Article 8/22/14
Cynthia and Robert Gifford's denial of the same-sex ceremony was ruled a violation of the state's Human Rights Law and deemed to have "unlawfully discriminated against complainants" by administrative judge Migdalia Peres in her ruling. Additionally, the family will have to post an anti-discrimination poster on their farm for everyone to see.

Believe they will win in a higher court because of separation of church & state with the belief that one religious faith was violated. The state of NY is banking that it doesn't goes to court.

It is similar to Muhammad Ali fight to avoid the draft on religious grounds ... and he won. It is very expensive to fight something like this in court so I hope the ACLU or other organizations will help foot the bill.

CAn not have one rule for one and one for another. If an atheist genuinely did not agree with homosexuality and refused service to homosexuals, what could he use to get a get out of jail free card? CHristian, sure I hate homosexual its evil and disgusting and giving anything to a homosexual for thier marriage is evil and satanic and I dont want to do it.... erm ok,

I Have yet to see evidence of God striking down Christians who have assisted with homosexuals marriages.

Christians don't need to be struck dead by lightening in order to know God's will and word.

[h=3]Ecclesiastes 12:13-14[/h] The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.

THEIR POSITION IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE FIGHTING.

I think Jesus had descriptive words for such actions....

brood of vipers and white washed tombs

The ignorance and stupidity of this situation is so frustrating and amazing it makes me sick to think any....christian.....would find these constant issues anything but disgusting

Good. I say fine the hate mongers. I still can't believe people think they're so much more wholesome than another person because if sexual preference.

Lmao @ small government conservatives supporting laws that dictate what civil liberties one can enjoy or not based upon what they do in private.

So you're saying that, a family does not deserve to have a decision over what their property is used for?

I believe in marriage being intended to be solely between a man and a woman, not just because of spiritual implications, but because of biology. A man is intended to be intimately connected to a woman, not man/man or woman/woman. Because of my moral compass, should I be fined $13,000? I'd say no!

By what you're saying, you are implying that you're more "Wholesome" because you feel your morality is above others... It's a Catch 22 either way...

I'm saying business is business. As proprietors, they shouldn't care about who they're selling to as long as they're turning a profit. At least that's how its done in Logic Land.

It may behoove you to read the scriptures in the Christians Bible and learn about Christianity, rather than hang out at a Christian forum just to (attempt and fail) to insult Christians.

It isn't hate. Christians don't hate homosexuals. Unlike those homosexuals who show up at Christian community forums and prove they hate Christians.
We love homosexuals and recognize their sin need be repented of. We no more condone the damnable sin of homosexuality, any more than we'd condone the acts of murderers, thieves, rapists, adulterers, etc...

The difference between those type sinners, and we who sin ourselves, is the homosexual sinner demands the right to proudly display their sin and parade in the streets broadcasting their ab-normal sin to everyone they see.

I hope that helps you to understand. May Christ come into your heart.

Its called the constitution that guarantees religious freedom. The infringement of rights in this case is the christian's rights and to not see that, is amazingly ignorant

So you're saying enforce the rights of one group at the expense of another group's rights? Is that what I'm to understand?

I don't see how selling wedding attire to homosexual group prevents another group from freely practicing their own religion. At that point, they're not exercising freedom of religion, they're exercising something entirely different.

You ever stop to think that the whole Gay Pride thing is a result of generations of societal oppression against homosexuals?

Most gay people aren't the "living out loud" types. They just want to enjoy the same civil rights and liberties as everyone else.

If an important aspect of your lifestyle was totally stamped on and then make okay after fighting to make it okay, you'd be proud and celebrating the victory too.

It's actually what he called religion conservatives of the various religious sects. Who followed the letter of law, and not the spirit.

What are you doing here?

I'm black and my guy is white. If someone didn't want to marry us I'd go else where.
That is what this couple should of done.

Have you ever been to a pride parade ? These people are not having silent vigils and meetings. They are dancing in butt chaps hanging out and dressed as police men being naughty. That is just being flamboyant and overly sexual for no reason. Gay or straight.

Any Christian who finds this unusual isn't paying attention. That which was right shall be wrong, and that which was wrong will be right. That's the whole agenda of this world and it's rulers. That the Truth is being buried should suprise no one.

I've known a gay couple for over forty years. They have no children. They are not pedophiles. They do not participate in any gay rights demonstrations. They do not attempt to convert anyone to their lifestyle. They also know that the lifestyle that they live is against everything that the scriptures teach. Over the past few years, I've come to respect them more than I respect people who call themselves Christians and live like the devil.

We've been told by the ladies, not to tell them that their lifestyle is wrong because it is against God's word. I don't know how God expects us to share the Gospel with them (I don't believe that he wants us to give up), and I pray daily for him to show me.

Legally, religion has absolutely no bearing on the ethics of legality, and marriage is a legal rite. You're trumped.

You are right, while groups are stereotyped for a reason, any individual within a group can rise above that. I've known good honorable God fearing people who were gay. It's an affliction of the flesh, and there's a difference between being afflicted by it and living in it. So yes, there are honorable gay people, but as a whole the gay agenda is a road to hell.
