How Chrissy Teigen helped save my life! And my sanity during some spiritual warfare.
Seriously, last Autumn, I had a flu that was 10 times worse than the Corona virus, by my estimates. I was homeless and camping in my car in a campground parking lot, and was very ill. I was blessed to have some cold and flu remedies and some tylenol to help with the fever. But, I would say it was one of the worst flu's of my life, and as the fever peaked, I became concerned about my life, but didn't feel strong enough to drive 20 miles to the hospital, and didn't want to call an ambulance for the flu, and didn't want to concern a few other campers late at night. So, I finally prayed and asked the Lord to help me and heal me since, even though I'm a bit older, I felt it was not my time to leave. Just as I was about to make a decision to drive to the hospital, some birds flew down out of the trees and fluttered around my car, one landing on my rear view mirror briefly. They seemed concerned because of the high fever.
After I prayed, shortly thereafter, the fever broke, and I began to feel better and knew I was going to make it. Just to be sure, I drove to the hospital the next day, I believe, and another time went to the Emergency Room. For some reason, I thought I needed to say some spiritual warfare prayers, which I am not trained to do, and were careless and not necessary for a physical illness. As I got out of my car, I heard the Lord say, "O faithless one, you almost [stranded] yourself with your own words." (word edited). This is how powerful spiritual warfare prayers are, and should be carefully used. He said this in a loving and compassionate way, to encourage my faith.
Inside the emergency room, I heard the angelic voice of a lady saying, "you're killing yourself with your diet." This was not related to the flu, but my general health. I was living in my car, and buying potato chips and clam dip because, well, I like potato chips and clam dip. And I was eating the whole bag and whole cup of clam dip. That's high carbs and high fat, and definitely not a balanced diet.
After this I began to eat healthy foods and found housing, and tried to make healthier choices.
This picture of me below in sunglasses is an example of how someone's health can recover over 50+ . It is also a gesture of solidarity with artistically done photo's. I believe that the discussion here, although it was more religious above, shows the importance of spiritual nourishment, and physical health, physical and spiritual discipline, and artistic photo's.
Don't give up! Trust in the Lord, and we can recover!
