God does indeed look at the heart. Standing for prayer is an act of reverence for God. So if a person doesn't stand just because he doesn't want to then that shows me where his heart is
Never seen a single church that stands to pray outside of nutjob apostolics, pentecostals, or charismatcis.

I've never seen a church that doesn't stand for prayer.. no one is forced to stand but the only reason not to do so would be if you just feel like being petty

I've seen standing for worship, but never one that requires standing for prayer. Even for worship, you're not required to stand.

Different churches have different ways of operation but if he Pastor asks us to stand then I'm not going to be petty.

A lot of churches including mine stand for prayer. So refusing to stand would be a spirit of rebellion

You claim to be a war vet who fought for our freedoms, but youre only 47. So you would have been born 1969? What conflicts did you fight in? And exactly what freedoms were the US in danger of losing that you defended in those conflicts?

Is it because unless you were in say WW2 when the Nazis were an actual threat and Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, most the conflicts since then have been us helping allies not defending our personal freedoms.

Wow didn't see that insult of my service ... so the battles I fought in the cold war and in the Gulf war was not real enough for you? Well ...im sure for left-wing loons who don't respect any ones service to defend our nation, this is very typical.

Of course one has to be in church to see them stand for prayer. It is done all the time.
