The KKK is recruiting people in various communities in the US. Said Frank Ancona,

""We want to stay white,” Ancona said. “It's not a hateful thing to want to maintain white supremacy."

KKK Leader Disputes Hate Group Label: 'We're A Christian Organization'

Not hateful to want to maintain white supremacy? I wonder which Bible they are reading? Not any translations I know of, nor the Jesus that I follow!

“You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake!” the fliers said, according to the Chicago Tribune." REALLY??!!

Yeah I would say that to, what bible are they reading. No man is suppose to be over another, and discrimination is not Christian or biblical philosophy. It does talk about God separating us at the tower of babel, but that was only so we do not all come together in one evil accord again. The only other separation the bible speaks of with man is believers not to mingle with non-believers so as to not be swayed to turn away from God and follow their traditions.

The KKK has always labeled themselves as Christian, this is nothing new. They were founded on the principal it was a Christian organization.

The KKK are NOT genuine Christians who follow orthodox Christianity. They are a Christian Identity movement which is a racist offshoot of British Israelism.

Read this: The Christian Identity Movement | Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry

The KKK completely sucks. I had to deal with them in a neighborhood when I lived in Mississippi for a short time. They also had neo-Nazis and white power neo-pagans operating there as well. Imagine walking down the street and seeing about fifty KKK with their white power neo-pagan friends on a porch mad dogging you as you walk to the store. Yeah. Lots of fun. Not so much. They are NOT Christians and they do SUCK!!!

I wouldn't call them cowards but most are deceived by the devil and the ones that aren't are working for him imo.

KKK isn't Christian. Let not the hickkks deceive thee. If one puts aside their hatred of the KKK and studies them just a little bit its pretty apparant that these people are some occult whacko birds.

Firstly, lol white ain't even a race, white is a color lol, that's well verified and proven beyond a doubt with genetics today, and if that weren't even enough history has pretty much proven this point for thousands of years. Plus even playing into the game of race, lol what they are going to boast that being a son of Magog is better than being a son of Cush or Arphaxad? Sounds like a pretty vain boast to me.

However I mean really come on now. What sort of Christian organization wears silly robes, burns crosses, and calls themselves Wizards and Dragons?!

Sounds more like worshippers of Baal than worshippers of the LORD to me.

being born and having lived all my life in the south, I can tell you the kkk is not a Christian organization because they promote hate. now they used to, according to my grandparents, kind of be vigilante justice. but somewhere in the 60's and 70's they went to just straight up hate. slavery was wrong. the worst part of all this is they and other groups on both sides of the issues have took our beloved confederate battle flag and made it a symbol of racisim so now it is considered a bad thing to fly one.

It is downright sad to watch old southern symbols being misused by some bigoted villains.

My grandfather was a klansman. He never admitted it though. Back then you didn't tell your wife and the wife didn't question anything.
My mom told me that while they were anti black they were also a vigilante type. If a man wasn't supporting his family(of any race) they'd burn a cross in their yard as a warning. The klan originated in Pulaski TN(15 minutes from me) and a relative of mine was said to be the first grand wizard. He later left the Klan because he promoted reconciliation with the blacks. Unfortunately the klan became so widespread they couldn't contain the racism. Over the years the klan would become increasingly violent. The klan was developed under democratic veterans of the confederacy. They were white supremecists and hated republicans as much as blacks. Many prominent government officials were klansmen as well.

Margaret Sanger the founder of planned parenthood was in the woman's branch of the KKK. Harry Truman was also involved with them and many senetors as well.

And people still say America is a Christian nation...

It's also sad the people are trying to rewrite history and say the civil war was only about slavery. It wasn't. Slavery was part of it but it was about state rights and economic differences. Slavery was part of it but people fail to admit slaves willingly fought for the confederacy

Yeah from what I read, Lincoln was like any other politician. He wrapped his cause in a noble cause that he really didn't care about. Good thing the slaves were freed, but in reality. eh Lincoln. Not as noble as the history books tell us.

Exactly. Lincoln would have deported to slaves to a colony. If pretty much stated that if he could keep the Union together without freeing the slaves, he would. Like you stated perfectly Elizabeth, it was a state rights and economic issues. (gotta go back and look at the southern port cities.)

He comes very close to being a war criminal.

His general burned down an entire city, taking down private owned homes and businesses.
Lincoln shut down newspapers and imprisoned journalists.
He suspended habeas corpus.

Imagine if Obama did all of that in an attempt to "hold the union" together. The same folks who love and support Lincoln would be up in arms.

My husband said that in his father's day in North Dakota the KKK wasn't racist at all, they did a lot of good in the community. If they saw someone abusing their family, they put a stop to it using some of the clan tactics.

It would be a good idea to look at the traditions of the church we go to checking it with scripture. Scripture tells us the road is narrow to walk in the ways of the Lord. We can see how the KKK thought they were walking with God and they weren't. Could any of us be doing the same thing? I have read some very questionable ideas of what scripture says on these posts, even.

In terms of Truman's reputation as a whole, during his Presidency, he promoted integration.
