The video of what happened that night was posted to social media and went viral within an hour...
The prosecutor ought to already have known it was self defense...no escaping that whatsoever.

Even the prosecution's own self defense expert testified to that effect...

So claiming that the prosecutor hoped for a conviction is preposterous. There's no evidence that Kyle was intending or interested in killing anyone. Mr Grosskreutz however is another story. Just the opposite.
But he isn't being prosecuted for anything.

But the whole process of Kyle proving his innocence is exhausting and expensive. And it appears to me that the prosecutor wanted to punish Kyle simply by prosecuting him.... knowing he didn't have a good chance at conviction. From the onset every legal commentator stated that the prosecutor was not going to win and questioned what was the prosecutor doing by the charges brought.

Punishment by process.
Kyle is unemployed and going to remain that way.
His mother is also unemployed and going to remain that way...and it's not like they had great jobs to begin with.

A few minutes of fame that is going to destroy these people into the future...the prosecutor won and got his punishment enacted on Kyle no matter what the verdict is.

prosecutor did the best with what he had...he had nothing but a bad imagination

might be a mistrial, but I doubt that Rittenhouse wants to go through all that again
It is mob rule, if it were not for Antifa thugs, Biden, and people like Lebron James, there never would have been a trial. The video evidence was sufficient to prove to everyone that he acted in self defense.

Anybody besides me watching this?

Today the Judge blasted...I mean red faced yelling at the prosecutor in the case.

I've never seen him get this angry. Judges are kinda thick skinned...but he blasted the prosecutor hard for highjinxs.

It appears to me...that the prosecutor is punishing Kyle by the process entirely...he doesn't care if Kyle is guilty or innocent. Just Kyle having to go through the process of proving his innocence is what the prosecutor is after.

What do you think?
I think the kid is innocent, he was defending himself. When he cried on the stand yesterday, I cried with him. He's around the same age as my oldest nephew. My nephew is in ROTC and looking for a military career. He stops any time he sees anyone who has served and thanks them. He does things to help and serve the community with ROTC. He's a good kid. After all this BLM nonsense my hubby and I took my nephew and his friend ( also in ROTC) to our state capitol. All over the sidewalk was written BLM, the boys were incensed. They wanted to get something to wash it off. So my nephew reminds me of Kyle. Very sincere and a tad naive about the world should work. He would be like Kyle, trying to help save a business. He's very familiar with firearms also. I hope he wouldn't make the same mistake as Kyle, bringing a gun. But I was heartbroken for him yesterday. I hope he gets off clean and free, he only defended himself. Perhaps had more men been there to help this wouldn't have happened.

he should get off...the hypocrisy of the left is beyond anything I have ever seen, but when your father is the father of all liars....

we need to remember that the police basically had their hands tied while the activists (cough cough) did their thing

frankly, I am more concerned about the border. apparently, deSantis has clocked over 70 plane loads of illegals being dumped in FL in the dead of the night

something's gotta give as they say

@ZNP,
You are correct, the first news I heard was when it happened and it sure sounded rather radical crazy.

I haven't kept up with the case,it didn't interest me.

Thank you so very much for your kind compliment. Maybe I'll do the same for you one day.

@JohnDB ,I responded rather hastily and saw only the question about was anyone watching.

I will take my thoughts and be excused!
It's a trial that you might want to watch, it's important. MSM told one story but as the truth came out we are seeing how biased and wrong they were. The president called this young man a white supremacist, which he is far from. Just saying, you might want to give it a listen.

When you have a bit of care about the community you live in and just enjoy it and want to help it grow and be a nice place.... something beyond the consideration of your own nose... you can't help but get upset over the senseless rioting, looting, vandalism and arson.

Now some of the protesters aren't aligned so much with BLM as much as the callousness the "system" can treat people...for many there's no chance to escape a poor choice from their youth. And those charges stick with you forever like a scarlet letter....

And I can understand (I don't agree) why they can be equally upset about the callousness of the system.

And this malicious prosecutor's behavior is the problem. He has discretion as to who he prosecutes and doesn't. That same discretion was poorly used in Georgia and finally a trial is happening.

