Testament describes. Each one of them is present in the Qur'an or Hadith, Islam's holy sources.

Since its inception in the 7th century AD, Islam has waged holy war, jihad, against anyone who stood in its way. This type of war, i.e., spiritual war, is described throughout the pages of prophetic scripture. The 4th part of King Nebuchadnezzar's statue wages war against the kingdom of God. The 4th beast of Daniel 7 wages war against the saints of God. The great red dragon (the devil) in Revelation 12 wages war against Jews and Christians.

The scarlet beast of Revelation 17:14 does likewise, and the harlot that rides the scarlet beast is "drunk with the blood of the saints" (Rev 17:6). All of these wars are spiritual in nature-- not political. Spiritual wars are fought among demons and angels, the lost and the saints. That depicts Islam vs. Christianity, Satan vs. God, not a war within the body of believers, which is where the advocates of Rome as the seat of antichrist go completely off track.

Each part of the statue represents a kingdom that will conquer. The kingdom that matters the most to those of the present day? The feet. God's judgment begins with the feet of the statue. Iron and clay do not mix very well. The weakness of the iron kingdom is revealed. It will be a divided kingdom. Islam is a divided kingdom -- ever since the death of Muhammad in 632 AD. We see the division clearly defined today.

Many who study "last things" (eschatology) believe that in the Last Days a "revived Roman Empire" will rise up to fulfill many of the Bible's prophecies on the end times. The modern-day European Union is offered as the likely candidate for a future fulfillment of these prophecies. Rome is certainly a part of Last Days; just not where many believe it to be!

Daniel 2:41 states that the final empire at enmity with God will be a “divided empire.” The EU is not a divided empire, but an organization of independent countries seeking to empower the whole through their unification. The EU is an economic and political union of countries that has chosen to combine with one another to gain a singular strength through their combination. Decision-making is “delegated” to member states so that decisions made benefit the whole, rather than individual members. This is the opposite of the characteristic of Daniel 2:41.

It seems that whatever happens in Europe is a sign of "roman empire" for you :)
But what is your point? I live here in EU, so I would like to know :D

Hi folks it's been a while since I was on here so I haven't read everything that has been posted
for the last two months.

Just curious - but i wondered what you all thought of the Syrian refugees pouring into Europe currently.
or maybe this has been convered on other threads already.

Its interesting that Germany seems to be the country at the forefront of opening their doors to the refugees.
I suspect that a culture has arisen in Germany over the decades of wanting to make restitution somehow for
the Holocaust. I was watching a programme a while back about the way Germany is very keen to
teach tolerance in schools of other nations and cultures as a back lash to the Holocaust.

I also have a few German friends who seem to think the Syrian refugee crisis is a way of
showing the world they are a different nation to that depicted in history. Of course it could just be
the correct response to a humanitarian crisis and shame on the rest of us!

But anyhow I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this lead that the Germans are taking
and how this might fit into world events. Or maybe it is was it is, a nation having compassion on
another nation.

You can see from the map that most of Europe was not part of the Roman Empire. To say that the European Union is a revival of it just isn't true. A large part of the original empire covered areas that the Bible speaks about again and again. I just canr understand why this is ignored by almost everyone who talks about this subject. The last Empire will cover the Middle East area. This is the area where all the Empires that occupied Israel covered. Instead of looking at the EU the Arab League should be given some attention.

From what I see from the News its mainly Angela Merkle who wants immigrants in Germany. One report said that East Germany has an aging population and the idea is to re populate it with immigrants. My view is that it is a recipe for disaster. There is already tension between Germans and Turkish immigrants and the far right is reaping the political benefits, just as Hitler did.

Angela Merkel isn't the only German who supports immigration. A vast majority of the younger generations in Germany are fiscally and socially left, and support immigration, too. Germany, under Merkel, has the highest employment rate in Europe, the best economy in Europe if you look at it per capita, and has arguably the strongest political position in Europe. Merkel isn't far right. She's on the centre right of the spectrum economically in European terms (which is centre leftist in American terms), and she's centre-left socially and environmentally. She's for immigration, believes in welfare and universal health care, and regularly champions negotiations to secure other nations their sovereign and democratic rights (take Ukraine, recently, for instance). She comes from a staunchly democratic party and doesn't have imperialistic motivations. By contrast, the far right in Germany are the fascists, to whom UKIP and the BNP, EDL and other European far-right parties hold clear links -- they're anti-immigration, fairly anti-welfare in comparison to most Britons and Europeans, and sit firmly on the conservative end of social policies, plus they're fiercely nationalistic.

