This is our real enemy...not some football player who won't stand up during the national anthem.

Hey... Darth Vader may have been mostly machine, but he at least had a heart. How dare you put him on Hillary's level!

It's all good my brother, and believe me, my patience is thin as well. You're absolutely correct in what you share, and we need to be ever aware of the storm that will eventually be coming to America, and we need to be vigilant because what's coming ain't gonna be pretty.
It's already on the horizon.

I quit watching sports 30 years ago, and I haven't regretted one minute of it. It's people like this clown who remind me of why.

I Love this country,so I wouldn't have did what Colin Kaepernick did,but I understand what he Is saying,I just feel bad for his family.

Hopefully a positive and mature discussion will be produced and accepted.Truth that can be accepted by what Is seen In our history books and what Is seen In actions from our ways of thinking because we all know America has a history and that history needs to be brought Into the light and dealt with Instead of hiding our heads In the sand, pretending that If we don't discuss this elephant/tension In the room, that the problem will disappear, but we all know the Truth Is magnified on the Inside and pretended on the outside.

I'm not a football fan because I find football to be mind-numbingly boring but this got on my nerves. Refusing to stand for the anthem should result in immediate ejection

That pretty much matches up with my experience as well. When I worked in America each morning we had to go down to the camp fire area to raise the flag and sing the anthem. I was asked to stand but given a choice as to whether I participated in the singing or not. I would've stood regardless, but they did make the expectations clear. There would be no one present who refused to stand in acknowledgement and respect. I put it down to a cultural difference factor. Interesting piece, thanks for bringing it to attention.

What about the discussion where we tell these people we are sick of their nonsense and wish they would leave ? How about the discussion about the real issues in the black community and what they need to do instead of blaming others for the problems, when its clear most of the issues are self-inflicted wounds.

We don't know black communities good enough to tell them what's wrong. Whenever we are displaying opinions about "real issues" in the black community, our opinions are nothing else than our interpretations, based on our sets of experiences and knowledge, which, to be honest, comes across rather insufficient. In other words, we don't know the "real" problems. And how would you respond if a black person, or a native American, told you, straight in your face, that he or she knew all your problems, and how to fix them, implying, by expressing this, that you don't?

So the truth of scripture and what we know about how to shape a good moral society, does not apply to the black community? Are you serious? ... No the problem is that we have been afraid to speak the truth about the insanity going on in the black communities as if they are not capable of being held to the same standards of other americans. The "progressives" and this PC insanity has helped to destroy the black folks in America. Its a form of racism to continue to treat blacks as if they are not capable of the same standards as white and give them a excuse for failure.... Dr Carson makes this point everyday

I beg to differ. A community has to start sorting out their own problems first. And the Truth of Scripture has been misused by people for so long now that e.g. your interpretation of it not necessarily apply because people are getting so used to Scripture being twisted.

I am not giving blacks an excuse to failure, I'm not even in the position to do that, but I am advocating their right to sort out their own problems, like everybody else is. Why is it that black people has to take advice from people like you, a white man, you don't know what it is like being black, and most certainly not what it is like living in a black community.

So why not acknowledge that we are not in a position to offer advice. We are seeing thing from a "white" perspective and there's no way we can fully recognize their problems.

Well you are free to be silent while the black communities are being destroyed by the moral decay being promoted there. I intend to speak out with moral black leaders like Dr Carson, and tell the truth.

Let Dr. Carson tell the truth. They wont be listening to just another white man pointing his morally annoyed finger at them.

No... Dr Carson and others who want to see better things for black Americans need all Americans to start speaking the truth about these issues. You can be silent if you want ...I will do and speak as my conscience tells me.

Well the First Amendment gives you the right to free speech, but sometimes excercising that right is not necessarily the best thing to do.

Exactly... having the right to do something and the right thing to do or not always the same thing