And that's, in part, why these people are rioting. When the state brands you as a "thug" regardless of the circumstances people tend to treat you that way regardless of how you really are and your behavior reflects that eventually. Which field more discontent for your community.

Now I understand that many of those rioting don't have the skills needed to voice this...nor the wherewithal to even comprehend what's happened. But I can understand why they are upset. And someone needs to stand up for their community... even the poor.

sure

the judge actively told the prosecutor to 'fly a kite', but he wasn't yelling and red-faced as op describes...he raised his voice...big difference...sorry I'm a stickler for accuracy...guess that's neither here nor there though

we know who the actual murderous thugs are ...Carlson has one of the best shows on FOX
Theres a couple of clips of this exchange. It’s up to the watcher to decide if he was yelling and upset with the prosecutor:

From what I see, I wasn't raised in America, Dems keep people poor and relying on gov't handouts. Then they are stuck, or believe they are a victim and the cycle continues. It's not easy to get out, but you can. For the blacks it began in the 50s where the gov't replaced fathers in the home. Crime is through the roof in these areas and there are very few fathers at home. BLM enters last summer and how did they help? They didn't. They burned buildings and looted and made everything worse. A saw an older black lady being interviewed on the street and she was crying. She said she had no transportation to get groceries, but that didn't matter because the store where she shopped was burned down. And what business wants to rebuild in that area? I know Biden was the one who crafted these bills and yet they put him in office. I mean, if anyone is racist, Biden is it!! He's not going to do a thing to help the blacks. He wants them right where they are. If Planned Parenthood doesn't get them, black on black crime will or the prison system. People need to wake up!

Actually the causes are on both sides of politics.
The republicans use the financial institutions like banks and insurance companies to keep people poor and the Democrats use factories and Government handouts to keep people in poverty...
Both sides are the financial elite using different systems to ensure the average person remains poor and financially impoverished.
Most people just don't have the wherewithal to actually wade through the blizzard of financial mess it takes to discern that both sides don't have our interests in mind whatsoever.

Work harder so you won't have time to notice how we are manipulating the system against you. That's what the republicans want.

Politics is not the answer...

Having an actually honest government is.

Count it all Joy -- An example

If this trial doesn't wake people up nothing will.

Mike Lindell said that the stolen election was perfect. By that He meant it was God's perfect plan. Why? He supported Trump, why would he think that stealing the election would be "God's perfect plan", why would he rejoice? He said if Trump had won despite the election fraud no one would have cared about the election fraud, but because he lost people cared and demanded an investigation. Trump losing shined a spotlight on the fraud.

Also if it had been close, say a charismatic Obama versus an energetic Trump, competing campaign rallies, then it would be totally believable whoever won. But the fact that Biden has dementia, his rallies had about 8 cars in the lot that were from the local rental agency, rented by his campaign, and the fact that he hid in the basement during the campaign made it unbelievable. Trump went to five rallies in a single day, these rallies would be packed with tens of thousands of people all dressed in gear supporting him. The contrast could not have been more stark, that is what Lindell said when he said it was "perfect".

Within days grass roots protestors had formed the "Stop the Steal" rallies. They were not created by Trump's campaign. Thousands of witnesses came forward and signed affidavits. Experts from around the world joined in the effort doing statistical analysis, tracking down hundreds of thousands of mail in ballots, checking voters rolls, and filing legal challenges. No one paid these volunteers. That was "perfect", the Spirit of the Lord moving in the conscience of people around the world to stop this house from being broken into. Soon over 50% of the country believed the election was stolen and 70% supported election audits. When Biden and the mainstream media persisted in calling these people as "insurrectionists" the F Joe Biden chants began. Claiming they were saying "Let's Go Brandon" made things even worse as the brazen lies, lack of shame, and total disrespect shown to the US voters was on display.

Why is the US important? Throughout human history human government has been tyrannical. Pharaohs, Kings, Emperors, Dictators, and Generals have all run the various countries. Early experiments with Democracy were only for landholders, the elites, not for slaves, working folks, common man. In world history the US is unique. Were they sinful? Yes. Were they composed of greedy and selfish people? Yes. But it was a government by the people, for the people and of the people. It has never happened before and if it fails it might never happen again. Israel's future, Taiwan's future, they both hang in the balance. If the US falls they fall, and if they fall then it will only be a matter of time till Australia and New Zealand fall. Every other country (Japan, S. Korea, S. Africa, etc) will become puppets overnight.

