You know how to use your ignore function right?
Good thing you're nod God and don't have a heaven or hell to put me in.
What's wrong with appreciating an act of kindnes

1. If it was really such a great "act of kindness", and so "selfless"... uhhh... they probably wouldn't have invited the press to capture all the great photo ops.

2. There are ALL VARIETIES of PEOPLE WITH MISFORTUNES they COULD HAVE visited. But they singled out THIS DESTINATION INSTEAD OF OTHERS... clearly making their little political statement for the holidays.
It was not a "random act of kindness" by 2 celebrities... it was a PLANNED MEDIA PHOTO OP, to PUSH A PARTICULAR POLITICAL AGENDA.

Do you think people can't see through these old, tired, worn-out ploys to get media attention for an agenda?

This silliness doesn't fool anyone.

I mean, Madonna already promised oral sex to anyone who voted for Hillary.
Surely she's not some kind of NUT who will do ANYTHING to push a political agenda?

3. You ALSO failed to broach this topic without an agenda.... you used this as a vector to start a debate on the LGBTQ topic... which you clearly DID right in your opening post.
You posted the link with your own special commentary... to catapult it into a discussion on how YOU FEEL the LGBTQ teens are mistreated by their families... which you haven't shown any evidence to support.

4. As far as my "ignore function", I have no intention of ignoring you... I intend to point out your liberal political, and anti-biblical biases, so we can all discuss them.
I think that is a fair and reasonable thing to do on a Christian forum.

5. As far as me wanting to put you in hell... uhhh... that sounds like a typical liberal, making things up out of thin air, and trying to play the victim card when they get called out on something.
Calling you out on something doesn't mean I want to harm you.
Calling you out on something doesn't mean I HAVE harmed you.

You don't get to act like a victim, and act like I'm a MEANIE PANTS, and I want to harm you, just because I disagree with something you've said.

If you're going to dish out debate, argumentation, and controversial issues....
then you don't get to be a victim when someone disagrees with you.

When people reject God's Word and insist on living a sinful lifestyle they should be ready to accept the consequences.

I will pray for their soul, but I have no obligation to help them with their physical needs.

Wow, that is going to take so much time!

I have a GREAT idea.

How about YOU make a list of all the unbiblical things you've said...
and I'll just initial them.

:)

You made the accusation. The burden of proof is on you.

I don't know why this is news?
I just thought it was a nice gesture. If the statistic is indeed true, then perhaps this issue should be adressed.

I agree when people are reluctant to jump into things without hearing the other side of the story, but there's really no other side to reaching out to people living in misery. If there's a lot of homeless LGBT's, that is a problem, not only to them but to society as well.

As for parents rejecting their own kids because they are LGBT, that is a disgrace. If that is true, and we have every reason to believe it is, to some extent, unfortunately, that says alot about ourselves.

Now, I don't know how old these kids are, maybe they are not even minors, or if their might be additional issues here, but if the reason for tossing somebody out is solely due to them being LGBT's, that is all wrong in my opinion.

My father-in-law was fond of saying: "There's your side of the story, his side of it... and then there's the truth."
Maybe what's needed in the case of this LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ story is Paul Harvey?

Yikes! I didn't think so many people would have an issue with someone visiting the poor/needy.

I'm pretty sure they are just as much children of God as we are. I'm pretty sure their being homosexual doesn't make visiting/helping homeless children a disservice to God. As for the discussion of why the children are homeless... I would think it's a safe assumption that some families kick their gay children out (I know several from personal experience) and some willingly leave. The point I got from this thread is that a couple celebrities went to serve on Thanksgiving Day. I applaud that... I was too busy/selfish watching the Cowboys win and eating until I wanted to puke.

As for it not being news worthy, what qualifies something as being "worthy"? I've seen some pretty ridiculous threads made... I'm not a moderator; I don't try to close them down... I simply refuse to add to the alleged "unworthy" news thread.

I doubt these are minor children because if that were true the parents would be arrested.
It is against the law for parents to abandon minor children.

Yikes! You must not know much about Dude here on the forums : p

Is this really news? No : p This is once again Dude shaming the Christian community for "being so hateful" as to stand in the fact that homosexuality is wrong and will lead many people to death, while putting himself on a righteous, loving, better than you bigots pedestal. Dude comes here often to tell us "we need to be more loving with homosexuals" in threads that discuss topics such as celebrities and politicians telling the world that homosexuality is okay and that no one should say its wrong.

He calls himself a Christian but does not stand for the Word of God, that the sexually immoral will not be saved and must repent. He is much more interested in being loved by the world than by God, goes on about "this is why people hate Christians", somehow completely forgetting that we have been told that we are hated for His namesake, because we do not rejoice in what the world does.

Plz learn a bit about the forums and its members before coming here to shame others for having an issue with a member.

Did you feel I was shaming you?

I wasn't defending Dude or shaming him or anyone else for that matter. He posted a story of celebrities who were visiting homeless kids... As for his opinion that it may or may not be because of Christians... I don't really care what he thinks (no offense Dude). I'd rather focus on the story than his opinion as the story is what made the news, not his opinion.

As for shaming anyone else... How? Can you give me an example of how I shamed you or anyone else in the post you quoted? I do what everyone does on these forums and express my personal belief on the topic, even if it has nothing to do with the OP. I didn't call anyone out personally, say "How dare you" but responded substantively to the things I objected to and explained why.

Edit: the only person I shamed in the post you quoted was myself... for being selfish/not tending to the needy/poor and instead ate entirely too much and watched the Cowboys continue their win streak.

By the way, fear not... I don't feel shamed that you're requesting me to "learn a bit about the forums and its members" for having an issue with Dude... Truth be told, I skipped most of Dude's posts minus the OP (no offense Dude) as my response had absolutely nothing to do with anyone's issue with him. lol

This would certainly lead people to believe that you think theyre issue is with them and being angry that someone did something nice for people of that lifestyle who are struggling over being grumpy at the OP over how and why he created this thread : p I certainly took it that way.