If anything, Hitler was more like Farage than Merkel. He was against immigration; he believed that only pure German citizens should be considered genuine human beings and be treated as full citizens, and he was fiercely anti-Marxist. While Angel Merkel is for immigration and welcomes people of all stripes and colours in her country, and also adopts some socialistic policies. She's created an economy for Germany that is the 4th highest economy in the world, and here's a fun fact: she's also the leader of the Christian Democratic Union, and a Christian herself.

As far as I can see the EU is only equated with the Antichrists Empire because the Treaty of Rome was signed in Rome and because of the belief that the Pope is Antichrist. Only one of these statements are factual. One may as well believe that the USA
is the Empire and Obama is the Antichrist Oh wait a minute some already believe that anyway

Thy crowned are as the locusts, says the bible
[Winston Churchill called the Germans and their military machine ‘the locusts’],

and thy captains as the great grasshoppers,
which camp in the hedges in the cold day,but when the sun ariseth they flee away,
and their place is not known where they are.” they hid only to return.

the Nazis idea just went underground and disappeared like grasshoppers in wintertime.

-“They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their
dignity shall proceed of themselves.” Habakkuk 1:7 (KJV)

-November 9, 1989, the Berlin Wall fell , east west are joined again.

Anciently, the Roman Empire was divided into two regions.
Rome was the capital in the west, Constantinople in the east.
the image of Daniel 2 refers to the two legs of iron being the Roman Empire

-In 1991, Mark Aarons and John Loftus released a book titled
Unholy Trinity, which told the story of how Vatican-sponsored underground
networks illegally smuggled Nazi leaders out of the country after the war.

-we should note that throughout the Middle Ages, many scholars, theologians,
even popes, knew the Roman Empire was the fourth world-ruling kingdom.

Many of them even identified this fourth kingdom with the one Daniel spoke of.

That’s why Europeans and Catholics kept trying to revive the empire.

-in the 13th century, a man named Jordan of Osnabrueck wrote a book
about how the Roman Empire was transferred into the hand of the Germans.

when Charlemagne was crowned, the pope called him emperor of the fourth world empire.
Approximately 40 million people were butchered during the so-called Holy Inquisition

The spirit of Charlemagne has returned. This past king who ruled the First
Reich waded through a “sea of blood” to achieve his goal of ruling Europe.

-Many Catholics today don’t like to admit Hitler’s connection with Catholicism
Bernard Connolly wrote a bombshell book in 1995 titled The Rotten Heart of Europe

-In 1996, a shocking World War 2 intelligence document made public,
detailing an August 1944 meeting between top German industrialists,
reveals a secret postwar plan to restore the Nazis to power. Several of
Germany’s elite industries were represented, including Messerschmitt
and Volkswagenwerks. These companies, the document asserts, were to “prepare
themselves to finance the Nazi Party which would be forced to go underground.”

the U.S. government did not make it public until 1996—over 50 years later!

-in 1997, Martin Lee, in his fascinating book, The Beast Reawakens,
revealed that “there had never really been a clean break from the Nazi
past, given that the original leadership of the West German Bundeswehr
was recruited directly from the upper echelons of Hitler’s army.

Only 3 out of 217 Bundeswehr generals in 1976 were not Third Reich veterans,
and 37 military bases in the Bonn Republic were named after soldiers who
made their reputations during the Hitler years.”

-Margaret Thatcher, former British prime minister, said this about the
European Union in October 1995: “You have not anchored Germany to Europe;

you have anchored Europe to a newly dominant, unified Germany.
In the end, my friends, you’ll find it will not work.”

well, I'll go with Scripture and not conjecture...

Daniel 9:26-27 KJV
[26] And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. [27] And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

TYing verse 26 with 27 we see that it was the Romans (people of the prince that shall come) that sacked Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple in 70AD, so the prince of that people (Roman) shall make a covenant for 7 years and break it midway.
It hardly appears to be Obama or even an Arab.

This is 21st-century Europe: disordered, disunited and, increasingly, despondent.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_of_Europe

United States of Europe, European state,[1][2] European federation, and Federal Europe are names used to refer to several similar [hypothetical] scenarios of the unification of Europe as a single sovereign federation of states, similar to the United States of America, both as projected by writers of speculative fiction and science fiction, and by political scientists, politicians, geographers, historians, and futurologists. At present, while the European Union is not officially a federation, various academic observers regard it as having the characteristics of a federal system.[3]

the term United States of Europe—as a direct comparison with the United States of America—would imply that all the European states would be reduced to a status equivalent to that of a US state, losing their national sovereignty in the process and becoming constituent parts of a European federation

The European Union is dying—slowly, painfully and publicly.