But this is like the trial where Jesus was convicted and sentenced. It was so obviously corrupt that no one could miss it. I believe that JFK's assassination was an inside job carried out by elements of our national security apparatus. That is based on years of study of the evidence. You may not believe that, fair enough. I also believe that the reason Nixon had to resign was because he couldn't let his henchmen fall on their swords because they had been involved in the assassination. I also feel that 9/11 was an inside job. The evidence is quite compelling and overwhelming that the official story is completely false. It becomes a little murkier when you want to know exactly who carried out this operation, but it is like looking through a dirty window. We can see enough though not as clearly as we would like. But maybe that is not enough for you, fine. Surely the mortgage meltdown in 2008 should have been enough. You could see clearly then that the people robbing widows houses and for a pretense making long prayers were protected and supported by Obama and Bush. The corruption in the government at that point was so astounding everyone should have been clear. That is why 80 million voted for Trump, they were clear.

So this election fraud it was perfect, we have 80 million who are already convinced, but as the evidence comes out you will see more and more people wake up and see what is going on. Recent polls show Biden only has 38% who still support him and you should note the pollster who did this has shown a 14% bias for Biden in the past elections. It is plausible that Biden's support is now less than 30%. Maybe seeing CGI of Biden talking to reporters will wake them up, that is right, not a dream. Maybe seeing a scripted press conference with everyone having prerehearsed lines, maybe that wakes you up. Maybe seeing the censorship of the news concerning Hunter Biden will do it, apparently that woke up 6% of those who had voted for Biden. Lindell has released two movies "Absolute Proof" and "Absolute Interference". Approximately 200 million people watched at least one of these movies.

But even if that doesn't wake you up perhaps the loyalty pledge they want the military to make, the most persuasive evidence of a cult, that will do it. Perhaps seeing the hypocrisy of those calling for Trump's impeachment after the inauguration, the same people who supported BLM riots and looting, perhaps that will wake you up. Or the hypocrisy of those crying about "kids in cages" with Trump yet have gone silent with three times as many "kids in cages" with Biden. Maybe the hypocrisy in pushing for gun control laws by Biden while covering up and not enforcing felony violations of gun control laws by Hunter Biden will wake you up. Maybe the executive actions about eliminating genders, or legalizing abortions right up to birth, or having American's pay for abortions for foreigners, or maybe watching at they spend 90% of a $1.9 trillion dollar bill paying back their political friends.

The cross of Christ, it reveals the Son of God with the power of resurrection, it also reveals Satan, the liar and thief who comes to kill, steal and destroy. The cross of Christ is perfect, therefore we need to rejoice. Rejoice that the flesh, and Satan and the world has been nailed to the cross and rejoice that Jesus has the power of resurrection.

hmmm...I never said the judge was not upset. in fact, he was angry

I did not see red face nor did I hear yelling. the judge was pretty patient, which he was

he didn't put up with the prosecutor's line of questioning nor his attempt to introduce evidence that had already been excluded

now, we shall put each other on trial

I agree with you

he should not have been there to begin with
I agree. Unfortunately when the police are camping, the National guard is held in standby, the local militias are either criminal oriented or if legit frowned upon, and the local to state government officials did nothing to stomp the summer of fire and terror that the nation witnessed, it had many If us gearing up for what many of us thought would be mob violence around every city near you. The government, local entities, and those rioting should be the one's on trial for all the damage, death, and terror that they either allowed to occur or committed.

Look how hard they went against the Jan 6 incident at the Capitol. Where is that response to the summer of terror?

The environment left a gap behind the failures of men that gave way to the response of teenagers.

I am a member in a law room chat ,we watch many trials. The last I've watch was Robert Durst,it took 5 months so I've taken a break.

In this forum many aspects of what we see in the courtroom are discussed.
The mods there are much more stern towards stuff accepted here.

I have many interest and enjoy rationally discussing the topics at hand and yes I have had my feathers ruffled here and there.lol

We are not glorified as yet but one day..........
