Christians must be adamant in their faith.

Being an Osteen or a Fred Phelps is wrong.

The middle ground is truth, the Truth, spoken in love with the intentions of being part of God's salvation plan for someone.

The truth is always going to make some people upset. Truth is a double edged sword, it cuts those who hear it, and those who say it.

We cannot deny Christ before men. We will say and stand on the biblical truth that homosexuality is a sin, hurts those who practice it and introduce gays to the true God, Jesus Christ, who died for their sins and can make them whole.

amen

I don't think it is fair to use that post as an example of all Christians. Not all Christians ignore the sin of the homosexual. In fact they hope to minister to the homosexual and help them to renounce their sin and find Christ and eternal salvation.
Unfortunately, when street preachers dare preach open-air and speak to the sin of homosexuality, they find there are people in that secular realm that protest, object outright, or worse, call the police to stop them.

When Christian groups condemn the homosexual sin they're told they are hate groups. Delivering hate speech. That they are bigots and intolerant and to be ignored.
Southern Poverty Law Center, that use to be committed to civil rights, considers Christian groups that adhere and promote political Christian values to be qualified for their "Hate Groups" list.
Eventually, SPLC will graduate to calling scripture hate speech. It is a matter of time since they've revoked their civil right respect for Christianity already with that label of Hate Group for family values Christian platforms.

True Christians, and their detractors will argue that phrase meets the criteria of "no true Scotsman", don't hate homosexuals. We love them. That's why we don't want to see them go to Hell.

Sadly, those aligned against us and the doctrine of salvation that is to be afforded all people, do. And that's why they seek to silence us with arrest if we preach open air against sodomy. And, as in that excerpted example you kindly provided, they advise other Christians to remain silent even in private council should a Christian know a gay couple. So that while calling one's self their friend, they betray that friendship knowing their friends are going to suffer eternally because they don't feel the need to tell them how to save themselves.

It is a tragedy. But it is not one that is the responsibility of all Christians.
IMHO, all gay people who are living a gay lifestyle knows that they are living in sin. Many try to justify the lifestyle by attending a church, or making criticism of the lifestyle hate speech. Today so many people are lost and living other sinful life styles, that in a country like the US, it is easy to make laws that make laws that can make any agenda a hate crime. A press that provides instantaneous news, and covers only radical acts (like beating gay men to a pulp) performed by radicals who call themselves Christians, makes it even easier. An entertainment industry who makes the lifestyle look normal (sometimes preferred), makes these hate crime designations even easier.

Jesus told us in the Great Commission to go, teach his word, and baptize. He also told us that we would suffer at the hands of the governments, and the rest of the world while doing it. Finally, He told us that when the lost (taking a little liberty here, but I believe it applies the way) rejected the Gospel, to shake the dust off and move on. Here's where I think that we are failing. Many of us are condemning the gay lifestyle, and never taking the time to share the Gospel with them. I can stand on the street corner, or I can stand in the pulpit and preach that the gay lifestyle is a sin, and every gay person who hears me will spend eternity in Hell unless I take the Gospel directly to him. I'm glad that the people who shared the Gospel with me, didn't shake the dust off and move on. My prayer will always be that God will show me the key to the hearts of those I witness to.

We should never compromise the Gospel.

I do not believe secular people can understand what they are doing is sin.

They will find out the consequences from their actions.

They will not like those consequences and will wonder why things in their lives are going so poorly...or

they will try to force their moralities upon others, politically, to make their lifestyles acceptable. This will not only, in their minds, make their lives more accepted by society, but will take the ''stigma'' of their lifestyle away.

Too bad God does not take heed of ad campaigns and political rallies. The consequences of their actions will destroy them no matter how many laws go in their favor...

and they will NEVER CARE until they meet Jesus Christ. They will die in their sin and think its someone else's attacks on them making them sad. They will blame society for not investing into aids research. They will blame christians for their narrow views.

Hurt people, hurt people and those lost in any sexual sin? Are very hurt people.

They might win the battles ( and I sure hope they do not ) but the war has already been won on the cross, and victory is assured by that same cross....

FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE.

Peace will never be found in sin and as they win more battles and get more frustrated the nature of their sins will truly come out.

The world may not recognize this destructive path, but we will. The world will promote their hatreds and bigotry.

We must love, in truth and let the chips come as they may.