The hope of European countries forming a united, stable, democratic,
geopolitically consequential entity is vanishing. The goal of European integration,
noble as it may be, is doomed. The future of global politics and power,
many believe, belongs to the likes of China, Russia, Iran and
the United States. The EU, assuming it can survive the current
crisis, is destined to remain, at best, a secondary power.

Brendan Simms is a historian and a professor of history at
Cambridge University. In 2013, he wrote an article in the New
York Times titled “The Ghosts of Europe’s Past.”

“The cheerleaders of the European Union like to think of it as
an entirely new phenomenon, born of the horrors of two world wars,” he
wrote. “But in fact it closely resembles a formation that many
Europeans thought they had long since left to the dustbin of
history: the Holy Roman Empire ….”

The first character of Revelation 17 is the “whore” or “woman,”
which in biblical language represents a religion, or church
(e.g.Ephesians 5; 2 -Corinthians 11:2).

The second is the beast that has seven heads and 10 horns.

The third is the “saints” or “martyrs,”
a group of people the “woman” lives to persecute and destroy.

God prophesies that this woman, or church, would have an international presence,
and would come to possess incredible wealth:

“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour,
and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls

She is conspicuously wealthy, overflowing with material splendor.
She is a famous religion known and revered by people across the planet
(see also verses 2 and 15 and Revelation 18:3).

The Roman Catholic Church is the most recognizable
and illustrious religion on Earth. Worldwide, it has more than
1.2 billion followers, roughly 400,000 priests and some 221,000
parishes. Catholicism has a presence on every continent and in every nation.

More than 5 million tourists flock to Vatican City annually.
They visit to admire Michelangelo’s legendary frescoes, to
attend mass in the Sistine Chapel, and in the hope of catching
a glimpse of the most venerated figure on the planet: the pope.

The Catholic religion is the most famous Christian religion
on Earth, yet it is shrouded in mystery and bloodshed

The Catholic Church teaches that it is the one true church founded by Jesus Christ

The Church maintains that the doctrine on faith and morals that it declares
as definitive is infallible.

the Catholic Church is the largest non-government provider of education
and medical services in the world

Catholic belief holds that the Church "is the continuing presence of Jesus on earth"
and that it alone possesses the full means of salvation

The church, in fact, has built Western civilization”

(How the Catholic Church Built Western Civilization)
a book by Tom Woods explores the reasons why we are all,
as a civilization, deeply indebted to the Catholic Church.

It is inaccurate to imply that the Catholic Church is solely
responsible for building Western civilization. The influence
of English-speaking civilization, which had a distinct antipopish,
anti-Catholic identity, is responsible as much as if not
more than the Catholic Church. But Woods’s fundamental
point is correct.

Catholic leadership and teaching has had
a decisive and far-reaching influence on Western religion,
politics, culture, science and education, often in ways most
people fail to recognize.

The Vatican has presided over the rise and fall of kings
and governments, the emergence of political and ideological
movements, and the discovery and colonization of new lands
and peoples. The Catholic religion has influenced every facet
of Western society, from art and music to science to the
measurement of time to the annual holidays we celebrate.

Its influence over Europe is even more extensive: It has shaped
Europe’s justice systems, its educational institutions, many of
its most prominent cities, its economies and even agriculture.
When it comes to religion, about every Christian denomination—
can directly or indirectly trace its lineage back to
Roman Catholicism.

The Roman Catholic Church is the most defining and influential
institution in Europe’s history—yet somehow it remains a total mystery!

“The [European] Community is living largely
by the heritage of the Holy Roman Empire,
though the great majority of the people who live
by it don’t know by what heritage they live.”
—Otto von Habsburg--a descendant of that famous line of European royalty

Among historians, it is generally accepted that the Holy
Roman Empire was the cyclical reincarnation of the ancient
Roman Empire, presided over in each instance by the Catholic
Church. Oxford Dictionary defines it as the “empire set up in
Western Europe following the coronation of Charlemagne
as emperor in the year 800. It was created by the medieval
papacy in an attempt to unite Christendom under one rule.”

The founders of the EU, and many European leaders today,
readily acknowledge that the supreme goal of the European
Union is to live “by the heritage of the Holy Roman Empire.”
European politicians regularly declare their admiration for
Charlemagne and publicly admit that they seek to create a
united Europe that “embodies the tradition of Charlemagne.”

What is the “heritage of the Holy Roman Empire”? Who
was Charlemagne? What is the “tradition of Charlemagne”?

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast:
and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast?

who is able to [make war] with him?

the 4th beast was rome,
roman kingdom was the biggest [war machine] the world had seen.

had all the traits of the other 3 beast kingdoms combined.
